David, thank you for keeping the videos going through lock-down; they're a real treat. My wife has also started to watch, and enjoy, them with me and she's not a photographer!
Massive thumbs up as always, really enjoyed this video so much. Thank you for still posting in these times, it's great you showing us how creative you can be if you just look !!! 👍🏼
I really enjoyed the sea pinks image. All were nice but it was my favorite. The life depicted against the forboding sky told a story I thought. I do appreciate you making videos even under less than great circumstances. As always Dave, love the channel.
Yes I just love the sea pinks at this time of year. There are some huge bunches along the coast, but not were I can reach by bike so I'll probably have to wait until next year as they'll be all over by the time they let us out again! 😊👍
Hi Edward, thank you so much as ever for your very generous support. I'm guessing we'll be seeing some more of your photography before too long now things are getting a little easier? 😊👍
D Griff Gallery....My pleasure entirely David, thank you for sharing them with us .....yes, hopefully, I’ll start picking up again, all the kit’s been ‘Spring cleaned’ in readiness 👍😉
Well, you may be 'stuck', but I am enjoying your images. The ocean, the rocks, the flowers, the wildness of your backyard, sort of feel like I am on a trip to Wales, while safe-distancing in FLorida. Much appreciate your work.
Hello Michelle, thank you so much for watching and being good enough to take the time to leave such generous and supportive feedback. I had always been into minds about whether to continue with the channel recently, but if I can bring even a small amount of light entertainment to people in difficult circumstances it is the very least I can do. Thanks again for watching! 😊👍
Many thanks for watching. I think a lot of people automatically assume that a wide open vista has to be shown in an almost panoramic aspect ratio. But I felt that the left and right parts of the image were adding nothing to it as all the interest was down the middle. It never worries me to crop quite aggressively if the composition warrants it! 😊👍
The lack of stress in your videos is a real benefit. So many photography vlogs leaves me feeling inadequate because I don’t have all the right equipment or cannot travel to exotic places. Your videos are calm and reassuring. Does the Welsh tourist board have you on commission, because they should! I have little in the way of post processing facilities, but still learn a lot from your technical info. Thanks.
Hi Peter, many thanks indeed for your very kind feedback. It is much appreciated. As for the Welsh tourist board, I strongly suspect they've never heard of me!! 😊👍
Hello Brian, that is very kind of you to say, I'm so glad I have been able to offer even a small amount of entertainment. I was slightly concerned at the outset that people would feel I was being a unfair to people in extremely difficult circumstances, when I my own countryside on my doorstep. But the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and I am so grateful to people like yourself for continuing to support my channel. It is very much appreciated 😊👍
I really liked that last image with the oystercatcher David. Lovely video, and well done for managing to put it together at the moment! I know how you feel staring at those mountains, I’d been looking forward to getting the tent out all winter, waiting for some warmer weather! Still it will make it even more special when we finally can make it out there! All the best, Sam.
Your video's over the last few weeks have certainly kept me entertained. I really look forward to your video's every week and have loved all your images. Please keep it up and hopefully soon you can move further afield. Thanks again and stay safe.
Hello Len, very many thanks for being good enough to watch my videos and taking the time to get in touch with such generous feedback. I really appreciate it, and I hope to keep you entertained in future! 😊👍
This was an entire course on composition contained in 12:24 minutes - thanks! It was lovely to see and hear the seashore. I am never likely to see Wales in person, so I always enjoy your tours of the beautiful place where you live.
Hi Kathleen, very proud and privileged to be your personal tour guide! And so glad you found Photography enjoyable too. There is a rumour going around that I might be able to get back into the mountains before too long, although I will still be doing coastal shoots on summer evenings as the sun goes down into the sea! 😊👍
I will look forward to seeing your pictures when you are able to go back to the high country. I will be envious! Between my new knee and my husband’s current health issues, we are unlikely to be hiking anywhere even when our mountains are open again. I am always interested to not only see your finished product, but to follow your process. I have learned a lot from your videos along with the guided tours. So thanks again!
Thanks again for yours videos. From my apartament I can see the sea from more than two months ago, but We can't go to feel the sea breeze, so see you smile on the beach making some photograph is good news. Seen your video I was thinking the huges differents between yours coast and ours. The yours is almost wild, our it is a long long street than starts here in Andalusia, in Algeciras, and end at the north of Catalonia with nature in very littles exceptions 😢. Enjoy yours coast a never let degrade.
Yes, Manuel, I know what you mean. I have visited your part of the world and it is unfortunate how much it has been built up over the years. When I first visited some of the towns along the coast were small fishing villages and now they are of high rise hotels!! 😊👍
Sad to see the world in such a tuff state in your end of town. good to see your alive and well. Squeezing a few shots off. when you get a time.. two weeks wow dam it
Hi Harry, yes it has been a difficult time but hopefully we are coming towards an easing of the current situation. And as you saw I do at least have some good locations nearby. Many thanks for watching! 😊👍
Thanks for the video. My first visit to lovely Anglesey was a leisurely day trip along the west coast from Conwy last summer. I’ll plan an a longer stay on my next trip to UK.
You know what? I was really tempted to click on one of those pathetic RUclips standard replies. Obviously for a laugh. But then I thought "what if he thinks that's what I actually said?!" I dictated this lot instead. I'm a bit bored this morning ... 😊👍

