I love this technique. My godmom would braid my hair like this and she passed this year. I am determined to learn myself now because I just can’t see myself taking down regular individuals after knowing I can do a take down quickly. I have been spoiled. The only thing I found even close is two strand marley twist. Thank you for this tutorial 🙏🏽

I used to do braids on myself like this when I was new to braiding, but as soon as you wash it, they slip down. I don't get it.

How do these hold up when they get wet? Like swimming or cleansing your scalp...
Cleaning the scalp was fine. Not sure about swimming.
Have you ever tried it with larger braids
Hi. Yes I have. Its possible but I prefer the smaller ones. The larger ones slip too easily.
If I get in the water will they slip out?
I would be careful adding a lot of water or submerging whole head in water to scrub. 14:54….. I kinda show how well they stay in. Plus when I did these years ago, I used mouse.
Will this work with medium sized box braids/poetic justice braids?
Hi. Unfortunately, this technique seems to only work woth small singles, and human hair.... i never tried with box braids but i imagine the weight would be too heavy and slide fast. I did try with synthetic hair and it didnt slide out.
