I remember my grandmother used vaseline as lipgloss, interesting video, I loved learning all the little tidbits about the history of the makeup!
Thank you for watching! Glad you enjoyed the history tidbits as well- I find it so interesting!
This is such a great video! The red lips and subtle eyes are so wearable today. I have continued to wear red lipstick (even when wearing a face mask) as it makes me feel good. Thanks so much and greetings from London! X
Thank you so much! Yes, it's such a classic and wearable look! I sometimes wear red lipstick under my face mask too. :) Thank you so much for watching!
I love the powder brush it reminds me of a mini coat brush 😂
Haha yep! It is lots of fun! Feels great too!
All the powder helped with oil control as well. I love those Glamour day videos and Besamé as well! You should check out their Tuesday Tutorials and Thursday videos where Gabriela is live.
I'll check it out- thank you!
Another great video. Can't wait for the glam look.
Thank you! The glam video will be up very soon! Hope you enjoy that too!
I am so glad to stumble onto your channel! Thank you so much.
I'm so glad you found our channel! I hope you enjoy all of the videos!
the 1940's make up and Hair was glamorous.
It was! My second 1940's makeup video really shows the glamour!
Looks very pretty! Natural, but a pop of glam with the red lip. I always enjoy the history behind the makeup, it seems to reflect the times. Very interesting about Hitler! I'm 61, but have oily skin, so prefer powder foundations.
It’s such a great classic look! I love the history behind the makeup too- it’s so fascinating! Thank you for watching! ❤️
Great video! Wonderful tutorial! I love your channel!🌟
Thank you so much! So glad you're enjoying the videos! :)
I haven't been able to find a German version or even translation of the "vanishing cream". Could somebody help me out, please?
Cream that vanishes into the skin. 😊
What is the name of this hairstyle? Do you have a tutorial for this?
Trudy’s hairstyle? She really just created it herself and there’s no name for it as afar as I know. There’s been a lot of requests for a tutorial though, so maybe one in the future!
Great!
Thank you!
I'm glad the Classic, Coming Back/JES'USNAME
Could you naturally contour a bit ?
If you wanted to do a little natural contour that would be totally fine; I was just trying to stick to what the average woman would have been doing at the time.
Wonderful video! You ladies both look amazing! I'd love to see the setting pattern for Trudy's hairstyle, I just love it.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! I've had a lot of requests for how to do Trudy's hair! She did it herself and she told me she just sort of threw it together, so I'll have to figure out how she did it!
@@MyVintageLove It looks so much like Rita's hair from that film (well, from that specific scene, when they're taking her photographs and doing her makeup) that I assumed it was an homage to that? Not sure, but it looks lovely!
Do you have any top tips on face powder shades?
I don't really have any advice on face powder shades as I pretty much always use Translucent. I don't personally like to use anything too tinted. I always think just matching your skin is the best way to go when using a tinted powder.
