You're dead right. Lots of folks don't realize how much pressure a pump can build unless it's worn out. They don't realize they have a grenade if it's dead blocked or it's the relief valve on a valve body or in the system that sets the pressure, not the pump. Neighbor said his wood splitter was locked up. Had a flat head 8 horse Briggs on it. I walked over and flipped the lever off detent return and gave it a spin. He was arguing it couldn't be that so I told HIM to find something else and came home. He was splitting shortly thereafter. That's happened 2ice with me. All the time spent running Cat stuff and Sunstran swashplates on mixers paid off. Thanks Mark, stay warm and God Bless

The only way to do that is the way you're doing it. Hands on the valve and go S L O W and easy.

You are right. I stopped around 4500 PSI. It was turning into a nail biting session. Originally it wouldn't go over 2000 PSI (fully dead-blowed). I knew it was fixed at that point no need to get any closer to the edge...😲😷

Guy I know got a 200? Komatsu hoe that wasn't acting right. Closed centered system and heating up. Needed some foam on the radiator top to keep the hot air from recirculating. Had some hydraulic issues and they had it jacked up and loading it up wide open. Seemed like it was running 4500 too. I HID! Finally found some shorts on the rigs that worked the swashplates in the pumps. He taped the wires that ran underneath the rails and it did fine. I was used to ISO and it was backhoe and he was ambidextrous. Took me about an hour to switch back and forth. It did fine after that. I did eventually. Blessings to All Yall! @@mobilediesel
