    This was very helpful. I have this unit and a 1.5KW water cooled motor for my CNC router. Somehow it seem to loose all setting when I moved it. This helped me set it back up. However, I am getting an error E.O.C.A.

      EOCA error means the unit is experiencing "over current during ramp up" You can review the variables to create this error here www.cnczone.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=120805&d=1291629472 Thank you,

    Love your videos, thanks for these, I have a question. I have a 110v HY VFD rated for 13A output and am setting it up now with a G-Penny 1.5Kw, 12A, 24,000rpm, air cooled spindle.
    When I go to set PD142 it will not let me go above 7, but my spindle is rated as 12. Any idea why it will not let me go above 7? When I try to increase the "tens place" from 0 to 1 it just takes the "ones place" back to 7 and leaves the "tens place" vlaue as 0. I do not have the spindle cable connected while I have been doing this, just power input connected.

      Hey John,
      Thank you for your support. I recommend contacting your vendor first as they should be supporting the components they sell. If you would like to move forward with a paid consultation, I offer them as well. Please let me know if you would like to schedule one. Please understand as a vendor myself of CNC hardware as you purchased that I include support for all my client's purchase's which makes me cost more than overseas vendors on just the hardware price, but when factoring in I can, and do provide support which makes the investment justified to those requiring help in setting their hardware up. Thank you and have a great weekend!

    Great video, thank you! I'm wondering if it will have to be reprogramed if power is lost...also, I'm using it in a barn to run a fan in summertime, it will be off all winter. Will the unit be damaged when sitting through winter in cold ambient? Thanks again.

    • @corvetteguy50
      @corvetteguy50  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your support.
      This depends on what you mean by "power is lost" If you're discussing a power outage from a storm the unit's settings should be reverified in best practice. If the unit is shutdown properly then the settings won't be lost.
      There's no way to answer your question about the fan as I have no idea what temperature your barn is in. In best practice all production robots should be operated in a climate controlled environment for longevity, and stability. Thank you,
      Vince

    Do you have any wiring configuration videos for 0-10v pwm signal with a pwm to analog control module from a grbl based board for one of these Chinese spindles?

    • @corvetteguy50
      @corvetteguy50  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your support.
      GRBL, and Arduino type boards aren't to be used with CNC routers as they are USB, and universal serial bus is unstable for these types of production robotics. I cover this many times in my CNC fail video series. Here's my latest CNC fail video showing what typically happens when using USB ruclips.net/video/U6TOK-s0hNw/видео.html
      This video like many others in my fail video series covers an email direct from the largest manufacturer of USB motion controllers CNCdrive out of Hungary. Their lead engineer Balazs covers what issues USB has with grounding, and stability.
      I highly recommend you proceed with caution with what you see on social media using these types of boards as many content creators simply have no idea what they're doing, and only mimic what others have done in videos.

    What if the spindle is not 400hz? Do you input 300 in loo of 400? As well as the rpm. My spindle is 18k, not 24k. How does the number in pd144 correlate to rpm speed?

    • @corvetteguy50
      @corvetteguy50  2 месяца назад +1

      You would input whatever frequency the spindle is rated to located on the units body.
      You would input 300Hz only if its what's identified on the spindle's body.
      The calculation for VFD Hz to RPM is RPM= (Frequency * 120) / # of poles in your spindle

      that it has an input of either single or 3 phase. I have 3 phase, wired it according to instructions to a 24,000 RPM
      water cooled motor. The inverter powered up ok, set parameters. When I pressed the start button the inverter blew up.

      Once again you need to reach out to the vendor that sold you the unit, and explain what you just did to me.
      When you explain you "set parameters" VFD parameters when set incorrectly will damage the VFD/spindle its running, and considering you said it powered on alright then you now know what blew the VFD.

    *Buyers beware!! I just bought one of these VFD and I believe its a knockoff of the Haunyang brand shown in this video. It looks identical from the outside but the wiring is different and its not allowing me to change any of the parameters in the program. For example, it doesn't have a PD141, 142, 143, 070 or many others. I bought it on Amazon as a package kit with 2.2kw spindle and pump. After closer examination when I received I couldn't find a brand or label on it anywhere. And it didn't come with any literature or manual.
