Wow. I've been designing and installing alarm and cctv systems for 20+ years and i so so enjoyed listening to this explanation of the variations out there. You’re welcome & thanks for watching. Sorry, to hear you’re having such problems with Eufy. Depending on the model, their stuff usually is pretty reliable.
Hey, I love your content and personality. Thank you so much! I have one question: What is your opinion on jamming. I mean for little money the wireless cams can completly get jammed and not work at all. If that happens how do the cameras react? Sound a loud alarm? But could that also possible happen to the wired dvr cam? I mean sure the camera itself will not get jammed but the wifi in your house from outside? Sure you will still have the content locally saved but no real liveview and therefore no prevention like you always advise like e.g. two way communication to scare the burglars away. And one last question: what are the best wired cameras with smart features such as facial/pet recognition (homekit support not needed)? Thanks so much in advance and cheers from Germany!
Always seems to come down to cost - I'm sure wired systems cost a lot more, then there is finding a reliable install such as yourself. So ease of installation for a homeowner plus reliability of the camera system and a reliable WiFi system. Got It. Thanks for your help.
The problem about internet going down (burglars mess with your telecom line, connection faults etc) is easily fixed with getting a 4G lte router, an unlimited data connection in any provider you prefer, and an lte failover switch/router plugged into a ups. It's gonna cost a few extra bucks, but to me it's worth having a steady internet connection no matter what happens, so your system is always up and running. Poor cellular/4g signal reception is easily fixed with additional antennas (external is better) installed on the lte router.
Excellent video with a lot of good information. I have a WiFi camera that only has motion detection and it's so bad that I had to turn off notifications. I recently installed a POE camera system with an NVR. Although it doesn't have facial recognition it does have Vehicle and Person detection that works flawlessly so I couldn't be happier with it. I was only able to afford a system with 4MP cameras but I can upgrade individual cameras to 4K (8MP) or up to 12MP as I can afford it. There is one other thing to consider with WiFi cameras and that is WiFi bandwidth, each camera becomes another device using up your WiFi bandwidth.
I really enjoyed your presentation. Thank you for doing that. Hopefully someday I’ll have something to put some cameras on good job, young man thank you.
Camera security, regardless of the manufacturer, can be enhanced by making sure to change the default settings so online scanners can't access the video feed even if it is detected. The home network should also be designed with security in mind - prevent incoming connections from unknown sources and only allow outbound connections to secure (https) known destinations. The premise is simple, actually doing it does take a little research and work, but it can be done.
Excellent no-nonsense straight-to-the-point. Thank you for explaining facial recognition. I'm looking to replace my Amcrest POE, having problems with it not notifying iPhone, but no problem with Android. I'll continue to watch your videos hopefully I can find a recommendation for a POE system with facial and a app with notifications with Apple and Android phones.
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi camera you’re looking for does not exist. It SHOULD in 2023, but it doesn’t. To meet your needs, you’ll need a wired NVR system.
Sir. Im glad i came across your video. Im currently looking for a security system and have little to no clue what to look for. Thanks to you and this security installer i met i have better knowledge on these systems. I need to know what to look for and what i want out of one.
I have what might make a good video subject. I have a house and three townhouse rentals. I would like to have a security system set up for each. In my mind, I would supply the equipment: door bell camera, a back door camera/light/motion activated, maybe a motion activated light/camera focused on the cars out front . I would like to have it notify the tenant but not necessarily me (eventually I would like at least one unit to go AirBnB and thus at that time I would want to be notified). I have watched your videos and a dozen other peoples and I am on information overload. I don’t know if wired or wireless, big box or specialty store is best. I don’t want you o get into a bunch of monthly fees, the tenant can pay that bill I want to maintain control of my equipment, meaning it stays with the house and I can set up the next tenant when the current one leaves. After reading all this, what do you think the solution is?
Very good suggestion for a video. I come across a lot of people in this situation. I’d set them up with something like Eufy cameras (doorbell, outdoor cameras, etc). Just have them sign up for an account when they move in & have them delete the account when they move out. It’s easy to do that with Eufy & they don’t require a monthly fee.
