I think we can all agree that Bounty hunters are supposed to be an equalizing force. The bounty system that I've used in my Campaign is as follows: After a battle, each gang may spend credits from their stash to place a bounty on one opposing gang member, and the amount is matched by the Lex Imperialis. Then, at the start of any game, each gang gets a discount on hiring bounty hunters equal to the opposing gang's highest bounty. For example; one gang spends 7 credits on placing a bounty on Jimmy Fasthands after a game where he injured their gang leader, and that bounty is doubled to 14 credits. Any gang then facing a gang including Jimmy Fasthands in the future will get a 14 credit reduction in hiring bounty hunters. The bounty only goes away if that Ganger is Captured (in which case the captors can claim the bounty!) or is killed. Bounties are additive, so that 14 credit bounty would increase to 24 credits if the next gang placed a 5 (x2) credit bounty on the same ganger. In practice, this allowed players to stack bounties on annoying or problem gangers, and meant that if players used broken combos of skills or weapons, they would inevitably see a bounty hunter showing up to tackle them sooner or later. We even had a Gor Half-Horn make an appearance! It was also quite fun for notorious gangers to acquire large bounties for memorable reasons, feel hunted and on the run, allowed us to keep a scoreboard of highest bounties, and even make little bounty posters to post around the terrain.
@@cammo1397 a lot of this can be fixed by changing point costs, but nerfing initiates would also work. The infiltrate skill is op here imo, but it should be play tested. In the end loading up on template weapons is never a bad idea with any gang. Setting the butcher on fire or even webbing him is a good idea. Cleanse with fire!!
Many similar to what we use. A couple of ours I like: Sentries: RAW you can practically pick your sentries. We keep it more random by maximising those you can exclude to D3+1 although leaders may always be a exempt from sentry duty. Lasting Injuries: Roll on the table for the number of OOA results and only apply the worst as opposed to all of them.
Yeah, they aren't really podcasts though for the most part, and I'd have to extract audio from files I no longer have. I appreciate what your saying though so ill definitely think about it fir the future. I do actually run an entirely separate podcast too so it would make sense to kill two birds with one stone
@@wellywoodwargaming ah, it’s a real shame you have lost the files. There is an app / plugin that lets you download RUclips videos. I think just cutting the audio out of these would work fine. You could also add a spiel at the beginning like “please check out my RUclips etc” if you wanted to. What’s your other podcast out of interest?
@swampybwoy yeah this is the first time I've even thought about it thanks to you! I'll definitely look into it. My podcast is called "cutting the crap" and is mainly barbering focused 😀
@@wellywoodwargaming well I’m glad to give you some ideas 😅 even if it was self motivated! There’s other podcast clients you can use like Spotify, Libsyn, Amazon. We often house rule that targeting a point rather than a fighter has a -2 to hit, except for weapons with the Grenade type. Makes those grenade launchers a bit less precision sniping tools.
@@wellywoodwargaming the reason we use -2 is that it's the same as the penalty for full cover, which is what you're getting around most of the time. Given deviation when you miss and the ability to affect multiple targets, blast template weapons still feel extremely effective in our games.
speaking about Omen of Fortune - there is no such thing as "turn" specified by geedubz. we are 100% sure those who wrote this mess basically made 4 mistakes in the word "round" lol
What do you think about making switching ammo type an action, like reloading after a failed ammo check? Thanks for goin over your house rules. Helps make sense of some of the weirder rules interactions.
You can reload multiple ammo types but only after rolling the higher ammo value. For example smoke and krak on a g launcher. You can't reload krak on the 4+ smoke ammo roll, only smoke. Is that what you mean? 🤔
@@wellywoodwargaming Yea, you have to pass an ammo check to switch ammo, checked against the ammo you are switching to. Makes it use an action, and you don't outlaw ammo junkies - gives a chance to fumble bullets.
How do you do inducements for scenarios that are supposed to have uneven crew ratings? Say an attack and defend scenario where attackers are at a disadvantage because of battlefield or objective so they get more fighters in the rulebook.
I'm also using the 1 Superchamp per gang rule, but there's a problem with Escher - it hasn't come up yet though. When your leader or (regular) champ dies and you have a Clan Chymist, there's a chance for them to come back as a Death Maiden, did you make a house rule on that?
do you play the blast rule as written? it feels weird that someone can shoot a mullti melta through friends and foe to a point on the ground without a negative modifier or a chance to hit the people in the wey

I think cgc masks should only work in their vision arc.
Thanks for this it's exactly what I needed!
That's also a great idea actually!
That’s how we play Terrifying. Only applies from the front or 360 if it’s say a Spawn or something equally gribbly.
CGC says have to have Initiates equal to Skinners in the gang. Do you 'House rule' anything about this..?

Does that include Shotguns for their template option, or just grenades?

That's decent but -2 is quite harsh. -1 might be more agreeable for folks perhaps?
