Thank you for that comment. I'd have to agree - Jerseys are the most beautiful cows in the world. God bless Jersey cows. Ha!

Great stuff
I love your Cows!! Do you have a fav, if so wich? I really love your videos. You do such a good job making them.
Well, I'm sure everyone in the family has a favorite, and I'll let them comment if they would like. My favorite cow is Lois. You can see her eating apples in other videos. Another of my favorites is Maureen. Both cows are old, just like me...
Keith-
Thanks for the video, good luck with your operation. Love the IH haybine, great machines .
Yes that haybine has been a real workhorse for us. We purchased it well used for $1000 back in 2006 and it has been toiling on for us ever since.
Keith-
Great job
Thank you.
First!
Thank you
So glad you liked it.
I have been enjoying your guys videos . I love your farm . What state are you in ?
So glad you enjoy watching. We are located in south-central Wisconsin.
@@KeithFinkFamilyFarm I had to come back to here so I could comment on you sweetcorn .It looking really good , Sweetcorn is my favorite thing so grow . My sweetcorn is so far behind this year because of all the rain we have had . Most years i would be picking my first crop by now . If I beat the deer's to it lol .
We are in Wisconsin! Just west of Fort Atkinson.
Good video, nice music at 11:30.
Thank you!
@@KeithFinkFamilyFarm You're welcome.........Jersey cows almost always give the best milk. My grandparents always had a Jersey for milk, cream, and butter. I would churn the butter when we visited. My wrists and arms would be so sore because I wasn't used to it.
Wow! They turned your comment section back on.
Yeah, RUclips must have had a hiccup with this video. It's very nice to be able to hear from you all. Thank you.
The cattle look like milking cows Guernsey? I’m guessing Indiana?
Good eye! They are dairy cows! Jerseys, with just a few Ayrshires thrown in to frustrate the farmers. Just a bit north, and west, of Indiana. South-central Wisconsin.
The yellow is probably from leafhopper.
Noisy cows, they have bells and horns, lol.
Ha! I always say that the cow wears a bell because her horns don't work.
Keith-
is a 1st crop any better than a 2nd crop?
Usually first crop is a bit taller for one thing. I actually just got back from baling up in our woods hayfield, and first crop we got 52 round bales and a near full load of small squares. For second crop, we got only 18 bales from the whole field. Thanks for watching!
At what height/ maturity do you mow the Sudan grass? Its not really grown near me on a regular basis.
We will be cutting the sudan grass very soon. We would like it to be between 24 and 30 inches. We prefer it not to get taller than that if we are planning to round bale and wrap it. We will also green chop some of it.

@@KeithFinkFamilyFarm and 2 cuttings a year or just 1?
How many acres on your farm?
Our farm runs on about 120 acres. About half of it is tillable, and the other half is pasture for the cows and woods.
do you guys have your own bull or have one brought in?
George, no bulls here; we use all artificial insemination.
Keith-
Any reason why some cows have their horns removed and some not?
No main reason why. We like to get all of our calves dehorned at a younger age. The ones that have horns must've slipped through somehow!
do you do any 4-H STUFF?
It's being talked about, but right now we do not. We are quite busy.
