Please try to buy from fresh vegetable markets. The price difference in malls vs fresh vegetable markets is huge and you get fresh supply of the produce.
Also the apple which you did not take is much tastier imo as it is sweet, sour, crunchier and locally produce. Please try it once.

you should try to tie your hair in a plaid or pony tail when outside because open hair makes it more hot and hair might stick to sweaty neck which is also uncomfortable.
the imports are heavily expensive and to be honest i like that because of it most of the indians buy products of india and so the money goes to india and not to any other country
the prices of vegetables are a little high than vegetables being sold in "mandi" but i think its more comfortable if you buy it from store than mandi because mandi people might say a little more price after seeing that you are foreigner (unless you go to mandi with an indian friend)
when in rickshaw, you should tie your hair so it doesn't get tangled. sit in the middle (if there is no door)as it is safer.
you can buy fresh milk daily from dairys, they are in every colony (a dairy must be near your house too)
about the pista, the one you were buying before was 500gm for 989 rupees(1gm for 1.978 rupees)
while the one they gave you was 520gm for 988 rupees (1 gm for 1.900 rupees)

India is the 2nd largest producer of fruits and vegetables in the world due to which you will find all kinds of fruits and vegetables and their products in India..Besides this, India is also the world's largest producer of Rice ( since the last 5 years), milk, pulses and jute, and ranks as the second largest producer of wheat, sugarcane, groundnut and cotton.
spices in the world..This is why it is easier to find all these in India and pruces vary depending upon the shops you are in - street shops or supermarkets or malls or other places...Also, the sweets/chips which you think are expensive are not because they are imported, they are made in India products. The reason for high price is because the prices in shopping malls and airports in India are very high compared to the same thing found in street shops..You must have found a huge difference in the Prices of even sweets and candies 🍬 in aiports/malls to those in street shops..

i prefer the other apples because they are sweeter than the ones you bought. the big ones are also not so crisp.

I was looking for an explanation too for inflated prices, no way those good day cookies cost 75, they even got the manufacturers to inflate the price so to sell it at a mall.
