Is the Asics noticeably wider in the toebox compared to the Zegama? I like my toes to splay out. From what I've read the Trubuco has one of the wider toeboxes aside from brands like Topo and Altra. It would be interesting to see a comparison between this and the Max 3 if you ever get it as no one has done a comparison so far. Runrepeat says the V3 performs much better in colder temperatures, which is weird to me cause it looks like it's the same midsole. They went so far as to classify V2 as a summer shoe and V3 as a winter shoe. Reviews are saying this Asics grip is pretty much just as good as Vibram.
I'm not sure if it is wider (though I feel that the Asics is), and I've had no issues with the toebox in the Asics at all. I'm not sure (can't remember) where I landed in the video if there was a clear winner, but can say that I reach for the Asics first all the time now.
Zegama seems to have terrible grip in my opinion - particularly on wet rock. Nothing like my very grippy Saucony Xodus unfortunately, because I love everything else about them.
Great review, and nice to see I’m not the only one who cuts the tags 🤙🏽
Won my first 50 and 100 mile races in the Trabuco Max 2. It’s probably better than current carbon plated trail shoes for long races
Thanks for sharing, that's super cool to hear!! Boom 💥 💥

Thanks appreciate the answer@@theinconsequentialrunner
I find the Zegama wider in the toebox. It has a very rounded toebox, more so than the TM, though they are similar widths.
@@matthewmyers7826 Thanks!
