Top to bottom, stem to stern a fabulous upgrade by SETAG, again. They never, never, fail to deliver. Top marks to them and top marks to you Nick, for an excellent and enthusiastic tour, as ever. 👍👍👍
£460K is an approximate value of the boat now, not the cost of the refurb. SETAG has answered the cost of the refurb question several times in the comments. 🙂
When the sump in the bilge looks polished - the least visited spot onboard, it means that's a CLEAN boat. Thanks to Nick, SETAG and the owner for this wonderful tour.
The owner is obviously a person of great taste....I give you the Cohiba cigar sitting nonchalantly sitting on the ashtray! Outstanding. Cheers from a (very chilly) Otford, Kent.
One of the best refurbs of a boat of this era I've seen. They spared no expense doing this. I actually like the period interior designs of Sunseekers from this time. I think the high gloss cherry woodwork throughout is classy and timeless and I love the sumptuous way the seats envelope you. But this is a refit that would fool anyone into thinking this boat is no more than 3-4 years old. Nice socks too!!!
Well if you look at the bilge its spotless, tells me they did A LOT MORE than just update the cosmetics on this yacht. Looks like top notch work, hopefully it provides the owner many years of trouble free cruising. Also I can see why the owner wanted to restore this boat, man the lines on it are SEXY. And I do love the layout on both the top deck and cabin deck.
Hi Nick, And thank you for this super nice show of this Sunseeker Portofino from 2006 what are refurbised by Setag and what a great job they did impresive they did it very well with still some details from the past like the lockers still in cherries but new material in the rest of this yacht the engines painted white give a much brightened light inside TRhanks again Nick a great start of a new week ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That is a stunner. Love the two cabinets. That second cabin is fantastic; not as cramped as I though it might be, probably due to the v drives . Nice one nick as always
Thanks for showing this. Very impressive. Setag should be very proud of their work, crafts folk, design team etc. ( If they did so, I'd choose them to refurb my tired old bones)
Second time I’ve watched this one! So many ideas and a great way to get an old boat looking as good as new ! Definitely would go that route with seatag!
They did a fantastic job! Can't realistically change the hull windows, but both interior and exterior look fantastic! We refurbish our homes - doing the same for a yacht (often much more expensive than a home) makes total sense. Thanks for the tour!
What an absolute beautiful job they’ve done thank you Nick for taking us round another enjoyable video thank you very much. Hope you’re having a great week
Brilliant tour of a fantastic refurbishment. I dread to think of the cost, but however much it was would be pennies compared to a new Sunseeker. So great value for money really. SB2 off to Setag this winter then?!
Looks fabulous. I'm a bit surprised that the owner didn't replace the engines with modern diesels whilst he was about it, but I guess that (a) the old Volvos are pretty reliable, with less electronics to go wrong and (b) you have to stop spending money somewhere 😁
It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but outside of the super yacht episodes I do love the episodes when we get to see Setag's magic bringing new life into great boats needing some special love , I doth my hat to you Nick for another top upload all the best from Cornwall 🤗👌🖖
The new refit looks great!! amazing tour Nick.. Keep up the good work.. enjoy your channel as always. I gather smuggler's blues 2 is up on blocks for the winter.
Aloha; BRILLIANT! Love the SETAG "re-do." Fantastic work! I'd be interested in seeing any other SETAG reno(vations)s that you stumble across. And maybe a visit/interview of SETAG about what they do, their history, their capabilities. All in the pursuit of sustaining "mature" boats. Mahalo!
Thank you!... Our projects average costs are between £80k - 100k + VAT (if applicable) which would give you the same look & feel as this Portofino. But this particular project involved extensive engineering work which would be on top of this. Our projects are bespoke to our clients and have ranged from £1000 - £1mil so we can achieve anything 😀
You can definitely see why people prefer SETAG the quality of there work is second to none the owner must be so proud of the work thay have done PS have you had any oil on your new trousers yet

