This looks like utter chaos. Normally in NJ if they're going to use a front loader, pick up piles at each house individually. Less of a mess. No offense, the guy using the leaf blower wasn't even trying to help.
@@eastcoastrefuse not where I am in ny , this would never happen. 4or 5 men on this crew and it could be done faster and neater with a vacuum truck. 1 person operation no matter what the weather is . Time to update your equipment
@@johnstevener501 This is the fastest way. We have the largest vacs available with vids on our channel. When it gets real wet or frozen, loaders are 2-3x faster than vacs. Vacs turn wet leaves into mush which slowly clog the chutes and hoses like a thick mud. And we moved 15,000 cu. yds. last year with our vacs.
Where do all the leaves go after they're collected? The method of collection works to a degree I suppose. Time wise it's probably the quickest, until someone devises a sweeper that can pick them up, shred, and load them into a truck quickly and efficiently. I see an opportunity here......
In different countries there are some places like biomass power plants that steams or burn leaves or other organic materials to produce biomass energy.
This is just a waste of city funding there are so many different ways to pick up these leaves yes it’s cool but look at all the access leaves flying off when the loader goes to dump them and look at all the manpower just for one street

Well said
Well isnt this interesting! Neat process! Glad ya caught it!
Thanks
As much as i like this i still think a vacuum that grinds the leaves is better cuz ya can put more in a truck or how ever ya haul them
I feel like a vac would save you a bunch of time and money. That’s got to be one of the worst ways to pick of leaves.
They have vacs too

This is a typical NY thing

Here, they get taken to a special section of the landfill. There it is turned into compost and given back to the residents. Thanks for the comment
Yes a device with a ling tube perhaps that would load the debris. But what to call it?
That's cool 😎
Thanks
Kind of an un efficient way to pick up leaves. Leaf vac better
Takes to long to vac them using loaders is more efficient
Yea, the likes are extremely heavy here and the loaders make collecting them faster.
Tink claw would be recommended!
They use what they have
lol the mess you make is senseless…exactly like the city I live in 🙄. I end up with more leaves after they’re done
A Formula 5000 for green recycle
Yes
So you can destroy the road with the wheelloader............
that loader needs new tires

@@eastcoastrefuse vacuum truck is more efficient les leaf left behind not having go back over same spot this is a waste of time and $$$$
@@Thevacomaticvacuumcorner And it does not destroy the Road with a Vacuum.
