Sorry, old guy here, but Judas Priest without the beast, AKA Rob Halford, is akin to Iron Maiden without Bruce Dickinson, Blizzard of Ozz, being released without Ozzy, or Van Halen without the Eddie (RIP).

Here he's shown like a caged animal waiting to mercilessly pounce on you (kinda like a Painkiller era Halford-clone- hairstyle included and everything), when in fact, he's a very quiet, tranquil frontman with only occasional outbursts of stage madness. Quite comprehensible, though- Halford is such a huge institution that it was only logical for Priest to get their new frontman not only to sound, but also to look like their previous singer. So, this being the only visual reference I had of Priest with Ripper until I bought the "Live in London" dvd... boy, talk about jarring contrast.
no doubt that Halford is the voice of Judas Priest, but i love this song. the BASS in the beginning and then the strong voice of "Ripper" Owens is like the drums in the beginning of Painkiller and then Halford's voice. i have a "best of" on my mp3 player and this song is one them, "Breaking the law", "Painkiller", "The Hellion/Electric eye", this one and also THE BEST ONES of Halford's project. When this album was released i went to see the show just to watch "Ripper" Owens on stage and HE DESERVES TO BE RESPECTED ! \m/ \m/
Everybody talking about Tim Ripper's vocals, but holy fuck that drumbeat at 3:20. Those are some savage blows being thrown around, that you don't really hear in other Judas Pries songs.
I'm going to go on record in saying this, even though I may get chewed up for it. When Priest does their 50 year anniversary tour next year (depending on COVID, of course), not only should Priest cover some of the Ripper-era songs, but Ripper should be on stage performing them. I also believe that this may have been one of the major reasons why KK left the band (that Rob didn't want that).
Still a Great song! Seen them at the "Boat House" in Norfolk, Va. Great concert!! I even got a Glenn Pick. Ripper even slapped the hand a few times. I was up against the rail.
This album is absolutely brilliant, it shits all over lots of the Halford fronted stuff in my opinion, I think people just wouldn't give this record a chance because Halford wasn't singing. That verse riff is crunchy as fuck, this deserves to be played loud!!
Wouldn't exactly say it "shits" on Halford-fronted albums unless one counts portions of Ram It Down cos in my opinion only 1/2 of that album rips. Rocka Rolla was a fail all the way around. Even Tipton slams the sound on Rocka Rolla and says even remastered, it has no chance. But leaving off Point of Entry, I say British Steel through Painkiller was great. Nostradamus was okay... But Ram It Down and portions of Turbo were sinking ships.
revivedfears Owens also did great work with Iced Earth. But Priest isn't the same beast w/o The Metal God, just as Maiden was not the same w/o Uncle Brucie.
I love Judas Slayer or Pantera Priest haha I love how they reinvented their sound and went heavier...plus Ripper's voice is unique until he does the Halford screams.

1 bad ass song and cd. the ripper & j.priest!
Minha música preferida desse álbum muito foda,não entendo como há fãs do Judas que não curtem esse som alucinante.
That was one of my favorite songs on C.D.....Badass song! Ripper Owens can hold the high notes and his killer screams!
That riff man.One of their best ones.

MOst underrated album ever!
Fuck Yeah!!
3:50 reminds me of Machine Head! \m/
Everybody talking about Tim Ripper's vocals, but holy fuck that drumbeat at 3:20. Those are some savage blows being thrown around, that you don't really hear in other Judas Pries songs.
Glad you liked. Check my 2017 remaster of the song.
The best song with the "Ripper " singing...
Love the Ripper years. Halford and priest are my all time favorite but this shit rocks.
Temazo pura potencia espectacular!!
Check my 2017 remastered version.
Amazing voice
i like the way glen tipton plays and his body expressions
The greatest singer in Heavy Metal 😍😍😍
by far the best song on the album!!!
K I don't know if I would go that far. This one is decent but actually seems a tad cheesy compared to some more serious tracks on this album.
Nah.
Tem que respeitar o Tim,o cara é foda 🤘
La mejor época de Judas!!Grande Tim 🤘🏻🔥
I love this dude and I love Chris cornell
Jugulator is a KILLER ALBUM!!
Still a Great song! Seen them at the "Boat House" in Norfolk, Va. Great concert!! I even got a Glenn Pick. Ripper even slapped the hand a few times. I was up against the rail.
Haah! Norfolk, Va is actually where Scott Travis is originally from. You effectively saw them in a member's hometown. Respect \M/
Quem se diz fã do Judas e não curte esse som foda pra caralho não é fã de verdade.
The second best promotion video of Judas Priest after Painkiller.
This album is absolutely brilliant, it shits all over lots of the Halford fronted stuff in my opinion, I think people just wouldn't give this record a chance because Halford wasn't singing. That verse riff is crunchy as fuck, this deserves to be played loud!!
Listen to Ripper's voice in "Death Row" though...
SAY YOUR PRAYER, BEST BEWARE
IT'S NOT VERY NICE IN THE ELECTRIC CHAIR
Wouldn't exactly say it "shits" on Halford-fronted albums unless one counts portions of Ram It Down cos in my opinion only 1/2 of that album rips. Rocka Rolla was a fail all the way around. Even Tipton slams the sound on Rocka Rolla and says even remastered, it has no chance. But leaving off Point of Entry, I say British Steel through Painkiller was great. Nostradamus was okay... But Ram It Down and portions of Turbo were sinking ships.
ok if you say so lol
Chris Zaia great comment man, insightful stuff
revivedfears
Owens also did great work with Iced Earth.
I love this song, and sorry for the fans, but to me Reaper (especially in this song) just equal with the master. ❤
Judas Priest the best British Heavy Metal 🤘🤘🤘
Damn this song goes hard..never rlly listened to ripper stuff with priest
Listen to the 2017 remaster version on my channel.
To me it's the best album ever from Judas. My favorite!!!
Ripper sings his ass off primo!
