At least to me, the scariest part about this "Mr. Puzzles" guy is our lack of information on him. We have a name, a design, and a voice. That's it. We don't know who or what he is, where he's from, what he's capable of, or what he wants and why. We know next to nothing about him and it's terrifying.

But we do know that he's been around since for years considering what he did to Wren.
Well we can obviously see that he wants to make his like own entertainment type thing using the SMG4 group but why he wants to do it and why only now he’s taking matter into his own hands is anyone’s guess and who knows maybe him showing up now has something to do with Clench only now just taking control of Tari’s arm
Exactly. The fact that we know nothing about him makes him that much more terrifying. Even if some of them were scary, at least the previous arc villains like Zero, Lawyer Kong, or Francis had some sort of context as to their motives, abilities, and backstories. Mr. Puzzles? We don't know anything about him at all. No backstory, no motive, no capabilities, nothing. He's just... there.
In his first appearance, he shows with no context as to where he came from or even how long he's been around. It's like he popped out of thin air, but that doesn't make sense. Things don't pop out of thin air. Everything has to come from somewhere? So, where did Mr. Puzzles come from? Are there more like him out there? He genuinely feels like less an arc villain and more like that of a terrifying boogeyman of unknown origins or motives.
I honestly kinda want it to be where even the crew don't learn much about Mr. Puzzles just as a way to keep his fear factor. Sometimes not giving your villain a clear motive or origin makes them more terrifying than if you revealed those two factors.
I think what also makes Mr. Puzzles scary is that he's also a complete outside context problem. Clearly the crew were never prepared or aware of Mr. Puzzles at all best shown in IGTBP. He's a complete deconstruction of an arc villain because the crew clearly were unprepared for this.
Even his design is this too because it just looks rather... off. It stands out a lot from the other SMG4 characters that his design is uncanny valley. The other SMG4 characters have more complex colorful and anime inspired looks. Mr. Puzzles doesn't have these qualities. His body has a much more simplistic yet freakishly tall build, his movements are far more deranged, his color scheme is much more minimalistic, and he has a smoother almost cel shaded texture to his model. It honestly makes Mr. Puzzles look more like a character taken from a 90s to mid 2000s western animation (i.e. Ren and Stimpy, Grim Billy and Mandy, Invader Zim, Cow and Chicken, Powerpuff Girls, etc). It gives the sense that he is someone who doesn't naturally belong in SMG4's world.
Yep. No backstory, no motive, no clear capabilities. Nothing. He just... exists. At least the previous arc villains had some sort of context as to their identities, backstories, or capabilities. Mr. Puzzles? He's a complete enigma. We don't know how powerful he is or what his motives are. It makes him feel more like a terrifying boogeyman than a cliche arc villain. Speaking of which, it's clear he's a deconstruction of the whole arc villain because the crew were obviously unprepared and unaware of Mr Puzzles. In IGTBP, Mr Puzzles shows up with absolutely no context or foreshadowing of his involvement. It gives the implication out of thin air.
Not to mention the scene where he says to the viewers "We should really do this again sometime". Let me put this in context as to how it relates to the glitchy crew. It gives off the same feeling as a predator choosing to toy with its prey. Mr Puzzles could have killed the crew in all 3 previous events, but he didn't because he possibly wants to make their last few moments filled with terror. Unlike the other villains, he's not in any rush. He knows he'll catch the crew because he's an intelligent villain
The Mr. Puzzles jingle was first heard briefly in the It's Gotta Be Perfect movie right when SMG4 finished his "perfect" video before he and 3 jumped out of the sinking castle
It was also played when he was introduced at the end of WOTFI 2023.

I think I know what the lore is. To put it short, mr puzzles used to be on all of these films, until he messed up 5 times, and he was kicked out of the company. Years later, mr puzzles saw SMG4'S channel and saw how it influenced people. So Mr puzzles tried to take over SMG4'S channel, and now he has succeeded
I got this conclusion from the fire and the PBS KIDS blues clues copycat

@Viger the "Dumbass Song" is of course a parody of the song Blues Clues from the first season until it stopped, the spaghetti meatball and mario's mystery are a parody of blues clues and Blue her Clue from her paws(pootafdruk), the sectiom with Luigi the Meathammer is a parody of the kitchen scene with Mr Salt(meneer zout ) and Mrs Pepper(Mevrouw Peper and their children), the mobile resembles the blocknote, the intro where SMG4 says Hey There it's me smg4 come on in lads it's a paraody of the intro from where steve says hi guys it's me steve and this is my dog blue. Come on in

