    I currently live in the Phillippines. Kymco scooters are popular here, good quality. The 300i model is very very popular here. The factory in Tiwan just moved to Laguna, Phillippines and opened in November 2021. This is a very good scooter! John

    Kimko scooters.. In my opinion, the best brand in the world, the most beautiful finish.. Easy to maintain, parts are not expensive. Very high quality, consumes little gasoline, long-lasting and long-lasting scooter. It is very mandatory to have a basic service.. It goes well up the hill, it can reach 140 on sat. But it is enough and safer up to 80 per hour.. Any fast driving is dangerous to life.. For me, who is 193 tall and weighs 110 kg, this scooter is very very excellent.. Kimko the best and most beautiful scooter in the whole world.. Kudos to Taiwan for their beautiful products. If anyone is interested in Kimko scooters, ask...

      Yeah, it's rare to see a modern scooter that doesn't have digital gages that you can't see in bright sunshine and isn't styled like a prop from a Star Wars sequel. Too bad I just don't fit on it with that stepped seat. If I could move back a few inches on it I'd be riding one.

      I have the Kymko Like 150i and like it very much but since Yamaha offers the X-Max 300 in the US with Tech package I would go for that one. This is not current Kymko model! Look on RUclips! Why they sell us old models in the US?

  • @barryervin8536
    @barryervin8536 Год назад +4

    A few years ago I was very interested in the 300 X-Town and went to my local Kymco dealership to check it out. I was very disappointed when I sat down on the one in the show room and felt very cramped on it. The stepped seat had me jammed too far forward with no leg room and I felt like the handlebars were in my lap. And I'm only 5' 9". Apparently these things are still being designed for very short people. Aside from that it's a great scooter at a great price. I checked out the Yamaha 150 S-Max once and it had the same problem. I could never be happy with that "sit up and beg" riding position. My current Kymco Like 150 is obviously a smaller bike but due to the flat seat and flat bars I can slide back a bit and be fairly comfortable. I've hated those stepped seats ever since they first started appearing on motorcycles almost 50 years ago.

      @@temurkurbanbekov9639 We don't have Peugeot scooters here in the USA. The only European scooters sold here are Vespa/Piaggio. The US isn't a big market for scooters in general, I almost never see one on the road except for my own. Even in big cities you rarely see them. Never see small motorcycles anymore either, just big expensive Harleys and sport bikes. I watch scooter videos from Europe and Asian countries and it looks like scooter heaven.

Maybe you've tried the Kimko with a flat floor for your feet. and the French Peugeot, they are like Chinese quality plastic, nothing is wrong with them, nothing comes off and falls off, and after 60,000 kilometers, the engine and the pistons in them fall apart...Kimko is a very excellent and quality brand..Greetings to you from Europe..

      @@zutaruka-ni2rg The X-Town may be comfortable for you, but it definitely isn't comfortable for me. But we all have our personal preferences. Personally, I dislike the "feet forward, lean backwards, hands up in the air" riding position that seems to be so common on modern scooters and motorcycles. If I try something and I don't like it, I don't buy it.

    Did the X-Town get ABS on the rear wheel for 2021? Previous years only had it on the front. It looks like it has a sensor and speed sensor ring on the back now.

    • @shorecycles410
      @shorecycles410  3 года назад +4

      This is a good question and I had to do some digging. On the KYMCO USA website, the specification list only states “ABS” next to the “front brake” specs, and not the “rear brake” specs. However, on the official PDF from the KYMCO global website, it states the following text listed below. At this time the information is conflicting, as the USA site says one thing and the global site says another.

      Bosch ABS works with the front and rear brake disc to shorten the braking distance and provide
      stability.
      ※ Improved handling: the Bosch ABS works with the front/rear fork and highly rigid chassis to 9.
      provide a pleasant riding experience.

    • @barryervin8536
      @barryervin8536 3 года назад

      @@shorecycles410 "Global" specs are sometimes different from US specs, especially when some countries require equipment that others don't. From what I can see in the video it looks like there is a speed sensor ring on the rear and it looks like there's a wire harness running to the rear along the rear brake hose. I know the older X-Town I looked at in a dealership (2019?) did not have rear ABS, but apparently European versions did. Kymco (and many other makers) make lots of errors in their advertising and never seem to correct them.. Right till the end the specs for the Like 200i claimed 2.8 ft. lb. of torque, which is ridiculous, I suspect they meant 8.2? 2.8 is 50cc territory.

    • @shorecycles410
      @shorecycles410  3 года назад

      I completely agree -- The reason I wanted to reference the international specs is that they support your contention. The rear wheel does indeed have a sensor at the wheel on these new 2021's, but I can't say for certain if/how this affects ABS. The US specs only list ABS at the front wheel. If you're looking at purchasing one in your area and want to clarify before purchase, I'd recommend giving KYMCO a call at 888-235-3417 to get the exact answer.

    • @thomasbeirne8213
