Another masterclass from the legendary Buckin Billy. Is there nothing this man cannot do with a power saw in his hands. I honestly believe it's a honour and privilege to see him work his magic. Kind regards to the buckin army 🪖. And our love and respect to Billy and his loving family from across the pond

I just moved out in the middle of nowhere on farmland and my cousin owns his own tree company and is teaching me how to trim and fall tree's. I finally bought my own saw and bucked a bunch of firewood for some elderly folks out here and gained some lifelong customers that treat me like family out here. Your videos help me a lot Bill thanks!

I don't know what it is about you but I can't stop watching your videos when I see them. I too started with firewood. When I was a child we heated with wood so Sunday was firewood cutting day. I still have wood stoves in the shop and garage and a fireplace in the house. There's something about cutting trees. I'm also a carpenter so interesting firewood often ends up on my lathe and turns into something more. I also live on a farm so there are always trees that need attention. I still have my Grandfathers chainsaw, and use it. It's an old Homelite that was made about the year I was born, 1965, and it still cuts like a monster. It's the first chainsaw I ever used when I was 12 or 13. The Homelite comes out when I have something bigger and gnarly that needs attention and it never fails. I don't know how many other chainsaws we wore out but the Homelite always seems to come back.

Billy, when I do an under cut like that I tend to do a full plunge cut, the bar height only. I like your idea of just skin a thin slab and split it out on the grain. Same reasons,, some trees need to hang onto the hinge a little longer to continue to guide the fall well after it has started.
