weirdly for me, this makes one half of the sun rays lighter than the other. cant figure out how to fix. i do appreciate your tutorial though! any tips?
I try to change the stroke of my line, and i dont have a triangle, or any shapes you have, only solid 100% hardness line, a dotted line, and softer line. No triangle or curves, do you know how i can import different strokes, or add more options? is it something i can download or addon? i think im using CS6

Actually there's a way. You can use Adobe's Mobile apo called "Adobe Illustrator Draw". Get it from Google Play. Apart from Starburst, you can do a lot more. Give it a try.

Right at the beginning you draw a rectangle and then suddenly there is an inner circle. That is not happening for me. What step am I missing?

when you print it or export as an image, only the content within the artboard will be visible if you tick the artboard-box.
