Wow your creations blow me away every time Mr. Royer. They arent just blades they're more like concentrations of effort put out into the universe. One day I have a feeling these ate going to be genuine treasures in a museum or something. (Also thank you for being a huge inspiration into my own smithing! You're truly one of my hero's! I'd kill to apprentice under you!)
The amount of work and detail that goes into places that most people will never really see, is what really gets me, incredible detail work like this and attention to the small stuff, is why kyle is a master smith.
I just realized the most important aspect of your work vs. other knife makers work as I was watching this video... Its your integrity! Attention to detail is one thing, I pay close attention to detail in my trade and what I do. Great knife makers pay close attention to detail, but you go much farther in your craft- you have integrity and honor! Nothing is finished until it is as perfect as humanly possible. That little speck of imperfection in the handle may never have been seen be the new owner but you made sure it was repaired. I would never in a million years caused harm to the knife but you repaired it. That is a man of Integrity and Honor. That puts you in a class above all others. Goodonya young lad Goodonya! I aim for your integrity and honor in my business and ministry. There are very few in your category.
Hey Kyle... I’ve been making knives on and off since I was 14... I’m 50 now. I’ve learnt more watching you than I have in the last 30 years. You’re a the knife maker’s, knife maker! I think this is evidenced with seeing your tools, techniques and styles being copied by more successful “youtubers”, I place that word in, inverted commas because some ‘knife makers’ and smiths are more about RUclips than they are about the smithing...I’m so pleased to see you making a real go of it mate, best of luck and keep up the fine work....

i just stumbled across your videos. my wife and i are blown away. i have no other words to describe it. this is phenomenal but that mosaic sword you made was built for kings.
Hey thanks rowdy and mrs rowdy. Glad you’re enjoying the vids. We have another spectacular sword build coming very soon. Be safe and be careful. Cheers. Dad
Thanks Kyle. Very honest craftsmanship. That small flaw in wood and its repair could've been edited but great learning moment for me. The end result is a peice of beauty that I wish I could hold in my hands and look at it to calm my mind. Thank you so much again...

Thank you so much! My brother Josh dose all the video work. My other brother Caleb just takes professional still pictures . :) . Josh and I are the only ones who do the RUclips thing. Oh, and my dad helps too! :)
The knife is nice looking over all. The blade is clean and not over polished. The handle is gorgeous with the buffed steel. I see a lot of master Smith’s shine every thing. It’s beautiful and all but what if you want to use it. Very well presented.
I love your work! It was so incredible satisfying watching it come together, like that first sip of fresh coffee in the morning and you just go ahhhhh!!!

You sir are a master..👍👍 I wish I had half of the tools you have. I use cheap Harbor Freight tools. My forge I found in the dump.(I guess the original owner moved on) It is made up of a 6" main pipe with a bent 3" pipe welded to it so a hair dryer will fit in the other end to force air up..On top It has a brake drum welded to the top of the six inch pipe and a old saw blade welded in the center..I take it outside and push in down into the ground. I use charcoal. I use cheap steel from Lowes or Home Depot for blades and guards and cabinet knobs for pommels. Oak dowels for handle scales or what ever I find or have laying around... Can't get much on a police disability so I work what I can afford or find... Keep up the good work. I enjoy your videos.
