This is y I say the armma 6s rigs are truly one the best rcs to buy. I've hit a horseshoe pin in a guy's yard I didn't know was there wide open at prolly 50mph with my old kraton v3 6s stock rig, and drove away with a broken front bumper and a few cracks in the body. I couldn't beleave it wasn't a total loss. This is y I own more ARRMAS then any other brand.... love this video!!!
Thank you for the visual of the enormous impact of a 12lb rig at 80mph (about 435 lbs if my math is correct). The forced unleashed easily moved hundreds of pounds of concrete, not to mention what it can do to a human leg. Through a perfect storm of conditions and an overconfident driver, I managed to tag myself with a Sledge at 40mph. It swept me completely off my feet as well as removing a boat-load of flesh. I will wear a pair of 4" scars until the day I die. RC cars are a fantastic hobby (or business) to be in but requires the same level of respect as any other hobby that could injure you if being careless/cocky. Love the channel and appreciate the slow motion sacrifices made in this video.
The math is a little more complicated than “velocity times speed divided by 2,” and it comes out to more like ~5000 Lbs of force. Assuming the car is 12 lbs and it decelerated from 80 mph to 0 mph in 1 ft: mass = 12 pounds = 5.44 kilograms delta velocity = final velocity - initial velocity = 0 - 80 mph = -35.76 m/s delta time = distance / velocity = 12 inches / 35.76 m/s = 0.3048 meters / 35.76 m/s = 0.00853 seconds Force = (5.44 kg * -35.76 m/s) / 0.00853 s |Force| = 22,788.4 newtons, which is equal to 5122.9 pounds force.
@@TranceFur Wow! Thanks for the correction. Clearly, math was never my strong suit in school...but I can tell you when my Sledge hit my leg, it was the most violent impact I've ever sustained. Whatever the force was, it was more than enough to ruin my day and entailed 5 months of total healing time. I'm far more careful now and cringe when I see others drive fast around little kids and pets. Thanks again for the correction and updated numbers.
Wow Raz...wow WOW!!! I can't believe the momentum from that impact. It's literally like a Bruce Lee kick the way it travels through those bricks. It makes me wonder how badly not if, someone's leg would break on impact. I want to say "hey, that's wasteful, I only dream of having a car like that. But I can't 😂😅 it was killer and you were able to salvage alot more than I thought would be possible. I'm glad to see how much more you've cut loose on your channel over the past year. You used to be so serious and take shots at Kev for stuff. But you seem to be having alot more fun and that's what the hobby is about.🎉😅🎉😢
Ouch! I remember Traxxas doing a video like this (into a car door) on the release of the X-01. Just to show potenial buyers how much damage to the car and other objects can be done at that kind of speed. There was still the odd case of people getting broken legs etc from being struck by them.
I want to see more crazy experiments! Bike tires on rc Sawblades Homemade battlebots (i used to do this lol) Drill bits Wood tires Metal tires Alluminum soup can tires (drifters) Ducktape tires (works great) Can you build a bumper that can take 80 mph hit? Out of ducktape? Leeeetttssss gggggooooooo!!!!!!!
Can you say Mythbusters!!!!! Glad you did and not me. I hit a curb head on at 50 or so in my arrma vortecs. It's not pretty. Thinking about giving up the bashing and sticking with crawlers. Happy trails all
A really good demonstration of just how strong the plastic parts on these buggies are. It's very easy to look at a piece of broken plastic and think it was rubbish because it broke but the same force would have even mashed a steel component. You should run a similar test exercise with the car tethered with some strong fishing line and see the damage as a comparison. I bet it will still loose things like front diff center out of the chassis. You could set the cameras at the end of the line to capture the destruction.
Again an amazing video :-) I assume it would look different if the wall did not disperse as much impact energy as this construction did! Maybe you find another victim and crash it against a real wall with more mass and rigidity?
