39:06 If you buy Alts with BTC or USDT doesn't matter. High BTC dominance may give you more purchasing power looking at the BTC price of the Alts, but the BTC price of those Alts in USDT gives you the same purchasing power.

That is not a very bright idea. You are dumping your alts for a 1X - 2X gain? Now that's if you can afford one bitcoin. You can be doing way better returns on alts in the same time period.

Hi Ben, I was wondering what book you would recommend for time series analysis rigorous preferably with applications. I do have experience up to functional analysis so Im not maths shy. Im also familiar with statistics and econometrics. Just one to up my knowledge and stay busy with the theory.
Edit: I have finished Hayashi and Verbeek introductory Econometrics books. Looking for an expert level text. Is it truly Hamiltons book I need to study?

I like the part where he speaks about BTC Dominance.
I've never heard of ALT rotating to BTC, it's always the other way around. BTC investors sell when they get tempted by the sirens of high Xs, kinda doubling down stupidly because when the bull market ends, alts get simply crushed. If you want alts, don't wait for btc ath to shift from btc to alts.
Excellent analysis. IMO we will revisit around 50K for sure this year. I expect a slow grind down or sideways for the next months, then start going up again in november or december, and find new ATHs in 2025. Unless WW3 or whatever.
The crypto markets moves on its own, it doesn't care about the news and WW3.
The reason it tops and dips prior to April 15th is that people/funds/companies have to sell to pay taxes for prior year gains...

That statement makes little sense to me. Are you saying they are constantly trading in and out, made profit, and just happen to be all in with zero cash on the 15th?
If they are simply holding it doesn't matter what the price is, a taxable event doesn't trigger until they sell.

Waiting for a weekly close (or even 2) in a market where 1 or 2 days can drop 30-60% means an almost guaranteed loss in a breakdown scenario. You have to preemptively assume a breakdown and get it right to not lose. Or you can hold and DCA down at a 30% drawback and wait for the next run.

Broke down on the news of Iran hitting Israel which is interesting to me. I'm wondering if there is a popular trades pair with Bitcoin and another asset and it's the other asset that blew out the Bitcoin part of the trade as traders were caught off foot and having to unwind positions.
PAXG spiked to 2800+ with the gold market closed before falling right back down. I'm wondering if long Bitcoin/short PAXG trades blew up. That pairs trade would make sense for institutions. Or maybe something going on at PAXG internally requiring liquidation of Bitcoin to cover the move.
I dca BTC up to the .7 risk band and sell at the .9 I’m Young so I’m taking on more “risk”
