  • When you have a water leak, acting quickly to get a solution in place, is key. I’ll be showing you a method that doesn’t require any soldering, and also a couple other quick solutions, if you’re unable to turn off the water from the shut-off valve.

    For immediate pipe fixes from pinhole leaks I've had complete success with a Rothenberger Kibosh. It just clamps on the pipe and stops the leak. I had one on a pipe for a couple months until I got around to a permanent fix. And, they are reusable.

    Why not just cut and replace section with PEX?

      For small sections like this the slip coupling is my go to. Definitely not the only way you could do it.

    Why not just braze or solder hole?? Much cheaper and better warranty.

      Overall I usually try to align with a good option for the average DIY homeowner. Although some are skilled in soldering I would guess it isn't the first option for most.
