Man, so much feelings hearing his voice.. been a huge fan since ”superunknown” still hard to grasp he’s not whit us anymoore.. say hello to heaven my man
So glad y'all did my pick. I was watching your other Chris Cornell reaction and was surprised this wasn't done by you yet. Chris Cornell sings this with so much passion.
All I can say is WOW! I'm old so you'll have to excuse me for not having heard this before. I know Prince & Sinead O'Conner's but this is the first time I've heard Chris Cornell's version....and it's absolutely amazing! As if his voice wasn't brilliant enough, the cello added something else special. Thanks so much guys for introducing me to more great music to add to my list!
Chris Cornell began covering “Nothing Compares 2 U” back when he embarked on an acoustic solo tour in Sept. 2015. He cut a studio version the following year, and the track was later included on the posthumous 2020 album,. Prince passed away in April 2016. Chris passed away a little over a year later in May of 2017. This version was recorded in the Sirius Studios in 2015. So, yes he would have heard the studio version. 😀
Some of Chris Cornell's solo stuff is amazing! Especially the Euphoria Morning album. Songs like: When I'm down, Disappearing one and Preaching the End of the World. Great singer. #RIPCHRISCORNELL #NOONESINGSLIKEYOUANYMORE 💔
This one got my mom interested in Chris Cornell at 65 🤗 it opened her mind a bit to his style so she wasn’t hearing just the music (which isn’t her favorite lol). Made my day! This cover is chills. Every. Time.
Oh you have to do his Billie Jean cover! And if u wanna hear him really sing some bluesy notes my fave solo song of his is when I’m Down live at the Troubadour. Ammmmazing❤😊
Written by the late great Prince ❤ Made famous by Sinead O'Connor ❤❤ Hearts and Souls touched by Chris Cornell ❤❤❤ *RIP* Chris Cornell, Sinead O'Connor & Prince, you are all missed ❤❤❤❤
Morning fellas! Just wow! That was beautiful! I love that song and really enjoyed this vs of it! I loved the melody of all the instruments together and feel of it also.. thanks guys! Kool song. ❤️🤓🙂
Find a few live versions out there of Prince performing this, he was so creative he even has different styles of how he played it which are all fantastic but Chris certainly makes you feel it...never ceases to amaze me this was a live performance, if you just heard it without the video you might think its a studio production.
Since you like covers of songs, you really need to watch the video from Kasey Chambers live from the Civic Theater New Castle, Australia. She covers Eminem's Lose Yourself. It's so different, it almost makes you forget it's a rap song.
Anything Chris covers is my favorite version. Listen to his cover of Billie Jean! It’s a whole different vibe from MJ’s and his cover of Zepplin’s song Thank You!!
There's a video of musician Damien Rice who was in the middle of his set and you could hear the audience responding to the news of Sinead O'Connor's death. So many people at the show are trying to inform him that she died and this goes on for a few seconds until he realizes what has happened. His reaction to the news just gioes to show you just how revered that she was (and will always be) to tens of millions of her fans across the world.
I know you checked out Fell on black days before but give the version from this session a shot as well (doesn't have to be a reaction.). [Chris Cornell "Fell On Black Days" Soundgarden Cover Live @ SiriusXM // Lithium - SiriusXM Hard Rock] This version is really insane, shows off his pipes and the people in the room with him love it.
I was watching this the other day, and thought to myself how sad that all 3 singers who sung this have all passed away. And then I thought to myself hang on Sinead O'Connor is still alive 🤦🏾 I found out this morning she had passed away. So sad. R.I.P Sinead O'Connor
everyone who hasnt check out his daughter Toni Cornell 16 performing this etc acostic in her dads studio shes adorable and beautiful personality and voice!
I think we all feel our best in the shower because our vulnerability is protected (naked can’t be seen) so we are shielded from any judgment but our own. Same in the car 😅
Chris sounds amazing on this but Sinead is my favorite. Of course Prince is amazing as well. ❤❤❤ Chris Stapleton sang this at one of his shows as a tribute to Prince shortly after his passing. He did a great job but Chris Cornell imo did it better.❤
I feel like I should know this song but I can't put my finger on it. Probably heard it in the background at some point of my life. Love the pig video. Surprisingly I've always wanted a pet pig. Not many know that about me lol.
@@TheBulle I just can't put my finger on it. I'll have to listen to the others to figure it out. Growing up if it wasn't metal it wasn't worth listening to. Now I listen to almost everything. I absolutely hate country. It always puts me in a uncontrollable rage. Don't know why.
Guys please please please react to the grunge band Hole! They are so underrated because people hate the lead singer but they are awesome! Songs like Violet or Doll parts are good starts. There’s also an awesome live version of a song called Pretty on the Inside.
@actionfigureShowcase Honestly, stop, you are embarrassing yourself. 😉 But then again you’re probably a 15 year old angsty teen who just discovered Kurt and Nirvana and who thinks he was murdeeeeeered. 🤦♀️ 1st album (Pretty on the Inside) was written before she ever met Kurt. 2nd album (Live Through This) has a lot of songs on it that were written before she met Kurt. Album 3 (Celebrity Skin) because yes, there was a third album, Kurt was dead. (RIP) and there was a 4th album called Nobody’s Daughter. And if you covered Hole songs (using Kurt’s voice? 🤣) it means you think the songs are good. 🙂 So, I stand by my first comment: the guys should give Hole a listen.
Chris Cornell could sing the encyclopedia and I would just die.
Absolutely the BEST version of this song EVER! Prince was a brilliant songwriter, and, Chris was just an incredible singer.
Tears, every f**king time I hear it!
Sinead O’Connor wrote the song prince covered it
Chris takes it pure hillbilly.
You are wrong @@user-cc9vw4mo6g
@@user-cc9vw4mo6gYou are either a troll or just ignorant of facts. Peace ✌️
I still get teary-eyed when I hear Cornell sing.
He was also in temple of the dog. I love this guy he has such a unique beautiful voice.
I saw an interview with Chris talking about how he asked Prince if he could cover it. Prince said no, but Chris did it anyway!😂🤘🔥
Man, so much feelings hearing his voice.. been a huge fan since ”superunknown” still hard to grasp he’s not whit us anymoore.. say hello to heaven my man
Chris is in my heart forever. Thank you Chris. For everything. ♥️
His voice damn I miss him thank u for listening u guys rock
This song is beautiful on its own but when the cello hits, oooohweee
Bryan (the cellist) is such a great musician. Got to see him w/CC on that last solo tour and he is 🔥
Cello and violins are super underutilized. Bands like Oasis use them and it adds such a beautiful element.
First time I heard this song, the local radio station was playing it... I had to pull over, and take it all in.
So glad y'all did my pick. I was watching your other Chris Cornell reaction and was surprised this wasn't done by you yet. Chris Cornell sings this with so much passion.

