I actually loved choking being the finisher for heimdall he threatened kratos' son and him just choking heimdall to death as he calls him a monster with his final breath just seems so much more disturbing than ripping him limb from limb especially when he already does that to basically every enemy in the game
The point is: choking was a little underwhelming for someone as violent as Kratos. I, for instance, was expecting Kratos to pop up his eyes and explode his head with his bare hands.

With Thor being "weaker" in the second fight, keep in mind kratos cut him with the Leviathan axe in their first duel. The axe is infused with jormunganders venom which will have definitely deteriorated Thor's strength and power, given that in mythology at Ragnarok despite thor killing the serpent, its venom kills Thor after his victory.
Doesnt change anything. The fight was still not what everyone expected, like the whole finale. Its not about the "lore accurate fight", it,s that the developers just rushed everything after hall of the game.

Nah. Heimdall, Poseidon and thor wasn’t disappointed at all. I loved fighting all of them and i loved fighting odin even tho I thought it would be better
Thor definitely was disappointing. In the beginning we destroyed a statue, fought through midgard and created an iced thunder. I expected something bigger and more epic, it was just a normal fight

In your first fight with thor you are only fighting with the leviathan axe, starting armor and maybe one runic ability, but in your 2nd fight you have multiple weapons and runic abilitys and stronger armor, you have far more to use in the 2nd thor fight then you did in the first fight
The heimdal fight is more lore rich, and “cinematographic” as his power is being super fast and predicting your moves, since his powers make him have no need of a great strength, defensive and attacking, so whenever someone can counter his main power he is doomed, amazing fight tho
Heimdall was very disappointing in my opinion, he was portrayed to be this mighty God and right hand of Odin, an amazing ability to literally see through others. The one to call Gallahorn, ultimately Ragnarok. Through the entire game he was depicted to be a very intimidating foe to go up against, but yeah. could've been better. a lot better. berserker level at least.
Oh no!!! He said Poseidon, is he joking?!? Dawg are you high!!! The intro fight with Poseidon was damn flawless. Not everybody is going to be Valkyrie level hard big dawg.
Agree. Sigurn and GNA are the hardest bosses in the last 2 God of Wars. Valkkaries. Thor, I didn't die once and Odin, I only died once. These fights were to easy, but the king berserker and GNA are a real pain.
As for me, the most disappointing fight is the fight with Helios, My man is literally the god of the Sun, whose chariot in myths almost led to the apocalypse, and the only thing that Kratos did to defeat him was to cover his eyes and stomp a couple of times on the neck, after which he just ripped head
Poseidon's boss fight had the best intro out of all to this day. Heimdall boss fight is one of my favorites because Kratos is a change man, he's not going to brutally kill gods like he did with greek. Besides, not every death in God of War had to be violent and gore. The greek fights not have to be the same. U kill hermes with quick time events unlike spamming buttons.
If you’re just thinking about game mechanics and how the fight works, I can see why you say Heimdall is boring, but the whole fight fits exactly the storyline. Heimdall isn’t really a fighter, but rather a one trick pony a good trick, but one trick nonetheless and when Kratos figures it out, Heimdall has no defense against it. The choke at the end also fits the storyline of Kratos trying to be different than his past God killer status.

Thor was easier to take out because A) Weapon upgrades. Heard of them? B) Kratos was holding back in the first fight, only ending the fight when he used all his strength in one punch which broke Thor’s guard
I get what you mean. The bosses in Ragnarok would be way better if they amped up the difficulty, however, Odin was most certainly a challenge in terms of the in game story. Kratos almost died a few times and he had to be saved by Freya. Kratos then had to jump Odin 3v1 just to beat him.
I don't think Thor is "weaker' and "easier" to take out in the final fight, Kratos just remembers Thor's moves and how he fights and Thor in the final fight is like his strongest form But yea it's still kinda disappointing

Heimdall, poseidon's, thors, and odins fights were fine, I am surprised you didn't put Helios on here
Bro plays on easy mode if he thinks any of these bosses are “disappointing”
I get what you mean. The bosses in Ragnarok would be way better if they amped up the difficulty, however, Odin was most certainly a challenge in terms of the in game story. Kratos almost died a few times and he had to be saved by Freya. Kratos then had to jump Odin 3v1 just to beat him.
Killing Heimdall was the most satisfying thing I did playing that game
I think u forgot who your playing as
Well, I had difficulty fighting Gna than Odin. So yes, I can gree with you on the number one spot.
Kratos just stopped holding back as much as he did in 1 fight with thor
I don't think Thor is "weaker' and "easier" to take out in the final fight, Kratos just remembers Thor's moves and how he fights and Thor in the final fight is like his strongest form
But yea it's still kinda disappointing
