My Brother Carlos (R.I.P) and G. Keith Alexander. 92 KTU.
Miguel de Jesus, Carlos was an awesome air talent. He was one of the people who inspired me to go into radio, back in 1981. I lived in Philly, but I would drive to NYC many times, from 1978 to 1983, recording, and then studying what they were doing on the air, so I could learn from him & some others. I never dreamed that 30-35 years later, I would still have these tapes!
My earliest memories of Carlos was as an eleven year old watching him on N.Y.'s WABC's "Video Hot Tracks" at 12:30 a.m. every Friday night! He & Ralph McDaniels' introduced videos to us poor kids that couldn't afford cable!! Thnx 4 the music. R.I.P.
The 80s was the best era with great memories. Rip in paradise Carlso Dejesus and Keith Alexander

I'm sad to relay that Carlos Dejesus, the DJ from 92 KTU passed away yesterday on February 13th. May he Rest in Peace!!

God, I long for these days again! "Who's Been Kissing You" = One of the very firsts songs I heard on KISS FM! I'm actually looking for an early KISS FM playlist from 1981.
That was one of my favorites from that early era of 98.7 Kiss, along with Walking on Sunshine, Make That Move, & Mama Used To Say.
Ellis, Yes, all those great songs and more--like "Square Biz!" I was tuning in on my boom box with a dipole antenna tacked to my bedroom ceiling up in Dutchess County.
OMG! I never knew that he passed away.
Wow..didn't know that! Always thought of New York Hot Tracks when I thought of Carlos DeJesus..the days of great Disc Jockeys are gone forever!

Oh Yes! Thanks for the Carlos DeJesus Photo. We go back to the NY Hot Traxx Days! I grew up watching and Listening to The Original WKTU in NYC .Does anybody Remember when NY HotTrax came on Fridays? You can watch it on Channel 7 WABC and WKTU Simultaneously!!
