I listened about halfway and realized I had taped this very same mix on an old cassette tape, Sure enough I found it. Good old days in NYC. Great music.
I felt young again listening to this music. It's a trip to the past and an unforgettable one at that. Thank you. This was one of my favorite radio stations when I was a teen.
One of the better bits and pieces records ever made totally reminds me of the Funhouse and the paradise garage clubs that are living legends produced some of the best groups, and without a doubt, best DJs to walk this earth, the more than that the best times of our lives thank you 92 WKTU
Best music ever growing up in my 20's. Songs had meaning, videos were great. NYC was great. Had best time listening to KTU at work after work. Moved to florida now 60-regretabbly. The 20's were the best times of my life with KTU and my own apartment in BR back then. Those were the best times of my life never to be repeated-times-----i miss them dearly.
Thank You for this.. i was a DJ from 84-99 .. this station was the.Greatest in NYC!! I always tuned in..especially to Pacos Supermix at 4:10 Monday thru Friday with the Latin Rascals!!
Wow remembering da days 70.80 beautifull still rocking LES AVE D FORSYTH ST BROOME ST DELANCEY ST PARK HOUSE JAMS GOD BLESS TO ALL MY PEEPS BLAST FROM DA PAST.. YOUNG UNTOUCHABLES LIL IZZY AVE D
I remember the year started with the classics of new wave artists of Duran Duran, The Fixx, A Flock of Seagulls and Missing Persons played a lot of the same year in 1982. I also remember the classics from popular music from The Go- Gos back in the 1980’s.
So did I, KTU was the most listened to radio in the nation at that time Paco(or you can call me Pacito) along with the other DJ's. I also listened to WBLS .
Disco 92 Wkt and this one is for u. what a memories, what a radio station, the best ! why did it go away ? and the new KTU 103 I never like it ! (Frank Diaz).
I had to get used to listening to the new station. Sometimes I changed the channel, because it wasn't the same. I did miss the old music styles of that era.

Are you saying this is from the records called Bits and Pieces? If so, what record, Bits and Pieces 1 or 2 ...etc. How many records were released as Bits and Pieces? Were they bootlegs? I would see them at record stores with a real plain label so I assumed they were bootlegs but maybe not.
OMG! I definitely remember this song when it was hot on the airwaves! I was getting PHUKED on rooftops in the East Village NYC, by curious Papis! OMG! How I missed those Anonymous Fun Gay Hook Ups days! ;-()
@Elmer Fudd: 99X was as I recall the original pop/rock station on NYC FM after the genre jumped from the AM band mid-70's. KISS (WRKS, I think) was 98.7. They has a much smoother tempo, almost proto-house - I guess 'cause of the labels they were close to. BLS had 'their' own vibe and heavy-rotation tracks, and they kept it cool politically - even though they were the sister station of firebrand WBAI.
So sick of freaking green day & blind mellon crap. Are we really over a decade ago? Those aren't even classic! Throw in some Skynard or Tje Who instead smh

The original 92 WKTU in New York City was a non-stop dance party anytime of the day or night.
