Thanks so much for the great video!! just wanted to add my experience. got to the part where video says to dump out old toner and found that there was tonnes of toner spilling out! so i simply spooned toner back in, didn't bother using my new toner, reassembled cartridge resetting the toner empty 'flag' and WORKS LIKE A CHARM again!!
+TheBlackBeltPanda you can purchase the reset gear from tm-toner. I believe that one reset gear comes with the toner refill kit. The starter cartridge that comes with a new printer doesn't include the reset gear.
I just bought this with the reset /flag gear and new plug. Followed all the instructions and it keeps turning gear back and continues to say replace toner. Isn't the smaller gear next to it also supposed to be in a certain position so it doesn't keep setting it back? Your instructions are apparently incomplete since I am not the only one with this issue. ?????
These instructions are incomplete. In fact, BOTH gears need to be set to a certain position. My feeling is that this position is unique for each toner you buy and is indicated on the side of the cartridge (the two "clock" symbols that have arrows pointing to certain numbers). Maybe best to buy a printer without reset gears!
I have a problem and I' don't know why is this happening. I have an alternative tonner TN 2340 and I've tried refill it a couple of times. The thing is for some reason the center gear shaft, the next to the reset gear just stop spinning and get stuck, so the system doesn't work any more. I don't know why this is happening. The first time I did it I fucked it up, te gear shaft got stuck. The second time, no problem and all worked fine. Now, the third time I'm doing the procces the gear shaft is stucked again. I don't know what to do, please help.
On the HL L 2320 D PRINTER, the TN 660 and TN 630 cartridges have the gear You just lift it off. rotate it all around and reinsert. worked for me !!! EXCEPT you must use a genuine BROTHER toner. Easy to find on websites.
No .... it is simply a removable cap that you merely put back on. Small bladed screwdriver will easily pry it off .... I went through all of this, it worked and was well worth the time doing it ...!!!

Is it really necessary to refill from the gears side? My cartdrige has a refill spot in the opposite side.

My plug broke off, a piece is inside where the toner goes. What do I do?
All these videos claiming to be TN630 are NOT tn630
TN-630 and tn660 are the same cartridge , the only different is the reset gear
