Hello Mandy, I do agree with your thoughts on what happened at the end of the book. The story didn't need that event to happen, but I do understand why the author added it. I gave the book a 4.5
I recently read this book i did enjoy it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ it's the first book by elsie silver that I read definitely will be reading her other books
