Clutch Cable Lubrication
Always keep handy WD40 : amzn.to/2mqj3se

For such clutch/ throttle cable lubrication, you can use any thin oil, even fork oil. Don't buy costly oils, instead regularly clean the cable.

I personally want to thank you for showing that part at 23:24. As I was taking off my clutch lever, the copper pin and spring fell out, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out WHERE that spring came out of.
I'm glad that my video assisted you 😊👍✨
thank you, from USA!
thank you, hope it was helpful. on same topic of clutch cable lubrication, I have use another method too, and made another video to demonstrate : ruclips.net/video/YtqGkoQgt5c/видео.html . take care.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, especially the use of a syringe to clean & lubricate the clutch cable. (Wish I'd seen this before I bought a new cable from Kawasaki - LoL)
Glad you found this useful. Regular maintenance of control cables will last them very long, and avoid unnecessary breaking and expenses. Do explore my channel if any other video interests you. 👍🙌
Thank you friend! From USA!
thank you.
Thank you from Arizona...
Thanks a lot 👍. I do have another video - slightly different method for clutch cable lubrication ruclips.net/video/YtqGkoQgt5c/видео.html
Good stuff, thank you! I'm gonna do clutch lever replacement as soon as it is delivered and I will grease the cable at once.
thanks for watching my video,. do explore my channel if any other content interests you - including some videos about Versys. Indeed clutch cable and throttle cable cleaning & lubrication is very important. take care.
Nicely explained, i also have a silver accent and an ER6F
Thanks. Nice wheels you have 👍 do explore my channel if anything else interests you, take care. 👍🙌😊
Excellent Sir.. 👌
thanks bro, soon some more stuff will be worked upon :-)
Great video Pravnav.
Now do the throttle side.
I'll wait......🙄
thanks for appreciation and taking time to watch my video. I have also explained about a different method (kinda traditional style) for cable lubing - say the "oil well" method, and these days I find this more efficient : ruclips.net/video/YtqGkoQgt5c/видео.html . Hopefully I will do the throttle cable side in few weeks. thanks again.
@@PranavBhayani I did my cables on throttle side on my versys 1000, but it is impossible to see the termination point of the cables at throttle bodies, so I had to guess.
If you can get this stuff, it is designed for cable lubing, and it includes a needle applicator. Once it's empty, you could use bottle again by refilling with any lube.

ahh, good to hear you already did the throttle side. I will do my side lateron. Regarding that lube bottle with nozzle - seems difficult to source it here in India. Not commenting on the actual lube stuff, the applicator design can be replicated using a big syringe (get from pharma store) - the pressure will push the oil across the cable housing. In 650 I have noticed, the clutch cable has a slight "straight" area near the headlight (behind fork) area, which reduces the gravitational pull of oil - so I generally wriggle shake the cable to kinda push the oil down, until I see dripping at end side :-) :-) take care.
@@PranavBhayani I love your videos. Very complete.
Which brand 10mm socket are you using? I have z800 but the normal 10mm socket I have is not able to fit in space to open the nut.
I have the Taparia tool set : amzn.to/378ALnX and has been really useful, I even carry in bike/car trips. That nut below the clutch lever - I dont exactly remember but mostly its 10mm. The nut placement is bit tricky, you need the extender rod on the socket (provided in this tool set) to reach carefully in that small slot. FYR, I have made another video for this clutch cable lubrication method - ruclips.net/video/YtqGkoQgt5c/видео.html : you may have a look. thanks and take care.
Have you installed handle bar risers... If yes then which ones are those... Cheers....thanks in advance
Hello bhai. Yes I have installed handlebar risers - got from AliExp. Will send you link.
@@PranavBhayani thanks dada.. waiting for the link...so do we need to change the 4 bolts holding the bracket as well
Yes, longer bolts will be provided with the risers.

For ref, this is what I have installed.
Wish you would put a towel or something on the boot of that poor car, slamming your tools etc onto it is making cringe.
