i don't understand how some people get upset about God in country music. I'm just your run of the mill cowboy from Oklahoma, and i gotta say this. God always has been and always will be a part of country music. country music comes from the farmers, ranchers and salt of the earth Americans, of which I'm proud to say I'm a part of. and these people are very God fearing people. I'm so glad that some of the more traditional country artists are keeping this stuff alive. keep up the good work Cody Johnson. i love what you're doing

I personally believe in God because I have seen first hand lost people with lost souls be transformed and saved by his unlimited love and grace. Also, he never lets baby's, children, and good people die for no reason... I suggest that you read up on the Holy Bible and get to know God before you denounce him and his disciples.

This song hits my heart. I thought I was a real cowboy by drinking fighting riding in rodoes working the ranch but all that ever got me was trouble there were days if I didn't know if I was going to live from the night before. The day i ask Jesus Christ into my life I knew I needed him because of his grace and mercy. I used to be one mean and angry cowboy but Jesus Christ never judged me just loved me. I will always hold his hand because I need to and want to.
I understand why people don't believe in Jesus Christ because I didn't at one time but once you feel him hold you, your heart and soul will change like mine did. This cowboy ride's for Jesus Christ my Lord and King

@@JamesR23 I was a regular user for 10 solid years all day n all night long. Hardly ever slept. I destroyed my family n my marriage all those years. I'm going on a year being clean come November 5 n I'm now involved in my 3 daughters lives n my 3 grandchildrens lives n me n my ex wife n I are getting along n hanging out again. Because God is so good n merciful is the reason I'm getting back what the devil stole from me. Thank you God

I am 74 and I want this played at my funeral also. I am telling all my children and husband. It brings me to tears every time I hear it. I have been going thru some dangerously high blood pressure episodes but refused to go to the ER again. I did what I could to help myself then I finally put myself in the Great Healers Hands to either bring me thru it or to take me home with Him. Praise God He woke me up but this song is perfect for what I have been going thru because it is SO TRUE! I CAN'T even Walk Wothout HIM Holding My Hand. ❤❤❤

Bad health they took my job and the doctor put me on the short list ! I heard this song and it's how I found God ! Ain't had a drank since that day and I am doing evironmental for BP just not on the pipeline but I am standing tall I can look people in the eyes again Thank you my friend ! It's true I can't walk without the Lord. Down on my knees praying gives me the strength to always stand through the tough times. I am 21 months clean and sober . The prayers of my mother did not go unheard because she was always on her knees praying for me. I thank the Lord for delivering me from the demons that plauged my mind.

This song has a whole new meaning for me. 2 years ago I lost both of my feet due to bone infections. I now use prostitics to walk but i know without GOD,i couldn't do it. I tell people i don't regret losing my feet because it brought me back to my knees and for that im truly grateful. I now have a new purpose in life telling people no matter what happens is life,GOD loves and cares for us.
God's grace is sufficient. Be encouraged and reach out to him and he'll reach back.
I may not be a country music fan, but I'm a Christian who loves the Lord Jesus. So I sang along and teared up as the message came through his voice to my spirit. God's blessings on all who listen and take hold of the message of hope.

When my world was falling apart with the worst news it was this song I listened to on repeat fighting for my life
It’s something I’ll never forget. Sitting in a cold hospital room, ridden with worry about my babies in the NICU while just trying to survive myself. Met with uncertainty about my own condition, I was told that if I didn't get transferred for plasma treatments, the condition could spread to my organs and shut them down. No one was there to hold my hand. No one but me. As soon as the doctors left, I fell apart at the thought of dying and not seeing my kids. But then I realized that if I were to die at that moment, I was surely going to burn in hell. Little did I know, God was molding me and preparing my heart to trust Him. I was a lost sinner who needed a savior. Weeks later my heart was ready and prepared to accept the truth and right in that hour Jesus saved me
As a former Country singer in a band , I see nothing wrong with this song. Not all country music is good but this is truly the feeling of my heart as a born again Christian for many years now.
These folks understand harmonies. They don’t overpower the melody. The blend of their voices is perfection. Truly beautiful to listen to.
It comes from their raising (the haters). They have never been taught about God's love and grace. So they just follow the crowd and judge what they don't know.

I heard this many times as a young boy/ man in church growing up. I played Cody Johnson's version for my mother when she was older while driving to the same church. Our pastor obliged to sing this song at my mother's funeral when she passed. I love the Lord and he loves us. Thank you God.
