Ceremonials was my least favorite by a long shot because the songs seemed totally unrelated and a lot of them were overproduced. Lungs had some sort of magical quality to it that none of her other albums have had since. It’s one of my favorite albums of all time for that reason.

The concept thingy is true, but thats precisely what makes some songs forgetable: if you cage yourself in a style of songs to explore a subject, you can only do it so many times before its estarts to echo. Lungs felt like an honest and kind conversation, and Ceremonials like a wacky party where everything was happening at once. HB felt at times like a pretentious philosophy teacher that wont stop talking about an idea even though its already perfectly defined.