Great video! What is the best wired, DVR system that will not require a subscription? I have everything in my home using Apple ihome-compatible devices. I want to be able to view it on my phone. Thanks
Thanks! A good wired system will be available to see on your phone, but none of them support HomeKit natively. Our go to brand is Alibi. No subscription necessary. You can contact me if you want more info.
Do you recommend Google Nest indoor outdoor to be used as an indoor camera battery operated to avoid power outages? I just want to keep my neighbors and building maintenance out of my apartment when I'm not home.
Happy to hear you found the video informative! Thank you for watching & I appreciate the comment. We’ll just have to agree to disagree about LOREX. Lol 😋
Good afternoon! We recently bought our first house. The first thing I was interested in is a security system. We got a SimpliSafe system and so far it has worked fine. But now I want to add a better layer of security with a camera system. We had no previous experience at all. While searching for options, I found you and your channel and I have really enjoying watching your videos; very informative and very helpful. Thank you for sharing all this information. I am leaning towards a wired system (most likely a NVR over a DVR). Is Alibi still the best option you could recommend us? How could we get more details about the options for this brand or other option you think could work for us. Also, would you have a distributor in Mississippi? We are located in the Jackson, Mississippi area. Thanks in advance!
Thank you for that. So happy to hear our videos have helped you. Alibi is definitely our brand of choice for wired. We don’t have a distributor in Mississippi, but we can ship an Alibi system to you if you don’t mind installing it yourself (or know someone that can). Here’s my contact info if you’re interested (contact me during normal business hours please). ovou.me/silverhammersurveillance
I hope SimpliSafe fixed the security vulnerability they had with remote door sensors (or any other 433mhz sensors)... also most of the systems can be bypassed very easily because most of them share the same weak spots/design flaws, also it would be better to use cloud backup so if they destroy/steal the nvr system/hdd's you will have backup... also try to use wired sensors where possible. I am pretty sure you can buy all that stuff from china for ~100-300$ and get the same results... while 1 "brand" camera will cost you 100+$ but what will you pay for? quality or name? idk...
99% of this video is spot on and very informative. However you missed me when you said nvr/dvrs don't have as many features 🤔. Most the NVRs i install have tons of features you just have to use them. Wired systems can be wired to alarms, doors, strobe lights, speakers ect.
Yes, that’s where the “in general” comes in that I mention in the written description for the video & also on the ticker during the video. If you watch, I mention that there are some very advanced analytics & features for DVRs/NVRs that blow away the WiFi options, but I was talking IN GENERAL. Because when you’re talking to people all over the globe, which is what this video reaches, not everyone has a person like me & you (if you install these devices also) to buy from. WiFi options are much more available and accessible to the average consumer “in general”. So when I’m talking about the lack of features, I’m talking about the DVRs and NVRs available at your local big box retailer. So again, you have to understand the broad audience this video is aimed at.
If you’re in an area where you have someone like me or you (if that’s what you do) to buy from, that changes things a bit. But not everyone has that option.
I don’t know of any other alarm system (that I could truly recommend anyway) that has the video on the panel. But there are systems that are compatible with Smart Displays and you can control your system & view your cameras on the display. You can do it with ADT Pulse, but their cameras suck.
I use some cheaper Reolink wifi cameras with their SD cards. The are hooked up to my synology NAS with surveillance system as well, so 2 ways of recording. I can easily use the proprietary app and see footage at my PC. Works OK, but setup can be a crime by itself. So a more dedicated system for my new home will be my favorite . Thanks for the videos, very informative!
BTW, these cameras are OK for the price, but durability because of the weather is poor. They stillwork, but look very heavy used after 2 years outside in the Netherlands.
Yeah, weather considerations are a big factor in making a decision for the right system. That’s one of the main reasons I pick Alibi as our go to brand for wired systems.
I’m looking for outdoor security cameras to take to Pakistan. The power goes out often there, which means the Wi-Fi also goes down. I need cameras that will work during these outages. I want to monitor my home from the USA using an app, and I need clear video quality. Any recommendations? I have been going crazy researching!
