When my best friend and I went to Ireland 10 years ago we had to ask the immigration officer for a stamp, I think we made his day, he made a big show of it.
Fish and chips looked excellent, hard to find real chips and a decent batter. Wow home made tartare sauce - sounds like the real deal and not just straight from the freezer like most places.
I hope you are still in Ireland when you posted this video (9/29/22), as I'd like to suggest a visit to Trinity College. Very old, very beautiful, lots of history...
If you ask for 'water' they presume you mean bottled water, and will charge you for it. In the UK you can ask for a glass or jug of 'tap water' and they will bring you it free. All restaurants in England, Wales & Scotland that serve alcohol are legally required to give customers free tap water according to the Licensing Act 2003. In Northern Ireland, there's no equivalent provision, restaurant owners don't have to provide anything free, though tap water is conventionally free in many restaurants.
I had blood sausage as a kid at Grandma's home many times, that is until I helped her make it at the farm. Then it went from good to less appealing. She did use everything but the squeal from the pig.
While I'm watching you we are towards the end of Hurricane IAN so far we have been lucky. Yesterday I was replacing the weather strip on the bottom of our garage door. I had the door half way open and propped up so it wouldn't fall on me when a small gust of wind came up and the door popped out of the track and twisted it beyond repair. I called a garage door guy and he was able to Busch fix it enough until we can get a new one ordered. A new insulated door is $3700. Just thought you would like to hear what's going on in Florida. You don't have to go camping to have disasters.
Hope that some day, you guys can teach me how to decide which part exactly from all the footage of a trip to keep and then how to dress it with music, cause even though I do know how to edit, I honesty can not decide which part to save and which one to cut and delete. Wishing you a very very good time up there, and waiting for the next episode.
Only the best of the best makes it into films and sometimes the narrative clips require multiple takes. Shoot with intention and the vision of a story.
Liked how you said blood pudding its called Black pudding. Probably called that so not to put people off eating it. 😆 personally I buy it from the local butchers every week.
I was in a hotel restaurant in lake como and asked for tap water to drink and was told it was not good and I had to purchase bottled water. I replied that I was staying in the hotel and no one told me not to drink the water. They just walked away and I bought a bottle of water.
Thats not soda bread it looks more like wheaten bread to me, its like eating card board. The scampi should be the best in Europe. Just go into any garage or supermarket and ask for Soda Bread. it should be an inch thick and shaped like a quarter. Ps try the potato bread, its normally cooked in a frying pan served with bacon, eggs and tomato sauce, or HP brown sauce. Ps I normally cut soda bread length ways and toast it. (1 Quarter becomes a half) Its very filling.

Steve Eberly What! Ireland is not part of the Uk the North is, the Republic of Ireland is a sovern independant country no wonder visitors get confused when the people of the Uk dont know simple geo political apologies if your not from the Uk.
Ireland and the UK has had a soft border for a long time. It's causing issues now the UK has left the EU. The EU want a hard border in place where you would be stopped by border control.

We really enjoyed getting water when we asked in the UK.

I quit drinking in 2014 so water is my drink and going to Ireland and not drinking is tuff.
Do you plan to go to Northern Ireland if so be sure to visit the Titanic exhibit.
