Y’all know Aaron Rodgers and coach Belichick would NOT get along. Belichick regularly berates Brady in meetings and Brady takes massive pay cuts. Rodgers would not be able to handle either of those things.

@Barry Allen he didn't say he had to play better which is what a true leader would say. I have seen Tom Brady after losses say he was bad along with other real QBS like Drew Brees and peyton manning take owner ship for losing. Not to mention he was asked whose decision it was to kick a field goal and he blamed Matt Lafleur by saying that he wasn't aware in that situation that they were 4th down territory close to the two minute warning and he had the ball at the 8. That's bad situational Football.

Most importantly, no other QB could win SB’s with the players TB has done it with. Rogers is a self-absorbed jerk, but he is talented. I don’t think he would do much better than he has done with any coach on any team.

The Patriots don't run a West Coast Offense--the team runs a Hydra offense, (named Modified Erhardt-Perkins offense). Aaron Rodgers has always run a West Coast offense. Green Bay has a thin playbook to boot. The Patriots offense is Hydra offense because it presents many problems or obstacles that when solved by defenses new difficulties, problems or obstacles arise. The Modified Erhardt-Perkins offense is based on multiple formation and personnel grouping variations called before the plays. In Super Bowl LIII the Patriots put in 22 personnel [ a run heavy personnel package with two running backs, two tight ends and a slot receiver] but by the time the team broke the huddle the players were in a five receiver set. [This isn't new--Patriots did this in Super Bowl XXXVI.] Under this system, each formation and each play are separately numbered. Additional word descriptions further modify each play. People would tell you that Aaron Rodgers would succeed in this sort of offense. I would tell you that we would see the same Aaron Rodgers, changing the play at the line of scrimmage, and the same thin playbook.

@@VonAllenSports Patriots have no problem putting plays into game plan on the day of the game, hey they will put plays into the game plan during the game itself--ie. those five receiver set plays from 22 personnel I referenced in my previous post. Those plays were in the playbook but had not been practiced in the run up to the Super Bowl. Didn't matter--Tom Brady went out and ran the plays. #1 play--catch by Edelman. 2nd play--catch by Burkhead. #3 play--catch by Gronkowski. And then Sony Michel runs it in for the TD. That's how good Tom Brady is.

@William Lee The West Coast offense uses short passing routes as a form of a running game and will put running backs and slot receivers into short pass route patterns, including pick plays to get receivers open. The dink and dunk is very much the West Coast offense. The 2 step, 3 step and 5 step drop were all designed by the great Bill Walsh. The receiver will be in a designated spot, once the QB has completed either of those steps.
What people don't seem to understand is that the West Coast offense is designed to draw in the linebackers closer to the line of scrimmage, and to bring the safeties out of deep coverage. It is then that the team will start using stop and go routes to confuse the defense, as well as audible route changes that will allow the receiver to make what appear as another short pass pattern into a long pass pattern that leaves the secondary exposed.
      Here's a snippet of Bill Walsh's West (Mid-West) Coast offense. ruclips.net/video/X6mFQvZxX88/видео.html

You think if Rodgers won 6 Superbowls that he 1st would want to be the highest paid player ever. 2nd he would think he is the only reason they won all those SBs. 3rd rumors say he is a horrible presence in the locker room and with 6 titles he might be even worse. 4th Rodgers ego wouldn't fit in Gillette Stadium.
Finally, just because you have a great arm doesnt mean you will make the right plays over and over again in playoffs and SBs. We got accustomed to Brady winning 90% of playoff and SB when the game.is on the line. That you either have or dont. Rodgers claim to fame is his hail mary completions. Those are more luck than skill and lastly do you think Rodgers hunger to win especially after 6 titles, would still be as strong as Bradys is now??? Brady still isnt satisfied...

    • @atomicstorm7006
      @atomicstorm7006 5 лет назад

Tony Simma although I agree with everything else, the way he throws his Hail Marys so high is what makes them work. The wide receivers know how it’s going to fly, whereas the defenders aren’t used to so much height on the ball.

Fun fact: 8 of Brady's 10 playoff losses gave been by a touchdown or less and/or to a team that goes onto win or atleast appear in the Superbowl. And his loss in 2009 was somewhat because Welker got injured before the playoffs (and part was cause Brady threw 3 picks). And the Jets that he lost to in 2010 just got finished beating Peyton Manning and the Colts and would go on to get just a play from the Superbowl (And the Jets also went to the Conference Championship the year prior).
So all the the haters that say that Brady could be 0-9, just say that he could also have 7-11 or so rings (and more of he wins again this year).