They really have done a great job with this one. The old 46 is a lovely boat to start with, and they've really worked their magic on it. Just the right blend of nods to the original whilst completely overhauling and upgrading. I especially like the grey gel coat/spray. Nick, any ballpark of what this would cost? I'd picture the £80-100k ballpark including engine rebuilds?
Nick I really appreciate those video's of refurbished boats. Like the increadable Superhawk 55 of Richard. That was such a tremendous beautifull project wich we could follow through the whole process. Also those Setag projects. I mean, buy a nice new 1 million € or £ boat or such a boat about 400/450.00 also about brand new. The only issue I guess is: is the whole hull and decking of the polyester or whatever fiberglass material still in top condition as sometimes weak spots can arrive. And the fuell consumption. If you have quite some running hours per year a new type of engine is more fuell effecient and with IPS probably saves 25/35% of petrol. But than again you pay more than the double for this kind of quality brand new.
It would be interesting to know whether such an intensive refit is cheaper than buying a new boat or not. The amount of expensive labor must be incredible!
A great boat and the refit is stunning! @Aquaholic It does remind me though how i much i miss the tours of Sunseekers on your channel - hopeful that could be resolved.. Also any chance of the Galeon 80 appearing on your channel?
Beautiful update, I'm glad they kept enough of the wood finish to really hilight how good it was. Pretty much is a new boat. Would be nice to know what it cost for that level of a refurbish. Cheaper than a brand new boat.
Beautiful! It would be highly useful to know the cost of a full refit like this. Many people might consider buying and customizing an older boat rather than purchasing a new one or one that has been refitted by someone else. Incidentally, such information could also help Setag in attracting new clients.
Now that is one hell of a refurbishment. Looks so much more modern now. Thank you Nick for taking us on tour of her
My pleasure!
I like the before pictures sprinkled throughout the video. Impressive contrast between then and now.
Top to bottom, stem to stern a fabulous upgrade by SETAG, again. They never, never, fail to deliver. Top marks to them and top marks to you Nick, for an excellent and enthusiastic tour, as ever. 👍👍👍
Thank you 😁😁
Beautiful boat with a fantastic refit! Setag knocking it out of the park!!! Thanks as always Nick and the owner and Setag for allowing the tour!
Thank you 😁
So, this is a £460k refurb. Looks lovely and he must really, really like his boat.

Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
As good as new. Setag and the owner I salute you.
Nice finish all round. Looks very smart. The metallic grey finishes make it look like a new Princess.
Yet another setag magic touch....a wonderfull job nic they need congratulating....
Thank you ❤
The owner is obviously a person of great taste....I give you the Cohiba cigar sitting nonchalantly sitting on the ashtray! Outstanding. Cheers from a (very chilly) Otford, Kent.
Oops! Too many instances of 'sitting'. Probably need another beer...

I wonder would setag sponsor you a fit out on smugglers blues for the exposure you are giving them? 😊
Great idea!!!
👀
🤔 I Would Like To See 👀
Ooo. That got Setag’s attention.
I thought the same!
what an advertisement for Setag! That looks superb. That's a total strip down and rebuild. But those trousers Nick
I know, cool huh!? 😎

Hello Nick. What a fantastic modernization it looks great. It just shows what you can do to bring a boat back to life.
Once again a great tour.😊
You're very welcome. 🙂
Not only is this a great refurb, the changes to the design they made are imo better than most boats of this size you've shown on the channel.
Thank you 😃
The attention to detail is just fantastic.
SETAG Have made an absolutely amazing job.
Great tour Nick Thanks for sharing this with us all and the Owner for letting you do the full Tour.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fabulous. Refurb, reuse, recycle is definitely the way to go with some of the great boats that have been produced over the years
Fabulous it is now a Restomod Sunseaker, like a Singer or Tuthill Porscher I would love to do this Seatag treatment to a boat.
Work of art transformation, wood looks amazing, contrasts the classic style with the new!!
Thank you 😀
Spectacular refurbishment. I don’t mind the wood, but they did a good job of bringing it up to date.
Thank you!
@@SETAGYachts You’re welcome. New subscriber. Don’t disappoint 😡

Welcome aboard! 🙂
An absolutely awesome refit. Just stunning, well played the owners and SETAG.
Thank you!😀
I love seeing a small
Great job facelifting that classic, and I love that they didn't remove all of that beautiful woodwork 😀Thanks
Wonderful refit of a lovely boat. Thanks for showing us round.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Stunning boat. An amazing refit. A family could easily do a week away on it.
That's a lot of bang for the buck. She's a great yacht. I would not say no to a weekend on here thank you Nick.
Fantastic refit, Setag know there business. Great workmanship and great choices on fixtures and fittings. Nice tour as always Nick thank you.

an outstanding refit and much nicer on the eye too. classic Setag.

Beautiful refit and lovely boat nick🛥🚤⛵️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏👍👍👍
What a change, fantastic job and now a classic boat with all the latest tech. Nicks tour great as always.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
What a stunning boat, just shows what can be done rather than scrapping everything.
Wow, why would anyone buy a new boat when this can be done to an older one.
Possibly my favorite boat you have shown us around 😎
🤩
Really a nice job on refurbishment that would make it interesting video talking to the companies that redo boats

I knew it's going to be a good video when you have the names Setag and Sunseeker in the title.
Love the old with the new, but the old doesnt look old, great contrast, absolutely beautiful.
Truly a lovely boat. To be fair Sunseekers are special to begin with.
I wish the owner many pleasurable years on it!
Brilliant refit. Spared no money to make this great. Loved the video.😊

Gorgeous little boat. Stunning work done. Only minor is no shower in second head unless it's a wet head. Well presented thanks Nick 👍
I would guess the 430,000 Pounds was the restoration/update cost. The Sunseeker Portofino 46 has a fine layout.
That is a guide estimate of the boats value post-refit 😀
