Hey, so the lamp route map I made is from the player's point of view. When you teleport into the room you see the room like in the route map I made. I made it that way because it helped me to understand it better. BUT! maps you will find on google are from a STATIONARY minimap point of view. That is why if you look at my minimap and the route I put on the up left corner at the same time, it might confuse you, because my minimap is also stationary(it does not rotate). If it rotated you would see the same thing I put on the up left corner. Just wanted to let you know to avoid confusion.
thx for the guide. had to improvise it in my static because we didnt find a PUG lamp. so during the downtime i watched the video and after one fail where i got confused with the direction (because of the map xD). so now im the backup lamp in my static. Thank you very much for this video guide which is short enough to learn doing lamp in downtime :D
I'm sorry, but this guide is incredibly bad and has incorrect information all over the place. 1. Air Sigil is bad. You should use Impact Sigil on the staff, and Sigil of Fire or Sigil of Accuracy on the shortbow. 2. Dagger storm does not have "high burst" - it's a DPS loss compared to simply auto attacking. 3. Dagger storm is indeed interruptable, either via dodging, weapon stowing, or weapon swapping. 4. Not sure why Thieves Guild isn't a burst, as it is your highest DPS option for an elite, and can be precasted.... which is, by definition, a burst. 5. You made no mention of taking Basilisk Venom, which is what you should be taking in the vast, vast majority of pug groups that you join, to help with the breakbar during the boss phase. 6. You made no mention of taking Shadow Portal, which is used to return from the pyre to the boss instantly. Aside from being an obvious DPS increase, it is also one of the best things you can do to improve a groups winrate, for multiple reasons. Eliminating the run back from the pyre keeps players more closely stacked together, resulting in better heals/boon uptime. It also lets you skip the jumping puzzle during the last phase, which a lot of inexperienced players will struggle with. 7. Your Magnetic Bomb usage in the lamps was incredibly poor. On the first two lamps, you should use autos for the first 3 rooms, one bomb in the 4th room, and one bomb in the 5th room. On the third lamp, you should use one bomb in the 3rd room and one bomb in the 4th room. 8. Using staff in the lamp is not "advanced": it's simply stupid. Shortbow autos are faster than anything you can do on staff for everything except the last three rooms on lamp 3. 9. Speaking of lamp 3, you made no mention of using Dust Strike (staff 4) on the giants. It stops the big knockback attack, can cleave both of them if they're not stacked, and stacks vuln for your other DPS players. Please, if you're not very knowledgeable about what you're doing, just don't make a guide. All you're accomplishing here is making it harder for people to find actually useful information, and misleading those who do actually end up here.
Thank you for your input and sharing your opinions on how to improve things! But there isn't only one way of doing things in a game and as you can see I can manage to complete the lamp duty successfully. We could talk about which way is better but clearly you choose to go as far to tell someone to not make videos when they clearly successfully do it in the said video. So I won't do that. If it works it works, does it have to be in your way?
@@GilGaladGaming Excellent response. The video was very helpful and I'll definitely give this a go. The points they mentioned weren't wrong, and some could result in an improved success rate, but the way they communicated was unnecessary. Thanks again for the guide!
