  • The Narwal T10 robot mop and vac is cool...but without a spinning main brush, is it any good as a vacuum? Let's find out!

I would love to see side by side comparison with Ecovacs Deebot N9+ or Yeedi mop station. They do not need to switch between modes because they do it all at once.

Me too! But I doubt they will send them to me for testing.

I've had a braava m6 for a year now. Recently got a ilife w450 and I think it does a much better job cleaning floors, it actually takes out must stains unlike the braava. Additionally, the m6 takes much longer to do same area as the w450.
The only thing I dislike about w450 is battery life. I have 1500 sq ft downstairs and it can only do about 80% of area before battery dies. However, it might be something I can fix by adjusting the brush and travel speed. I currently have them set at 50% each with water usage at 25%.
Overall very happy with w450. As for narwal, I thought about buying it but ultimately decided not to due to its high price and possible reliability concerns. Narwal is too new of company for me to invest $1k

Yep, in my upcoming video mopping challenge you'll see that the W450 kicks the crap out of both the M6 and the Narwal. If you slow it down to the lowest setting, it cleans even better. It's how I always run it. 50% water, 100% brush speed and 1% speed (or 0, whatever the lowest is). I still don't really use it much, because the M6 doesn't need me to pay attention to it. I just replace the pad and fill the tank every four days.

I don't really like the vacuum-mop combo bots, but this one is interesting to me, mainly because of the self cleaning function. I wonder how it compares to the older irobot Scoobas, as they are better than any robot mop on the market these days.

The best robot mop on the market is the iLife W450. But it's best only as a mop...it's a little bit of a pain as you have to take it to where you want it to mop and then bring it back, and the cleaning process is annoying. But if you want something that leaves your floors spotless, that's the one you should get.
As for this Narwal, I don't see it as a combo robot. It's a mop. The vacuum part is an unfortunate concession to the demands of consumers who think they want one robot to do everything. I'd put money on the fact that a single robot will not be able to do both well in the next 10 years at least.

Idk. For 1200$, I’d really like if they had included a better vacuum portion. Feels like a real missed opportunity. But I guess this is the only auto mop?

Well, if you live in a house with tiny floor dividers, then no, the Braava Jet M6 is just as "auto." But for most people's homes, yeah. The M6 doesn't clean itself but it uses up its water and needs its pad washed or replaced about as often as the Narwal needs its dirty water dumped and fresh water filled. But this can actually get anywhere in your house that a normal robot vac can get to.

No way I would buy the narwal. Join the narwal Facebook group and you will see all the people that have had issues with it. I will buy the ilife wd 450 when it goes on sale.

@@jeffj9791 So let me give you a little spoiler from my upcoming mopping challenge...the W450 is the best mopping robot on the marker. But only when it comes to mopping. For everything else (navigation, app features, app control, preparation and cleaning, etc.) it's the worst. But if you want something that you can carry into a room and end up with a room that you may as well have spent an hour mopping by hand, it's your huckleberry.