Smokey’s face when Hollywood put his arm around him 😂😂😂
Chris does give goosebumps with his take on the song though. ❤️
😂 I somehow missed it but I went back 😂
08:23 bro went 👀 🤨
Chris was also in Temple Of The Dog. He also did a whole album of covers. I love his version of The Beatles song A Day In The Life
I could listen to him all day, every day for the rest of my life. ❤
And I do. ♥️
This had me in tears first time hearing c.c singing it, so sad he's gone he's such a beautiful person in every way
This is absolutely haunting and beautiful at the same time.
He just made this song so much better..such a terrible loss he had one of the best voices I've ever heard and you'll hear it in this song
Every time I hear this it’s hard not to cry for what we lost when he left us.
Chris Cornell, Layne Staley and Scott Weiland are my top 3 of the 90s!
Mine too... 😊
//C~🇸🇪
@@Camicore1 lol marry me no I'm jk but HIII
Add Maynard to mine😊
That man was born to stand in front of a microphone. Simply AMAZING!
Best cover ever! 🖤 nobody sings like you anymore 😢 I miss Chris so much
Love it when you guys do Chris Cornell songs. He covered guns n roses "Patience" and it was amazing
Every song Chris covers becomes his!! Billie Jean for instance. He sounds like it actually happened to him!💚💚💚
Wrong. He didn’t come close to doing this song justice. He did a good version but it’s nowhere near the Rosie Gaines original
@@TheRobsam I don't believe I'm wrong. I just have my opinion, which is correct, and you have yours. I'll agree to disagree💚
@@fantasmigorical8618 you’re really disagreeing with who wrote the song and originally recorded it.