Hi, even haven't finished your video yet, but will. started reading the comments and am sort of more lost than ever. I basically was just looking for a camera that would go off if I had a delivery and or I could ask who is at the door before opening it. I have dogs who are my mighty protectors, but am older, female alone , not tech savvy at all, and looking for what would work for me , fixed income, bought some light bulb cameras. hard to set up, required me to keep on unsecured network to work, only lighting fixture I have is ceiling light, on porch, won't give doorbell view, so, amy economical answer? Don't want want to pay for new hard wiring, something I could do myself?, even if no answer, thanks for info. you are providing a great service and much appreciated
Well, perhaps you should finish the video instead of reading the comments? Lol I’m sorry, you kind of went back & forth…where would you like a camera(s)? Inside? Outside? Both?
Hi, thanks for replying, and btw did finish video, anyway, just looking for outside, looking for wifi, and as economical as possible, but not junk.@@GeorgeLangabeer
You would either have to string it across in the air, like from your attic to the garage (not ideal for several reasons). Or trench the cable underground in conduit. That’s a lot more work, but the best way to do it. There is a third option using IP cameras & an internet powerline adapter, but that’s a little more advanced.
If you’re Wi-Fi reaches your garage & you have power out there, it might be best to do some Wi-Fi cameras out there. If your garage is close enough to your house, you could use mesh routers like Nest Wi-Fi to get an actual router in your garage, so you have a strong signal out there. Those are all solutions I could help you with if you go to our website & contact me during business hours. SilverHammersurveillance.com
Watched a few of your vids. Definitely the best data on youtube for ALL security cameras not just the latest wif camera. Does the Alibi system have to be installed by a dealer or can you buy it from a dealer as well?
Thank you. I appreciate that very much. You can contact us & buy an Alibi System. We’ll ship it to you as long as you live in the States. We also offer assistance in preparation for the install & Alibi gives you free lifetime tech support. Here is our contact info. Just make sure it’s within normal business hours please. ovou.me/silverhammersurveillance
Thanks you so much for your help and information you are the first person to give us this information on all the pros and cons I've learned a lot from you and now I have a better idea of how to go about my camera or security system thanks again for your help
great content, just found your page and find your information very informative. it's just myself and my wife at home and I work outside the home and my wife would like outside camera that are informative for her while I am away. Also wedo nor have a Smart home, any recommendations for the Phoenix, Arizona area ? thx again for yourtime
People talk about Wi-Fi jammers, but the instances of them being used is extremely rare. It’s usually a case where it’s a professional thief and they are targeting you. But to answer your question, best way to prevent them, is a wired. NVR system that doesn’t require Wi-Fi.
Great information, the motion detection is turned off on almost all my cameras because of false alarms just like you said, If you drive up to my front gate you will see 4 wi-fi security cameras that cost $65-$100 each including a PTZ, they are 1 to 8 years old and today only one is still working. my point is a cheap camera will fail eventually.
Con number 1, can be slightly offset by a cloud or secondary storage space, in the event its some super high end stuff and its incredibly important to not have 1 storage area.
@@GeorgeLangabeer well, if you have a process of removing from the cloud and writing to something else, it is. This can be achieved in a similar manner to trick the system similar to when people used to copy vhs tapes. You are basically watching it on one, while simultaneously copying it somewhere else. This can be achieved with little effort, but it does still take some effort on the users side. Which most clearly are not willing to do. Any wired unit can also be used online. It just takes special programs to operate. However if you hook up a passive only system to the internet, you now have made it possible for someone else to watch ur cameras which is the major positive of a closed system. I agree though, I just wanna let ya know, you can have ur own internet servers, each camera hooked up to its own IP address, just thinknof any major systems. You can replicate those urself anywhere ya know. I can type that ip address into any browser and look at that camera. Big companies do this because the IT people work on them remotely. Anyway, point is, literally anything is possible now. Generally, the cheaper, lesser known brand of camera u go with, the more you can customize them and set them up to exactly what you want.
Boy, do I wish that your business was in the Phoenix area. Would you be able to recommend a company in Arizons that is comparible to SilverHammer? Thank you.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any contacts in Phoenix. We do ship our wired camera systems to other States however. You’d just have to install it yourself.