That should be covered under the manufacture warranty! 😂 I can’t remember how many times customers have told me a RC is garbage because it can’t stay in one piece after hitting a hard object at super high speeds! 😂
That was cool to see the slow motion video! Crazy!!!! But still cool!! I can't believe how much actually survived the 50 mph crash. I'm wondering what (if anything) survived the 80 mph crash?
wow this is crazy I wish you put the body on also. I am speechless , Even those heavy concrete blocks moved away. this shows that RC cars are not a jock as I normally see passers by taking no care, not knowing the danger besides that it can shatter your legs in an event of accident so seriously crippling you for life.
Wow!!!! This was awesome!! I'm not much into cars but....WOW!! I was hoping to see a "square" crash, head on, but that's unpredictable. This one will be hard to forget. AirHammer out!!
You’ve done it again caught my attention… 👍👍👍 quite crafty for 2 hour rebuild .. at least nice to see that’s it’s possible… but for the record a solid brick wall is a better choice…
have to admit Raz thought it was going to be a distruction video aka Kevin but when you opened it with the crash test clips it was quit entertaining you did it with style
Amazing footage of destruction and the rebuild. It goes to show you just what these RC cars can do. Imagine if that got out of control and hit a foot...MMmmmm Ochhhhhhhhh...Bravo
please test traxxas maxx 1/10 v2. it supposed to be one of the most durable RCs ever. simply because it comes with the a durable modular tub chassis like the X maxx but in a smaller formfactor. and it the drivetrain is almost identical to the x maxx.
I’m 56years old 😱 and still love stuff like this but I’m glad it’s you doing it as I could never afford to buy and wreck rc cars in that way Lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂 love it great video as always
What surprised me the most on the second full face plant ...... Was the massive flex on the rear wheels going forward.... Unreal slowmo...you know the front was going to get mangled... But watch the rear on impact. Wow
Will a infraction chassis fit on fire team reason y i will like to make an 8s fireteam but dont want to stack two 4s 8000 mh batteries in one side i like how the infraction limitless chassis can put a battery on each side for weight distribution
I am so happy that you are doing this. Because I would be crying if that was my buggy / truck🤬🙈!!! But in the name of science, it made some good entertainment. I see our little buddy Kevin Talbot is asking for 200. Give that boy what he wants. Lol.
Hey rav, maybe you could use one of those super slow-motion cameras, say 10'000 frames per second, and record the crash n see what it looks like? Awesome vid Rav! Thanks!
I can't believe you did that! You know how many people there are in the world without rc cars and to just burn up that lipo ! So bad bad for the environment! Hahaha just joking! That was so flipping awesome to watch, thank you Raz, the slow mo was amazing
You really need to edit in Kevin saying boom every time it hits the walls 😂 This really shows why you don't want to hit anyone or yourself while speed running. Look at how much weight those impacts moved!
Everything You Need Is Here..
www.perfectpassrc.com/
200 mph next!!
You got that right!😅😂
Cmon kev.
😂😂😂
May need a bigger wall🤔😂
😂
Now you did 80 mph in to a wall, you know what that means?
You gotta do a speedrun in to a concrete wall Raz, you gotta do it!😁
Hahahha my dear do you really know what that means???
For the love of god… 200mph into wall please
@@torpedoLaw there would be nothing left of it!
I agree
Yes that would be cool 😎
Amazing that those batteries still managed too stay in place in the seatbelt crashing at 80mph. Wow Arma makes some amazing machines.
My Arrma is currently cowering in the cupboard 😂
@@daniel-is6zf lol. I definitely would never recommend this for any RC car hahaha. Thank God we got Raz too run these Incredible tests.

*YES!* You know the footage is good when you hit the camera. 🤣🤣🤣👍
With all of the recent events... it should have been a Traxxas. Lol. Cool vid.
Big fan of classic violin here! Great to hear some Eine Kleine Nachtmusik on here! It really complemented the utter destruction.

Raz & The slowmo guys with a 200mph wall smash!
You sir, have set a new bar! Bloody amazing! 🎉
I thought we already knew what happens when a losi 5th scale dual motor hits concrete.
That crash hurt me and it wasn't even my car
Raz, together with the music it was epic. Great video. Stay safe and healthy. Enjoy your holidays.
Rebuild it and hit someone’s ankle doing 80 😂 the results would be devastating! Maybe one of those jello artificial body parts?
That chassis brace did amazing didn’t even budge
