      Wide allows for more muscles. Hips, glues and hamstrings works for the most lart. You also put the weight on your hips rather than your knees which is safer.

      Because the entire sport is about ego-lifting, not doing any proper, beautiful movements. Powerlifters will flock to defend a wide stance awkward ass squat, and try to sway you into thinking that it's okay, but just look at their "proper" bench form. A complete joke sport

      weight increases during concentric .. cues max effort for full ROM rather than getting through sticking point and potentially finishing the lift with less force than initially used .. compensatory acceleration training

      @@crossfittersareweird1037 The best from any generation would domatine the same way born in another . Respect the best of the past , Chuck vogepohl , Steve goggins (first man to squat 500 kg) , Vlad Alhazov ( wr in both equipped and raw/ wraps) and the recent one , Dan bell with his 505 raw w/wraps and 455 raw in sleeves . Before talking about how much a suit does for a lifter, put on a suit , find a gym with a couple of old heads and try on their suits in either the sq or the bp and learn about how the suits developed over the years . Single ply now is miles better and more helpful then multiply in it's early days ever was .

      I accept he may have met the competition rules. However for an effective range of motion squat his feet are two wide and his hip joint doesn't go below his knee joint. It would be far more impressive if it was 70lb lighter but met that criteria.