It seems like all of the arcs or videos that involves puzzlevision shares the fact that they interact with the viewers.
WOTFI 2023 had the people vote on what SMG4 and SMG3 do.
Western Spaghetti’s build up was a Gmod file and a stream that people could access and either play through or watch.
It’s gotta be perfect’s build up was people watching SMG4 fall into insanity through a livestream.
And now, we have a website that is listing the next episodes for SMG4 that we can access, again, involving viewers. Is it because Puzzlevision is not just manipulating the SMG4 gang but even the viewers? Us?
I have a feeling that the ratings of the videos will affect the ending but I’m not sure

I feel like tari is going to play a big role
I think how we rate the episodes will influence the arc much like wotfi. I think puzzlevision is obsessed with ratings and if they go down he might lose control. also on the smg4 community page they made a post with the link where they were specific to ask for a (good) (3 stars) rating. i found it odd that they would ask for a certain rating on a review page and that is how i came to this theory. Next week they will probably ask for a 5 star rating and then less stars every following week. Puzzlevision will see the dropping reviews and try harder to get them back up and lose control of 1 or a few characters along the way.
@Viger and that TV Time theme wich the choir announces before tv head comes in is a parody of that from Mail Time(De Post) where Steve,Joe and Josh sang about the mail and mailbus came in and got a letter or now a e-mail and they sing they got that and the tv section a parody of a friend showing something and the toilet scene resembles these randim scenes sometimes in the backyard and Blueskidoo where SMG4 and Mario jump into the painting is of course where they solve something and of course the recap of all clues and closinh song

My predictions for the rest of the episodes: 2nd episode I think we'll have Meggy play main lead (the tv genre the episode will be centered I predict will be sports given her love for it) , 3rd will be about SMG3 (genre I predict will be comedy) 4th will be about Tari (the genre I predict will be sci fi) and 5th will be about Bob (my genre prediction for him will be a musical due to his love for rapping ) and Mario will be major secondary character in all of them like how he was with this episode. For the big movie and climax of this saga I think we'll be game show themed and the title will be Meme Games 2.

Just saw the new episode and it does look like everyone is being mind controlled by Mr Puzzles and when I went to the Puzzlevision website to rate it, Mr Puzzles picture now looks annoyed

That moment where he said he wished for himself and everyone else to leave Mr Puzzles world gave me chills and it confirms the characters are brainwashed. Also Puzzles doesn't look too happy with the video's ratings something tells me he will get more desperate heck the recent community post has him outright demand for higher ratings.
@@claytontessmer3566 Fax. That part scared me a lot because it confirms that Mr Puzzles has indeed trapped them in a simulation. Even with previous arc villains, I never felt this sense that they could genuinely hurt me. With Mr puzzles though, every time he appears, it's like this complex feeling of being entering this nightmarish dream I can't wake up from.
The next episode will most likely be a comedy one that serves as a parody of Spongebob (with Tari as Spongebob), Friends, Fairly Oddparents (they might even make a meta joke of how it's basically Channel Chasers as a horror movie), Looney Tunes, etc.
The fourth episode will most likely be an action parody that will obviously homage an action cartoon. Which action cartoon it might be is unknown, but I'll list off ones they could parody. Action cartoons they might parody might be Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (With Bob as each of the turtles since he's a ninja), My Life As a Teenage Robot (With Melony as XJ9), El Tigre The Adventures of Manny Rivera (With Meggy as the titular character Manny Rivera), Samurai Jack (With Swagmaster as Jack), Dragonball Z, Pokemon, Ben 10, etc.
The last episode will be an horror homage likely serving as a shoutout to Digital Circus (as a cross company reference) or Murder Drones. If not, then they could do a Courage the Cowardly Dog parody or even do callbacks to the Genesis Arc.
This is fridge brilliance as a reference to how lots of channels will start off showing the more kid friendly stuff before going into the more adult stuff as the afternoon time comes.
@@claytontessmer3566 I am seeing theories that Mario is perhaps aware of the crew being trapped in a simulation. I mean, notice how he asks SMG3 how he will spend his money if they're stuck there, perhaps referring to not just them, but everyone associated with the crew.
Meanwhile, I am still on the belief that Mr Puzzles is in some way associated with the God Box
