Rare Species - The only Ringtail Possum in a European Zoo!

Hamerton Zoo in the UK are now exhibiting their eastern ring-tail possum in their Australian Outback exhibit. This is the only zoo in Europe that holds this marsupial. Be sure to check out the exhibit later in the day to try and catch a glimpse of this nocturnal animal - We got lucky at around 3:45pm.

I wonder why only one zoo keeps them here, since they're not actually that rare in the wild. Maybe they're difficult to obtain or keep? Or maybe they're just not as attractive to zoos and zoogoers as more 'iconic' species?
