I made a mini workbench similar to the Workstation Pro, and I used hard maple which has worked very well. Added a large front vise and definitely helps raising the assembly table I use for certain tasks.
I received some of those rubber pieces several years ago and could not remember what they were for. Later after throwing them out, I realized their use and just cut up some rubber hose, which was what they looked like anyway. Who has not thrown something out to find later what it was intended for.
As you say Sean, great investment if working wood is your business. It looks like top notch gear but it's expensive for someone like me. Do you have any recommendations for more economical but decent quality benches for the hobbyist who hasn't quite reached the skill level of making their own bench?
Hi Ian! Thanks for watching! Well Sjobergs sells some cheaper versions, but also Axminster have their own range of work benches which are great as well!
When you spend a lot of time explaining the wonders of a dog clamp and how miraculous it is, I guess you have to in order to justify a $73 clamp or a $125 mini vise. This is ridiculous.
Great Show, Always good knowing about tools/utilities etc.
Thank you John! Glad the video was helpful!

Hey Erik! That's awesome, hard maple is great choice of wood! I bet it looks great! Thanks for watching mate and enjoy using the workbench!
Mate that is a lovely bench 👍🏻
Thank you Dave!
Great video
I’m just about to buy a 1450 and accessories for making guitars on so I will use your link
Hey Phil, Thrilled you liked the video and thank you for using the link! I really appreciate that!
Do you still have and use your logosol sawmill?
Nice
how to spot an Englishman - if any inanimate object makes a fart sound, they will immediately respond with "ohh pardon me"

Ahah yeah we've all done something like that Andrew! Glad you manage to make your own in the end!
I guess it should say IKEA instead of Sjöbergs. Too bad the little bench top uses the round tubes huh? It's still cool and I want one.
Awesome workbench you've got there Sean I bet it doesn't walk around around when your working on it. Those bench hold fasts are built like tanks. Tony
Thank you Tony! Yeah that's one of the best things about it, how heavy and robust it is! It doesn't wobble or move at all!

Please do not waste my precious time and attention telling me that you forgot what you ordered just open the bloody box.
I'm so sorry Marc, I really didn't mean/want to waste your time
