Hi folks Great video as normal Interesting comment on the Q&A re comparison with the original Playbar I’d not thought about the dimensions affecting the soundstage Think I’ll be keeping my original Playbar but will consider the Beam as a stand alone (or maybe with Symfonisk tears) for my second TV 🙏
I have the LG 55UM7600, I read the manual it says support for AC3 and eAC3. Does supporting eAC3 mean that my tv support compressed Dolby atmos through ARC port to the beam gen 2? Will I be able to enjoy Dolby atmos audio on Netflix?
I occasionally have audio jittering with my sonos+Samsung 8k 65" TV.
Sonos system includes Playbar, Sub and Play 1's. It is my understanding that this is a common problem with a Sonos/Samsung TV setup.
Is there currently a fix for this issue?

I have an question, I have Tv with ARC port which support Dolby atmos via DD+, however its lossy atmos through streaming app, just wondering what the use of new TV with EARC port for streaming apps like netfilx ( all streaming apps supports lossy ), is it lossless only for blue ray disc?, however am not using Blu-ray player, so is it worth to upgrade new tv?
I just got the Sonos Gen 2 for my Sony A80J 77” once the sound bar turns on my tv speaker turn off. Is there a way to keep my tv speakers on with the sound bar at the same time..? Since my Sony tv is very loud.
Can it be used with my Asus monitor pb43...(I forgot the exactly model number)? But it only have 2 hdmi and I can't use the 2.1 hdmi on my rtx3900 because it only have 1 for connecting the monitor.
Any advice for using it with a windows PC? I get tons of audio glitches. Running through eArc with my vizio quantum P 65 (2021).

This compatible with Samsung qn94a? I heard the beam gen 2 didn’t have pass through so it may be an issue for this tv…
How long does this beam 2 last since they are powered on 24/7? Even in idle, they are still on. With not even an option to turn off, is there some trick to turn off? I personally do not like the idea of it being on all the time. Thanks

Great video as always! My TV supports Atmos (lossy) but only has ARC. Do you think it's a deal breaker that it doesn't have eARC, or does it not matter that much (at least for now, when streaming apps don't support lossless Atmos anyways)?
I'd be able to listen to Amazon Unlimited HD natively on the Sonos Arc even when the TV is off, right?
Unless you're playing true blue-ray Atmos content from a native source such as a blue-ray player, you're not going to use eARC
I was under the impression I could use a third party subwoofer with my beam 2 via a second generation connect amp. The amp has a woofer out yet it doesn’t work

How to connect this to a desktop PC?
I have a Pioneer Kuro KRP500a (3 of them actually) with no intention to upgrade the best TV ever made. It doesn't support eARC. However, if I were to buy any new amp that does, will I be able to get Dolby Atmos with the Beam 2?
BTW, I bought a HDFury Arcana and now get full ATMOS / Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. Also got a HDMI switch x5 from USA.
Can i use it without having to turn my tv on?
How do I know if my Sonos is connected to earc? On the app when I try to do TV set up it just says connected to arc or can’t find arc

Does the led light stay on all the time on the beam? Even when tv is turn off, the led light on the beam 2 stay on. It’s connected wireless with HDMI from tv arc.

No it is possible to turn this off in the Sonos app under room settings. Hope this helps.
Could you compare the new Beam against the Sonos One? I’m trying to decide which one to get for my living room. My main use case is playing music but I’d not mind getting the Beam to have nice audio for the TV if it delivers on the music department compared to the One
What do you think about a set up with the beam gen 2 and two symfonisks in the back?
Great set up! We're seeing that set up a lot now and if you would benefit from the rear speakers doubling up as lamps in addition to speakers, it's a win win!

How to connect apple tv 4k with sonos beam2 to have dolby atmos ?
you plug your Sonos Beam 2 to your ARC HDMI port on your TV, then your Apple TV to a standard HDMI port.
What roomsize is beam best for? Is it enough for a room of 30 m2?
Yeah absolutely! My room is 40m2 and it's more then enough to fill the room
Why does no one talk about the lip sync issues? I returned the Beam Gen 1 recently as I couldn't use it with Sky Q due to lip sync issues that couldn't be fixed. I would love to know if this is resolved.

Always the Beam to ARC HDMI, your Apple TV goes to a normal HDMI port :)

If you use the Arc as a standalone Atmos soundbar, I would definitly go the Beam + 2x One's SL route for Atmos surround. It's far more immersive Atmos surround experience then just the Arc alone! I tested it by myself.The Atmos speakers in the Arc are completely dependent on the room shape for a good Atmos experience. With the Arc, If the room is very wide (walls too far apart from eachother) and the ceiling too high, then the Atmos effect on the Arc is gone! The beam does not depend on room characteristics for a good Atmos sound.

Hi there, yes that shouldn't be any problem at all. Just make sure you're able to do the TruePlay tuning so it will be acoustically optimised for the space it's in. Hope that helps!

Hi guys amazing video, I have a Bean gen 1 and an LG C1, and I constantly having to unplug the bean and TV and do the TV set up again in the Sonos app, this is annoying, and this happened with my last TV as well, so did I got a bad beam unit, or is this a common problem?
Most likely a bad beam because mine is still fine

No, it does not support dolby atmos , it supports Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital Plus

I would like to know the process of replacing an old Beam with Gen 2 in an existing surround setup... Is it going to be easy?
Hi Nizar, should be very straightforward. It would be a case of unbonding all the speakers in the existing surround set up and setting it up as a new surround system. You can then remove the old Beam from the system. Hope that helps!

I presume you don’t get lossless Atmos via Dolby Digital+ on HDMI ARC.. ? That would be an interesting sound test Dolby Atmos on ARC Dolby Dogital+ versus HDMI EARC Dolby TrueHD
Hi there, there is a slightly noticeable difference between listening to Atmos through the DD+ codec from an HDMI-ARC compared with Atmos through HDMI-eARC as there is more compression involved with the DD+ codec. It's not a deal breaker and they come very close but it all depends on how far you'd like to take it. Hope that helps!

Sonos is pure BS. Overpriced speakers with poor sound. Sold my Sonos speakers one year ago and bought for the same price bookshelf speakers. More than happy!
