I’ve just started basing my decision around on who I sign from my academic solely based on if they have a face that looks good, a body type that isn’t ridiculous skinny or lanky that no pro baller would ever have. Even if they’re eating and potential is terrible I’d rather pour hours into getting them loan glitched and upgraded rather than sign players who don’t look aesthetically like footballers, I’ve found once I started doing this it’s impossible to go back to just signing anyone that comes into the academy, even if they’re potential is amazing

@terror My best youth signing looks like Voldomort after a bad road traffic accident. Knocks me sick putting him in the starting 11. Even worse having to see his face after scoring with him, makes me dissapointed I scored.
I love the youth academy feature in career mode. It helps when I am trying to rebuild a poor team in one of the lower divisions (such as EFL two) to have a few halfway decent and valuable players in my 2nd and 3rd seasons.
I literally can’t start a career mode because of the missing faces and the amount of ridiculous bugs they still haven’t fixed 3 months after the release of the game.
As expected it’s worse FIFA for years in terms of Career Mode Updates. But EA were never going to put much effort into their final FIFA, all focus is now on EASFC.

I wouldn’t recommend looking at value, as often youth players will generate in the wrong position for their attributes, meaning they will have a lower ovr and so a lower value, even tho they might gry a big boost if you change their position. So you could be missing out on a gem and I personally think it’s the most satisfying when you find a new position for a player as a coach
I'd add don't send your scouts out on the first of the month if they are on a long search (9 months) and their return month falls next season, I never get a scout report on the first day of the new season

He says to not send your scouts on a long scouting session (9 months) on the 1st of the Month because after 9 months, the football season ends?? and he doesn't receive a scout report on the 1st day of the Month. For example, you send your scout to scout Germany for 9 months on the date: 1/1/2023, after 9 long months, you don't receive a scout report?? Unsure if this is true. I am just translating what I understood.
83 to 89 not good enough? Use him as a cash-grab, by the time he gets to about 75ovr that's an easy 10million, and add a high sell-on incase he does hit that 86+. Could be an easy 20m+ down the line
I suggest setting scouts up in Denmark. this being because whenever I set up scouts there I always find kids (16-17) with above 90 potential and already at a good overall (eg 70)
I once had a goalkeeper in the youth academy who was 5 foot 9 and had the worst goalkeeping stats you will ever see (he had 7 diving) but another thing that made him stick out was the fact that he had 87 speed, so he should have just chosen another position.
I had a youth talent (rb) i developed for 2 seasons to 77 overall. When the Januari transfer window open i sold him to Cercle Brugge for 44 million. At the start of the season after (end Juli, yes 6 months later)i checked up how he was doing, and he evolved to a 87 overall at 20 years being worth 110 mil😖

A few players with real faces were removed. Joaquin, Fabregas and others. At least, they could have been used as managers. So I am not going update the squads this time. In 3 months we will get a new FIFA, and before that I better use previous squad.
Any tips for developing centre mids? Any time I end up with a cm with decent potential I always end up having to change their position bc of the way their stats have developed. Is there any particular development plan that's best for cm growth?
Usually you find cms with very good technical stats and terrible physicals, so i like to change position to cb and keep it like that until they are decent phisically, then if you loan them out/loan glitch when they are pretty all rounded they can become good all rounded cms

It’s a shame EA don’t make any improvements to the Youth Academy, I’d be happy with a few new nations and the ability to scout positions instead of player type.

I found a youth player with a 94 potential and a value of over €1 million, but after a few weeks, his potential dropped to 80. So, those players are not guaranteed even if they're rare.
Player’s potential don’t drop in the YA, the potential Range just narrows to what it should be. It’s a common mistake. I’ve made a couple of videos on the exact subject 👍🏻
Ideally a club lower rated than yours, that “should” mean he will play more. If no growth after a couple of months. Recall him in January and loan out to a different club.
Found a 5.5 millions worth right midfielder, from Argentina, named Crespo. He spent 1 day in my youth academy before being promoted, now after 3 seasons, he is at 89, and continues to grow

@@airidhsj302A You need to get a loan from a bad to mid team depending on what OVR ur player is, so he will be prioritized over other players in the same position. If you had a 68 rated GK from youth academy, he would need to be in a team in the League 2, but you will likely get offers from low leagues like Romanian League. If this is the case, make sure to sign him into a team like Botošani, thier GK keeper should be around 66 rated.
If i use player that from a Winger Scout,it is good to make them to full back? Because my playstyle is using modern wing back that can passing and overlap
Why January? Is there any particular month/year that they get an extra boost? If I have players I can play, is it better to play them or keep them in YA for a little while longer?
Personally, I promote the best ones in January and immediately loan them out. Chances are the YA players will request being promoted before the end of the season (outside of the Transfer Window) and without the ability to loan them out, if they don’t play their potential will downgrade.

If the player hasn’t grown within a couple of months, recall before the next Transfer Window (save first just in case the potential drops, reload if it does) then add him straight back to the loan list and try a different club.
hey i have a question, when i signed a player from the youth staff report to the youth academy, they have like 87 ovr potential, so i leave them in the youth academy until they turn 17 or when they reach 50 ovr, but as the time goes on, why does their potential decrease, some decrease to 70 ovr potential. pls help

Sometimes that means the maximum potential gets lower. Potential is set in stone from day one of the initial scout report, the range just narrows to reflect that.

Scouts Nationality don’t make any difference. From FIFA13 - 18 Scouts from FIFA’s top 9 countries were always the best and if you had an English scout for example, they would find good English players regularly. But since FIFA19 YA scouts are more randomly generated so always go on star ratings at get the best you can afford regardless of nationality.

The positions listed are just the most common returned for each player type. Other positions can be returned. Also (even more in FIFA23) the scout can also return a different player type than specified. For example we chose Winger, but the scout returns Any.
The youth players values are all messed up to i got one 3.3mill he's worth 2.80 mill showing good potential got one at 3.8mill worth 1.80mill the youth academy is messed up to mate dodgy like mad and one youth player is any good there all trash the whole lot

When I scout looking for Wingers, I used to find CF a CM a Lot. Its an interesting scout when you're looking for a 4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1

I like to start with a team in a 2nd Division and with a licensed Stadium.

Nothing wrong with changing position and then changing it back again.

How often do you get scout reports? How do you know when you're getting the scout report so I can save the game the day before?

That means they aren't getting enough game time, wait out your loan offers until a team comes where the average team rating is high 50s to low 60s

On FIFA 23 career mode my blue strip doesn't go blue and red on my career mode it when does it light up i got PS4 is this only for next gen only

It’s just as likely to increase on return, in exactly the same way as the Potential Loan Glitch works.

Save prior to recalling in same way you would use the Loan Glitch.
