They all sound amazing. But remember who’s playing them - the true reason they sound awesome!

That was amazing and it really proves that a large percentage of the way a snare drum sounds is how it’s tuned and who’s playing it..

Brian is the only guy I know that can make every drum sound the same because of his attack

Please post a tuning video for the Ludwig Coliseum. I have never been able to get mine to have that same throaty, bright tone. Much appreciated!!

Red satin flame got the sound 👍

Brian you made all these drums sound great.
A couple of those DW's really surprised me with how great they sounded.
The Ludwig brass and supraphonic really stood out. I like the supra phonic more though. I own a Ludwig black beauty 6 and 1/2 super sensitive. I was hoping you would have one of those in the video.
Also the Tama rosewood has a warmer deeper tone and has a unique sound obviously.
    Yours is from around 1981.
I have a Tama Rosewood 6 1/2, but it is the 50th anniversary reissue that I got in October.
Have you played any of the rosewood reissues and is there any difference in the sound between those and your 1981?

They all sound great . Tunning is absolutely perfect. Honestly love the mighty supra to me my favorite. Regardless of which sounds the best I think your playing is what makes them all unique. Great playing Brian tou the best man love the way you play thank you

Great job, very cool collection that is pretty attainable for most drummers except for the Rosewood Tama aka AVH snare. That drum is sort of a "Holy Grail" . Very similar tone for most of the drums but listen closely there are some nuances that come through. Brian is a beast of a player so the sound is in his hands and not so much the drum. The same collection will sound completely different with anyone else playing it. (Thanks Capitan Obvious). The mahogany Leedy 7x14 and Bronze Supra are the ones for sure. Love to hear them with different head choice than Emp X!! Thanks Brian!

I listened to all 3 video from the same source.
In this video, the snares sound much more the same. I didn’t hear as much of a difference in their characteristics. They all sounded great and your tuning is very consistent at least in my opinion.
#1 in this video is Supra
#2 choice ( and is real close ) is the first red Leedy.
Thanks for doing this. Always great to hear several drum at once.

Indeed. A big chunk of the way a kit will sound is the room. The drums are the source for sure, but the sound is the source, room, playing, tuning, mics and position ( yes even a phone)

It's the player #1, so they all sounded great! I really like the 2 6.5 Ludwigs. The Rosewood Tama sounded also stood out to me

Very consistent and all sound much the same. Ludwig 6 1/2 wood & Ludwig 6 1/2 Supraphonic stands out a tiny bit for me. Great job man. Enjoyed this a lot :)

Nice! listened closely to all, then the superphonic showed up and it was so cracky and bright. I don't know , hard to say but I gota say based on the sound in that room and on this laptop, my vote is for the Ludwig

The slingerland is nice, the Ludwig epic is still my favorite for that Bonham groove and the supraphonic at the end is probably best all around rock.
DW sounded better in this context as well as the PDP's and I really like PDP drums for the money.
    Excellent content !

Damn awesome man! What snare(s) did you use on the Whitesnake album? Such a fat tone. It sounds like a Supraphonic. Also the snare on the Dead Dead Daisies albums? Thanks Brian!

Thank you. I can’t remember exactly for the WS LP… it may have been a Drum as I was endorsing them at the time …. The Daisies LP Make Some Noise is a 6.5x14 Supraphonic… and the Radiance LP is an old 60’s 5x14 wood Leedy (Slingerland owned era)
      🥁👍🏼

the red satin leady has a little brighter pop in this video.. sounds awesome. all the drums have a bit of the same "pop" to them which says more about YOUR sound in your hands and technique. you just have a great sound lol
