Great video! I agree with it all. The autofocus system is very good. Good photographers are getting very good results. The people complaining that the AF stinks are not experienced shooters from everything I’ve seen. The AF is NOT autopilot, but neither is Sony or canon
Thank you man! AF is never autopilot - but the auto word is definitely a misnomer haha. The X-H2S has the best AF system I've ever used though, period. And coupled with the insane 40fps with AE+AF, it's pretty great results wise.
Thanks for including some aircraft shots, I know you mention it's not your typical style - but good to see a couple of examples of the subject detection in that mode, as most reviews focus (pun intended) on wildlife or face/eye.
Good choice! Unless you have a ton of $$, just get the X-H2S or X-H2 (depending on the AF ability there) since you already have XF glass. The big thing with GFX is having to re-purchase more glass but it's just too much and too expensive. BUT DA IMAGE QUALITY THO!
I have! Very similar results to what you got on X-Trans IV sensor files in CP1 - always better IQ than Lightroom but the gap has narrowed quite a bit. I am all-in on Lightroom sadly.
Yes, it can be, Lightroom has improved but still not fully optimised for xtrans. There are workarounds, and plug-ins to get around this for those that want to stick with Lightroom. Otherwise alternative tools like Capture One do an amazing job out of the box, but not everyone wants to switch tools.
Yeah, the nightowl is right, haha. There are still "worms" when using sharpening, BUT, "Enhance Details" greatly reduces it. I don't notice the worms unless there's heavy foliage far away from a wide angle prime lens. Otherwise, it's very fine.

Thought it was important! I did enjoy shooting them too and the subject detection feature for aircrafts was very very impressive!!
I love this review I’m planing on doing my first RUclips video using this camera with my EF glass collection. thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! I can't wait to see your review!!!
Awesome video! I want to trade my X-T3 in for this or just save up for a GFX 50r or 50sll.

Nice Shot bro have you tried on CP1 with Xh2s RAW files?

There is an article about worm shape artifacts when editing photos in Adobe Lightroom. Is this still true?
