With out a doubt, the best setup for a rig this size, I have seen. I just bought a 7'x18' Colorado Trailer and I'm jealous. Lots of work ahead for me. Kudos.
Real nice video.... I installed a Dickinson P-9000 in my 6x12 cargo trailer and am well pleased with the little heater. The bad fumes go outside and it's super warm inside.
but I won't be showing off anything inside, it's a worksite! I'm gonna leave it right there... Although, I will be picking a major project to work on while I'm there!
Have you no shame Rick? Golfing around begging pie😁. Our Friday morning is complete once again. Beautiful set up on that rig! And who knew Linda could sing. You two have lots of fun there and we'll see ya next week!
Nice job on his trailer! Just so you know, we pulled a 21 foot Winnebago trailer (2108DS) loaded with our "stuff" with a Tacoma. 3.5 V6 engine, got 15mpg at highway speeds
Aw Rick, it's time to upgrade to a larger trailer! I love the kitchen sink area cool! Imagine the possibilities and the ton on new videos content you can produce, it's time Rick!
Always interesting to see what people come up with in those rigs. Wish RUclips had been around when we made an RV out of a 1953 bread truck. Maybe you guys will run into Campervan Kevin while you’re there. Godspeed folks.
Nice cargo conversion your friends did. 8 feet wide? WOW! Happy with my 6' wide but sure love to have the extra 2 feet. Thanks for the video. Your roving reporter Linda is getting good at her job. 👍
Wil and Becky are good people and we're fortunate to have them as friends. I'm so glad they're out there enjoying all the hard work they put into their rig and gear. Love you all!
Awesome video! Thank you for sharing Wil and Becky's home away from home! They worked hard on it! Becky I LOVE your work chair as much as my own. Wil be safe on your ride abouts meeting new people. Love you both!
Love Will & Becky's rig!! When you started the video I saw the tent and said Heyy they've got a Springbar tent!! I have a 10 X 14 Springbar that's 35+ years old and I've passed it down to my son's. We now camp in a 8.5 X 18 CTC. The Springbar tent is MADE IN AMERICA and in my opinion is THE BEST canvas tent ever made and the easiest tent to put up! Great idea using the lag bolts for stakes I use lag bolts also. Love their rig Will did a good job building and designing it. Have fun y'all enjoy the warm temps, sunshine and NO SNOW!!
I know you like the 6x12 size, but I have to admit I really like the 8x 16 or 20's, personal preference I guess. But I have different needs, like making mine a part/full time mobile hunting camp, or to put it another way a really basic travel trailer without all the typical window dressing you get in one from a dealer. Thx for the vid
Love Will & Becky trailer. Like Becky said "all the comforts of home". I love being out in a nature and I can take a sponge bath, cold shower or river bath, but at the end of the day I like a comfortable bed. Great video. And I must admit, I'm feeling a bit envious that I'm not in Quartzite. I'm ready to get out of this cold and rain here in Northern California. Enjoy rest of your stay and b safe. 🤙
I LIKE those tires!! Now I want those for our rig. Love the pantry shelves. I like that heater too! We looked at those camp chef stoves. I think they're pretty awesome, but don't feel we have the appropriate space for one in our little rig. Definitely looks like a good sleeping area. And I do like that it can be a lounging area for tv watching. I would have said reading a book, but pretty sure everyone knows that wouldn't probably be something they would see us do LOL. I do like that they have room for a shower inside. Hey I've heard of that toilet brand. Have a friend that does van builds and she had a client that wanted to use that brand. Hmmm nice tent. We're in the market for a tent for when we do overlanding. We want one we can stand up in. That short one we have is a no go. We're too old to get dressed while laying down 😂You know those packrats scared the crud outta me while we were in AZ. I was so worried they would chew up our stuff and cause us a terrible issue. We lose about 5-7 mpg when we tow our 6x10. Think we average 12-14mpg. Obviously, it varies with wind and hills etc. Haha Linda seems super happy. That warmer weather must be setting well with her. Great tour! Thanks to them for letting you do that. Always love to see others builds.
Excellent video! Some thoughts about a tow vehicle for anyone who is looking... the F150 3.5L Ecoboost 4WD is highly recommended. It is amazing how comfortable the truck is and how capable it is for towing. Our experience is 9 years pulling a 30'/8000 lb TT. Gas mileage when pulling it is between 8.5 and 9 mpg. For pulling a 16' cargo trailer type camper on extended trips it would never be working very hard. You could probably expect at least 10 mpg when pulling one. However, when not towing, our highway mileage is 20-22 mpg, which is a huge plus!
Super cool, nicely done, Wil and Becky! Hey Rick and Linda, you're more than welcome to come down and review my trailer, too, for your channel and viewers! : )
Great video as always! Really nice trailer setup! I pull a 1965 vintage trailer around and get 10 mpg with my truck which I don't mind. Happy travels my friend's!
For mice I don't know if it would work on the road. You can use 50/50 cornstarch and baking soda and put some bacon grease in. It will kill the mice but it won't hurt dogs. That's what I use in my garage.
Great video! Beautiful trailer construction. Just a little information about the tires. Some states(New York for one) only allow ST (special trailer) tires on trailers. No LT or pass. tires allowed. Big fine and possible "out of service " citation if found. Just a heads up.
Hi Rick and Linda. Really enjoy each of your videos. I’m going to do a weird ask here. I have a 77? Eriba Puck that needs a lot of work but there’s no one around here (Eastern Shore of Va) that knows what to do. So, I’m asking if any one of your subscribers would know of someone in my area who does refurbs? I really need to sell the house and hit the road but can’t without my little caravan. I will also get a Springbar tent to give me some extra space. Eventually I’ll be moving into a tiny house (cause I have “stuff”😁) Thanks to anybody who can comment. Sure wish I was in Quartzite or anywhere but here 😎.
Hello Suzanne, what a cute little trailer the Puck is. My first thought is that any trailer shop or vehicle spring service will be able to check the frame for integrity and check the axle for alignment as well as to service the wheel bearings. As for the interior, I'd try to keep it as original as possible. I found this, but I'm sure you've seen it already: crazytroll.no/eriba-puck-classic-and-legendary-touring-caravan/
@@gonagain My area is devoid of good craftsmen - you wouldn’t believe what I’ve gone through with my house. But I will take your advice and go to the only trailer site we have. We have had quite a few people move here from up north so maybe someone is out there. I’ve asked around to the automotive guys who know everyone but so far nada. The RV location north of us has a poor rep so no good there. We’re pretty isolated here and the Puck can’t be towed until new tires put on since the old ones have rotted down due to the constant excessive humidity here. I think the whole carcass needs to be lifted up and put on a new platform. Oh well, we’ll see what the trailer guys say. Thanks for your reply. I really like you and Linda - you’re both so laidback and knowledgeable. Cheers ❤️😎🐈⬛
My 2018 Chevrolet Colorado V6 310 HP with 8 speed transmission crew cab long bed gets me an average 26 hwy no trailer and 15 fully loaded with 12x6 rv cargo trailer.
