Equatorial Guinea confirms hosting Yahya Jammeh

Equatorial Guinea has confirmed that it's hosting former Gambian President Yahya Jammeh. Guinean Information Minister Eugenio Nse Obiang said this in a statement sent out to journalists. He gave no further details. Jammeh left the Gambia on Saturday night after long-drawn negotiations with West African leaders, who had threatened to remove him by force if he did not exit peacefully. Many Gambians however, feel that Jammeh should have remained at home to face trial for alleged human rights abuses.
