Most people struggle to get up for work when young, let alone at 96 when at deaths door! Before that she opened the Thames Hospice - again with mobility issues, but look at the faces of the patients she met - they were given a day they will never forget, a genuine smile, do you have that effect on people when you do your job? In 70 years of service there was not one moral scandal, no maid or private secretary with a bad word to say about her, can this be said of any politician or President who did the same job in other countries? People said time and again that when they met the Queen they felt like they were the only person in the room with her because she gave them her full attention - people with huge ego's can't do this! The Monarchy is a strange thing, but Elizabeth II was an exceptional head of state and a rare person of service, moral virtue and consistent behaviour.
