    I've been watching your channel for a while although I wasn't subscribed I am now, cuz I like what I see. The best part of all of this is having your dad to work with you. I hope one day to make it out to your part of the country as I never been out that way I lived in Texas for 20 some odd years Building Homes but when I was very young a friend of mine moved out to Las Vegas Nevada with his mom and dad and I only saw him one time after that he he didn't care much for Las Vegas but he did love Arizona. Anyway my friend a nice new addition to your collection, so happy that you finally got the title on that International. Wishing you and your family a far better new year to come.

I think your 1946 IHC K series pickup body spans about six years. That drivers side door is definitely out there------somewhere. I really like these trucks. When they were new, they were the bee’s knees! This one would’ve evaporated here in Hawai’i. I hated the way rust destroyed two of my Dad’s cars; he labored and saved to buy them only to see them fall apart. You two are ahead of the rust game, I’d say. Rust is kinda neat to see in good, ol’ Arizona, though. Arizona rust doesn’t look like a fatal cancer. It makes a car or truck look like an experienced and grizzled veteran gunslinger of the American Southwest. The only part that gives me pause is the front glass. One thing I could never handle on my own cars was a busted windshield. Other than that…this truck is cherry and looks like it’s ready for more fun! Hau’oli Makahiki Hou and best wishes to you both for a very exciting and productive 2023! EDIT: Oh! BTW, I’ve started watching your series on that 1969 Chrysler! Dad liked his Mopars a lot! I saw Meadowlark Lemmon when he was a prison preacher over at Perryville, AZ. What a guy, and it was nice to see one of his old Lincolns at that field of cars you visited. I also liked that 1970 Polara there, too. Take care!

    I'm not sure what it is with the driver rear fan. But my dad's old 60 Bel Air had the same crinkle in the fin. We simply used a come along a tree a chain two bolts. We weld it and I hook on a flat piece of iron and bolts that in a couple places to the fain. Then 10 or 15 minutes worth of hammer and dolly work. Put some old Dupont greenish-blue failure on it. Decades later the car has been setting for decades in the woods after going through about 250,000 MI. No primer or anyting on that DuPont hard filler. It looks just as well as it did for my dad stopped wet sanding.

    Gotta love the venerable Chevy 327! I grew up with it, the 283, and of course the 350. I am still amazed at the amount of power, torque, and durability these small block Chevy engines provided for the time period. Combined with their simplistic design, and interchangeable parts they remain true automotive icons. Thanks guys for saving this one of a kind classic El Camino, along with my favorite sbc engine. Keep up the great work!

      A higher power must have loved 350 ci chevy engines because their numbers would reach too the moon and back.

  • @SierraThunder
    @SierraThunder Год назад

    For the wheels? Old style Chevy chrome reverse 15"x8" rims with "Baby Moon" hub caps. For the tires, my choice would be Douglas P235/75R-15 All Terrain, you can get them at Wal-Mart. a 235/75R is wide enough to look reasonably beefy without actually being fat. And their height provides you with both a comfortable ride, good handling in adverse weather conditions, and better thsn fair fuel mileage.
    They're reasonably priced & have a nice, long wear life. I've been using them pretty much exclusively for over 32 years on my 1972 Q-code Ranchero GT, which is NOT a show vehicle by ANY stretch, but Snidely has been my daily driver for as long as we've been in each other's lives.