I think one key point is also that greatness is not a players absolute maximum potential, but what they actually become and in that regard a player should not be knocked for the coaching they receive. Brady is a better player now than he ever would have been had he not been under Belichick, but that does not mean that Brady would not still have been all time great without Bill nor does it mean that he isn't the GOAT. As a coach Bill helped make Tom a netter player, but Brady is still the one who performed on the field. Maybe, there's a chance Rodgers could have been greater than Brady, but he never reached that level. Is he more talented definitely, but if all we care about is who's more talented then why even play the games. For me personally, I quite frankly don't give a dam'n about who's more talented than who, I want to know what you've actually accomplished.

I just had a thought about this. Why don't we say what would have happened if Drew Brees switched places with Brady? I get the fact that Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady were seen as the two best Qbs at the time these discussions were made, but I'm surprised Drew Brees is never talked about when making the Hypothetical scenario of wether or not Bill Belichick would want Aaron Rodgers or another QB considering he was in that Conversation.

I think it’s super disrespectful that people say Rodgers is bad and he’s nowhere near Brady. The thing is Brady always had the luxuries of a great team to back him up. Rodgers had never had a great defense to back him up. Now that Rodgers is more mature putting him in that environment with a great defense would give him success. The thing that separates them is Brady is older than Rodgers. Brady has the maturity already. Now that Rodgers is getting older he will gain that same maturity. Ask any of Aaron’s teammates this season he had great chemistry with them.

But he did go 11-5 with Matt Cassel, even though they didn't make the playoffs. But i agree, Brady and Belichick are a unique union, that would never work with a different QB, regardless of the QBs talent and/or football IQ. And the Cassel season of 08 was primarily fueled by defense and running the football.

    • @stevenmanning2436

Stephen Allie winning regular season games literally guarantees nothing. Winning playoff games is unbelievably more difficult. Do you think the Patriots are winning a SB with Cassel, Brisette, Hoyer, Garrapolo, or anyone else...no. Brady’s understudies success is indicative of his leadership qualities, not proof his success should be marginalized. If a backup does terrible when the starter is out, the starter failed him.

Just to add on: Arron Rodgers has a losing recird in the playoffs. 6-5 on the road in the playoffs. 5-8 against winning teams (regular season) on the road. Brady is 23-20. Rodgers did two in 2011 divional round. And Brady loss cause of his defense. In SB 42 and 46, Brady had a clutch late drive that should have won the game. But his defense chocked. Belichick is 41-55 from 1992-2001 without Brady. And is 13-5 since 2001. Thats a .722 winning percentage While Brady has a .757 winning percentage. And Brady has better winning percentage and more wins against Ridgers "strong division" than Rodgers has against Brady's "weak division". And Brady played half of his career in a toucher era eithnless oassing that Risgers has been in. And take out the game against the Pats and the Dolphis, Jets & Bills are all .500 teams aka average, not disfuctional. Patriots just make them look disfuctional. Brady went 18-1 with 50 touchdowns. Then in 2008, Matt Cassel went 11-5 with about 20 touchdowns. 7 less wins and 30 less touchdowns. In 2016, Brady prepared his backups cause he knew he was suspended. And his backups went 3-1. That loss was a shutout to the Bills. Brady in the same season destroyed the Bills. One of those wins was a close game to the dolphins. Which Brady would later Blowout. And including the playoffs/Suberbowl, Brady went 14-1. Compared to 3-1 without Brady. 11 game drop off. Rodgers cant handel Belichick coaching, isnt as clutch as Brady, isnt as good of a team or leader as Brady, cant read defenses as well, doesn't have as high of a football IQ, iant as accurate, throws ball away more and is scared to throw a pick which causes him to lose a lot of games, is 8-13 on the Road agianst winning teama well Brady is 23-20, in 2001, 2010-2013, 2017, 2018 his average defense was ranked below 2th but he went to 4 Superbowls, was 6-1 in the divisional round and 4-2 in the confernce champioship. While Rodgers from 2011-2018 has an average defense of below 20th, went 0-2 in the confernce, championship, went 2-4 in the diviosnal round, had dieant have a ring. He won SB 51 without Gronk, put up 505 yards and 33 points with a 29th ranked and a Belichick that allowed the Eagles backup QB to put up 41. And Brady is 8-1 in the postseason 35-9 in the regular season, and 2-1 in the playoffs since 2015. And that SB loss was cause off his defense, not him. Rodgers is 1-1 in the posseason since 2015. Oh where they guy brings passer rating. But colan Capernick has a better passer rating than Montana. The that stat is irrelevant. But whether its irrelevant, here are 54 records Brady holds, according to the Patriots’ final press release from the 2018 NFL season:

      Postseason-only records:
Most postseason touchdown passes: 73 touchdowns
Most touchdown passes in a single postseason game: Six touchdowns (achieved on Jan. 14, 2012, against the Broncos)
Most postseason passing yards, all-time: 11,179 yards
Most postseason completions, all-time: 1,005 completions
Most postseason 300-yard passing games, all-time: 16 games
Most Super Bowl victories, all-time: 6 wins
Most Super Bowl MVP awards: Four MVP awards (Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, XLIX, LI)
Most playoff wins by a starting quarterback, all-time: 30 playoff wins
Most playoff starts by a quarterback, all-time: 40 starts
Brady is the all-time leader in Super Bowl passing yards (2,576), completions (256), pass attempts (392), and touchdowns (18).
Most Super Bowl starts by all NFL players, all-time: Nine starts
Most conference championships by a starting quarterback in Super Bowl era (since 1966): Nine AFC championships
Most conference championships by a quarterback-coach tandem: Brady and Bill Belichick have won all nine of Brady’s AFC championships together.

Most seasons with 35+ touchdown passes: Four (tied with four others)
Most touchdown passes in a single postseason game: Six touchdowns, tied with two others (achieved on Jan. 14, 2012, against the Broncos)
Rodgers: just two, passing rating amd Touchdown/Interception ratio. And he always throw the ball away, and has an inferior defense to Brady, forcing him to out up better stats. While if Brady was drafted to the Pack in 2004, sat behind Favre for three years, and was in a franchises who was top ten alltime winning percentage since 1970 and. Top 5 Since 1932. And Who never had consecutive lossing seasons since 1990/1991. Rather than coming to a franchise who went 13-21 in the two years prior to Brady being their, made the playoffs just 5 times between 1960-2000. And a coach who went 36-44 from 1991-2000. The ciaches that Arid inherited werent that bad. And the Pack had two head coached changes, but remained dominant, proving their ability to adapt and survive in free agency and salary cap. Then Rodgers had the 2nd rsnked defense in 2010 and one the SB. And has a losing record in the playoffs since while brady is 30-10. And Rodgers is 0-38 whe. Down by a one or more points against a team who at the time has a winning record. And Brady is more coachable more Clutch, a better leader and teammate, has better football IQ, has better everything but PR amd TD/I.

And Brady's single season best QB/Interception is 14/1 in 2016. Rodgers doesn't come close. And Brady holds the record for most 50+ yard touchdowns in a season with 43 in 2007.Just saying, Rodgers has never had a perfect passer rating in a game. brady has had two

Rodgers is a very good quarterback. He is NOT GREAT! and he's a toxic element in the locker room. The question should not be why Rodgers won only 1 superbowl in a quarterback friendly system, it should be how did he win 1 given the negatives that nobody likes to talk about.

Rogers will do good anywhere but in new England under bellichick it's about who is the most coachable and that is Brady. let's give credit to the puppet master not the puppet and that's bilichick.

But yer entire argument goes out the window because Belichick had a .277% winning percentage as head coach in New England before Brady took his first snap and was fired as a head coach in Cleveland with a horrendous coaching record - 36/44.. Pal before you comment learn something about football

And Brady won the AFC east while there what? 18 out of 20 seasons???
They didnt come into the league together either so there was no choice to be made.
    This is silly.

Y’all really be hating on Rodgers, to say he wouldn’t of had success with Belichick is dumb as fuck. So do y’all think Brady would’ve had the same success with McCarthy? If y’all want to say Brady is better than Rodgers, then cool but it’s a conversation to have. Who gonna try and make a case that McCarthy is better or even on the same level as Belichick?

VonAllen Sports you said Rodgers wouldn’t of been able to handle the coaching from Belichick, just bc of the rift he had with McCarthy. You’re a biased patriots fan