Love the song, love Chris Cornell, love the FLL Championship shirt. Nice job Smokey!
RIP Chris Cornell. You are so missed.
Chris is so missed. No one sings like you anymore. Best version of this song and I love the original 🖤
Rest in peace Chris
Going off what you said, you guys should do a series of covers that are better than the original.
Written by the late great Prince ❤
Made famous by Sinead O'Connor ❤❤

*RIP* Chris Cornell, Sinead O'Connor & Prince, you are all missed ❤❤❤❤
You need to check out Chris's version of Billie Jean. Its a whole different song. It just hits harder
This song is sad when someone who kills it has now died RIP Prince & Chris. Also hope Sinead is doing OK.
Morning fellas! Just wow! That was beautiful! I love that song and really enjoyed this vs of it! I loved the melody of all the instruments together and feel of it also.. thanks guys! Kool song. ❤️🤓🙂
Chris’s cover is haunting while Sined’s strikes me as begging.

I have been waiting for two to do Van Halen's "Poundcake"!!!!

He definitely killed this version however, that heavy bass drum and snare on Sinead O'Connor's version gets me every time!
Nothing beats this version.

Ive been waiting for this one 🩶
Always blows my mind how effortless CC makes this look
He's Amazing
Now...listen to the version of this he sang with his daughter, and the version his daughter sang.

You should do Chris Cornell's mash up of the Metallica song "One" with the U2 song "One" - it's genius.
Yeah this cover was awesome.
ERRMERRGEEERRRD! FINALY!💚💚💚
I can't think of them as comparable tbh, I think they're done in such a different way I still love the original and love thi sone.
You stated it perfectly. He destroyed this song. He is/was an incredible talent. Genius.
It's amazing to me that he can sing like that while sitting down with his legs crossed, wow.
Gotta check out Chris Cornell doing Bob Marleys “ Redemption Song “ as well 💯
Best version of this song
There is a live vesion of this that is a little betterto me at least! But such an amazing voice!
That was so beautiful ❤️

His voice is the definition of masculine beauty
If Prince were alive at the time of this recording, he would have likely cried....
Beautiful.
Little known fact. He was Soundgardens original drummer because he was the only one who could play weird time signatures
You mentioned Corey Taylor, he actually performed a few Prince songs live the night Prince died
You must react to the live version of his song when I'm down
Seen Soundgarden, seen Audioslave, nothing compared to a Cornell Acoustic set

Chris 's version is haunting..
This is the best version in my opinion
Prince singing this is amazing also.
This was the day Chris Cornell said yeah Prince wrote it, Sinead made it famous, but this is MY song
Damnit, I miss Chris. I hope he's living in peace now.
Forgot Chris was in Temple of the Dog! Also, Citizen Dick. Lol
Chris did a cover of the song One.... all of them lol the acoustic guitar of the U2 song with the lyrics of Metallica's song
For me is chris cornell
PRINCE LIVES (Chris Cornell too)!
Prince wrote this song. You said he covered it, bay the way one of the most under rated guitars ever.
No, this is not a blue song,,, it’s just an acoustic version of a prince song
everyone who hasnt check out his daughter Toni Cornell 16 performing this etc acostic in her dads studio shes adorable and beautiful personality and voice!
RIP what a shame hes gone
You still haven't reacted to Dayton Family F.B.I., and that saddens me.
Easy answer .the one who wrote the song ..Prince!