Slow catching up this week, David. Can’t agree with the ‘makeshift’, certainly varied and probably not what you would have done but for the lockdown. The first image was my favourite this week. Seeing the mountains every day is getting a bit frustrating and as you said in the Pubcast it’s going to be a bit busy once they open the gates again. Still, we do have some quieter places on and off the island to go to until it calms down again. Cheers!

Hello Dave great vlogs during lockdown not sure if you have had many lately but how about another question and answer vlog just been looking through your back catalogue stay safe
Hi Alan, no I haven't done a Q&A for a very long time. I was a bit wary of dropping one in during lockdown simply because it's what a lot of other people are doing whilst we can't get out and about so much. However, I think there is one overdue but I will need to get the word out so I can have some questions to answer. Maybe think about doing it in a few weeks, and perhaps from the summit of a mountain even!! 😊👍
My initial feeling when I saw the time of day that you headed out was........leave it till later in the day, lower sun, better light etc but I have to say David, you knocked out some great shots all be it a lot of guile in post. Well done. Another enjoyable vlog.
Hi Fergus, you make a very fair point but I'd seen on the weather forecast it was going to cloud over significantly so there was little chance of any interesting light later on. Oh those oystercatchers never shut up! I've already had messages about getting involved in photographing birdlife. But I think that's probably the limit of my skills. There is no way I'm lugging about a 600 mm equivalent lens just so I can get a bloody close-up on their eyeballs! 😊👍
Yes, well spotted! I'm not one for wearing branded clothing as a rule, But this was a souvenir from the VIP opening night, and when I went to grab a clean T-shirt it was all that was left in the drawer! 😊👍
Sitting on a bench and have something to eat? At any moment I except John Cleese to enter frame dressed as a police constable and question your activities..
Yeah they were forced to backtrack and write that into the regulations after the Welsh health minister was photograph sitting on the bench eating chips the day after they had decided to extend the full lockdown for another three weeks. Frankly, Monty Python could do a much better job of running the country than the amateurs is in the Senedd! 😊👍

Oh those oystercatchers never shut up! I've already had messages about getting involved in photographing birdlife. But I think that's probably the limit of my skills. There is no way I'm lugging about a 600 mm equivalent lens just so I can get a bloody close-up on their eyeballs! 😊👍
Lovely images David 👍
Cheers Russell, appreciate your tuning in 😊👍
David I thought you had given in and joined Darren and Gary as you where showing the heron so much 🦜🦜🦜🤣🤣🤣
Hi Ken, no there is very little chance of that. A bit of wobbly footage is the best you can hope for from me when it comes to wildlife!! 😊👍
Ah, is that a “Dismaland Bemusement Park” shirt I see you sporting? At first it had me confused. 😀
Yes, well spotted! I'm not one for wearing branded clothing as a rule, But this was a souvenir from the VIP opening night, and when I went to grab a clean T-shirt it was all that was left in the drawer! 😊👍
Fibonacci in the sand.
Yes it was definitely looking that way! 😊👍
The Biking Chronicles return. We can now travel up to 150km from home.
Blimey, you'd end up with a sore arse if you cycled that far!! 😊👍
@@DGriffGallery That's why they invented cars,Dave. Don't you have them over there??
Sitting on a bench and have something to eat? At any moment I except John Cleese to enter frame dressed as a police constable and question your activities..
lol
“And now for something completely different”
Yeah they were forced to backtrack and write that into the regulations after the Welsh health minister was photograph sitting on the bench eating chips the day after they had decided to extend the full lockdown for another three weeks. Frankly, Monty Python could do a much better job of running the country than the amateurs is in the Senedd! 😊👍
