Thank you for vlogging your experiences. As a fellow teacher, I loved seeing the UK classrooms and the children's work. At the schools where I have taught, we are all required to have emergency lesson plans for a week in addition to the week's lesson plans on file in the head teacher's office. If teachers know ahead of time that they will be absent, they can plan something less complicated for the supply teachers. Walking into someone else's classroom and knowing what to do without a written guide is challenging. I hope you vlog more about your teacher experiences!
That was so interesting, thanks for vlogging your week. You did really well adapting to the different classes... a natural teacher. I love your channel topics. More vlogs please x
Thank you so much for this! I’ve been out of teaching for a year and will be returning back to supply soon. So happy you were able to film inside, it brought it all back for me! 🙏
I really enjoyed this!!! I never get to talk to other subs about how their classes were so I like to hear your honest feedback at the end of the day. It’s definitely crazy that we are expected to know what to do with the class when plans fail. I am studying to be a teacher so I also have some experience, but I can’t imagine if you were new at substitute teaching!
I have the potential of being a Cover Supervisor at a High School. I am British Chinese. I have been educated in both countries. I have always been interested in the differences in Education Systems and many of my Chinese Counterparts would ask me about being educated in Britain. I am watching your video to see what has changed in primary school to have a more "updated" mindset. I really love how you edit your videos.
Hiya, This was really helpful to watch! I am an NQT and doing it through supply (they do that in Wales!) Really nervous about my subject knowledge of teaching all the different year groups!xx
Don’t worry you will pick up so much knowledge from supply teaching! Great to get into lots of different schools, hopefully you will get employed through the supply teaching too! Xx
You should! I found it so interesting going into different schools, you see some sights haha. I have been employed now by one of the schools I worked as a supply teacher in too, it's a great way to get your foot in the door.
I absolutely loved your video! Can you please share the music you played? It's wonderful to see classrooms in the UK and the different resources that are used for supply teachers. I'm new to teaching and currently work in Northern Ontario. Keep up the great work and I look forward to watching more of your vlogs. God Bless!!
This seems so fun! Im currently going into my last year of high school, then im going to get my teaching degree in earth science! My dream is to teach in England lol
I am a new subscriber and really appreciate your Godly content. I'm a Brit living in the US and have been a substitute teacher from pre-school all the way to 18/high schoolers..for over 10 years in my town's school district due to all my kids attended the schools . It is really eye opening to see the English classrooms compared to the American ones. It's been awhile since i've been in British schools! I am not a qualified teacher however have my degree credits converted from the UK to the US. We don't have to have a teaching background to be a sub here. How did you deal with rowdy students. that is the main reason i am thinking of not subbing anymore although i like the flexibility. Been praying for years about it but still end up subbing! would also love a vlog on how you intertwine your faith in your workplace in the UK since i feel it is quite difficult to talk openly about God here, especially in schools unless its quietlt with christian colleagues. Thank you and God bless
Starting as a supply teacher next week! I’m super nervous. Do you usually spend part of lunch in the staff room? Not sure what to say when I go into the staff room
Hi, I was wondering if one is able to survive in the UK as a supply, without any other source of income...? I'm looking at secondary school supply from the next academic year after working at the same school for the past 10 years, but I'm quite worried... Any advice? 😭
Hi! It's very hard to come down from a regular teaching income to supply teaching. I would advise possibly looking at a part time teaching role elsewhere rather than supply. I was only making around £400-800 per month. If you can get a supply job where you can work full time you will be better off but I was doing it day to day. x

Hope you enjoyed it!
Your accent is so cute! 😍
I’ve never heard of a reception/year 1 I think they should be separate because reception is such a fundamental year
Yeah I totally agree!

Ahh cool! I hope you get to achieve your dream one day!
Love seeing a week in the life as a sub! I always enjoy your vlogs. Just wondering - have you ever considered homeschooling?
Yes I have looked into it in detail and it is something that I would love to do.

Hi lovely, do you usually get work left by teachers or do you sometimes have to come up with lessons on the spot?
I now have my own class but when I was doing supply I always had work left by teachers apart from that one time in this video 😊
