I've been hoping to see more Heineman play and he's not disappointed. He's almost always playing on the 3rd or 4th line and even though he's got potential to bring it as a top 6 forward, he's hitting all the time. He also applies pressure better than the guy he replaced Ylonen. He might only have 5 points this season, but he's often noticeable on the ice, which is more to say for some other players. I'm curious to see where he will end up in the near future. There won't be much space for him on the top 6 if Laine stays healthy after his return and Demidov is going to be a top 6 forward next season. I expect to see a Beck-Newhook-Roy 3rd line next season. Unless Heineman gets some talented wingers, his offensive talent goes to waist. Evans has been playing above average this season. Might not be a bad 4th line if Evens and Heineman play together. But where does that leave Anderson and Gallagher? I guess I'm thinking ahead way too far.. lol
The few minutes Hutson and Matheson were on the ice together were magic, they both got the speed and talent to back each other offensively and defensively, obviously vs a physical team they would have to play smarter and compensate. Id love to see em on PP1 together, unless Laine is healthy who ever is 4th forward isn’t more talented than either of them.
Nice to see a W. Agree with the fight decision. Pretty good scrap but Olivier landed a couple that looked to buckle X’s legs a bit. As With every game a ton of defensive lapses but Monty held them in there until the offence started clicking.
Great video buddy, I loved the Monahan toast callback. Miss him on the team, Dach is not transitioning to Monahan v2.0 like some thought he might… to say the least.
It was pretty close until Mtl's 3rd goal. They played well I think, except for Struble. Jeez somebody help that guy! Glad to see Monty having a few good games in a row.
Though I give the fight 60-40 against our friend Arber, I think he needed to get that out of his system. He played his best game yet, looking good out there and even got a well deserved assist. I haven't looked it up but seems he was +2 or 3 for the game. Also Matheson looking good in the las two games, deserves an award for "most improved player" as his former few games were just horrid.
Olivier is the best fighter in the league imo... He's technically so sound.. juat doesnt lose a fight and has a lot of power in those short straight overhands. Pretty surprised wifi stayed standing... Unless im mistaken the top guys in the league in no particular order are Olivier, DesLauries, Reaves, Gadkovic, MacDermid, MacIlrath .. the rest are either not regulars (ok to be 7th d or 13th f) like Rempe or are a touch lower in toughness.
Ahahahah I had missed that idiot rushing in to assault Condotta only to immediatly end up on his arse. Happy for Lucas to get that goal too, well deserved cherry on top of that piece of NHL cake for him.
Less than 30 S.O.G. allowed. That's more like it 26 to be exact . Of course that's not always a true indicator of how a game goes but it's a good sign when your goalie doesn't feel like he's on the receiving in a shooting gallery. This team might be one or two experienced players away from seeing the kids progress and continue to develop.
My take: - Very little emotion in this game 90% of the time. Lots of unfinished plays, opportunities wasted, etc. in short that's what happens when two teams with severe issues collide. - St-Louis managing to dig his grave deeper by punishing Slafkovsky in a very bad manner by not letting him play instead of simply putting him in the 4th line and telling him to let some steam off by hitting hard. Bro doesn't understand the players he coaches. - Awesome yet one of those odd-feeling "arranged" fights between Xhekaj and Olivier. The kind of fight that happens when your coach doesn't want you to fight so you need to talk it over with an adversary so you can keep your job... - Xhekaj's best game. Why? Because he loves to fight. It gets his blood pumping and the more physical and intense it gets, the better he gets. I hope St-Louis finally figured it out, geez! - St-Louis somehow didn't get that the Blue Jackets were pissed near the end of the game, so he lets his smaller players, Caufield, Newhook, etc. on the ice instead of his big guys. St-Louis doesn't get the physical aspect of the game. Not at all. - Defensive plays nobody ever talks about: Hutson and ( yes we will talk about him for once ) Dvorak did really good work on that front. - Goals scored by guys who needed goals to bolster their confidence. This could be a very good thing for the next few games. - Monty being solid throughout. That one puck he let in, I don't think anybody could've stopped it except with luck. - Weber made it short and sweet. Gotta appreciate that. He always was a man of few words lol. I think he himself feels like the honors came a bit too fast, especially with guys like Alexander Mogilny being ignored by the NHL for so long.
Goid to see the boys get a win. They needed it. Give a little confidence boost. And speaking of which...so now Marty has decided to crap on Slafkovsky? Moved to the second line was stupid enough but now playing on the 4th line? WTF? Not sure why Savard was out and our favorite plug Barron was playing but Marty does seem to have his favorite whipping boys. Monty was solid which is good to see though.
I’m so sick of the way they’re using Caufield and Hutson I can’t even watch it. Promote The underachieving lazy players, and punish the guys that work their butts off. Why work harder?
The NHL should be embarrassed putting Shame Weber into the hockey hall of fame. What the F did the guy ever do to deserve this. It brings down the entire league and all those that have been entered into the HHOF. SHAME! The guy was a pylon with a sweater on the ice. Was an embarrassment to the Habs as a captain.

This was Wifi's first game in which he was reliable throughout. He played 15 minutes, his longest this season. Let's see more of that!
lol that slice of toast

Hutson can take Dach spot no problem. Dach is awful.

HAHAHA THE MAIDEN JOKE WAS SPOT ON i was at the show in mtl and the line was hugeeee
0:02 we need that Pezzetta image on a milk carton
The turd period looked less turd-like last night.

RUclips not allowing fights to be shown is some nanny state bullshit
And yet you can go on youtube and watch just about any hockey fight you want to.
Thank God Trump’s going to stop the censorship
It’s not youtube. I see way worse than hockey fights on the tube…
Even NHL channel doesn’t show fights in the highlights. What a snowflake world we live in now
RUclips went full commie when Wojcicki was attending the edge foundation "billionaire's dinners".

Olivier fed Rempe his lunch last year. Good on X sticking with him
PP Unit 2 looked much better than 1 imo
wow, nice canadian supplex by condotta (right on the ice)

Man are you nuts, you ever watch that guy in international competition? One of the best defensemen of his generation.
Habs suck.
Not as much as your mom.