This was a great presentation and VERY helpful. You mentioned, 'MESH' WiFi and I think that's a likely, possible NVR solution for me right now. Thank you!
Can you recommend a camera that has day/night human motion detection with no false alerts from bugs, sun movement, wind Ect ect with a loud alarm notification and reads motion 50-60ft away I’m fine with it being wired and don’t really care about recording or much else i just need a reliable instant notification of someone in my yard Please any help would be much appreciated I’ve spent endless hours Tryn to find a affordable way to do this and already have bought several EZVIZ cams and a q-see system that won’t do what I need
You’d need a higher end wired system, like one of our Alibi systems. With Alibi, we’ve got cameras with human detection, strobe lights & audible alarms.
For what? Cameras? If you’re talking wired cameras, I recommend the brand Alibi. Check out some of my more recent videos for more info about wired systems.
Would you mind saying more about what you meant in regards to the artificial light on the cameras and whether or not that would be a deterrent? Are there burglars who target homes with cameras?
Some cameras now have what’s called “white light” (certain brands call it different things) night vision. It’s actually a white light that emits from the camera instead of traditional infrared. In most cases this white light can gain you color night vision. I think cameras in general are a deterrent & if you add a visible white light they can be even more of a deterrent.
Hey man, i was wondering if you had some advice or could maybe do a vid on the ballers on a budget haha! I recently decided to get 5 Blink cameras set up around my house (prior to a friend showing me your channel yesterday). I wanted decent night vision and decent quality. I think your too nice when talking about Blinks. They have the quality of an etch-a-sketch… and at night, the best description you could get of a person is “well, we know you were robbed by a human…” I’m in the 600.00 range and the only stores around me the deal with residential, push ADT and sams club crack dealer cameras. After the blink cameras, I’m now okay with going with wired cameras, I think they have more of what I’m looking for. Lol I’ve watched 4-5 of your vids looking for brands and prices but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for so i thought I’d ask, my apologies if you’ve covered this and I’ve not seen it yet! Ps: im sure you hate this type of inquiry, but maybe a video like “best cameras for your bucks availing on Amazon”
@@GeorgeLangabeer Can you elaborate on those experiences? I have watched many videos here and I don't see too many cons. Even from folks that have had them for years. Just want to know why you do not like them, helps me in my decision on what to get and research. How is the night vision of the cameras you sell? Do you have videos of actual footage and testing? If so, can you provide those links? I have Ring and Arlo along with Nest and not fond of the latency of them, Arlo is the worst! Thanks
You can put your obnoxious “????” away. In addition to having a RUclips channel, I also run a business that takes up a lot of my time. So forgive me if I don’t answer every question immediately. Lorex is cheap crap. It’s poorly made, won’t do well in weather & It won’t last you more than a few (few is being generous) years. You’ll be replacing it over & over. Then there is the lack of support & customer service. Good luck if you have a problem with a Lorex product and need warranty support, because it’s not going to happen. I could go on and on. Does that satisfy your “????”???? People that praise Lorex don’t know any better & haven’t tried anything else. They will be changing their tune when they have them long enough to fail (which won’t be long). Our IP cameras have far superior night vision to any of the “drug dealer cameras” like Lorex. We start at 98 feet of night vision with Illuminite technology that provides color night vision. I don’t share links in RUclips comments for privacy purposes.
We do, but we’re more geared to sell locally. Our website is: silverhammersurveillance.com (the link is listed in the description of all our videos). We can ship equipment to you, as long as you feel comfortable installing it.
I've recently been looking for as much info on outdoor wifi cameras as I can to determine what may be best. I live in eastern Canada (Newfoundland) so weather is definately a factor (we get a fair bit of wind driven precipitation) Would you be able to reccommend a wifi camera (brand) that would be suitable? By the way, very interesting video.
One of my biggest concerns with wireless security camera is hacking issues. Many wifi security systems have been hacked into. Peoples in home privacy has been invaded. Access thru tv cameras ... watching peoples indoor activities and literally talking in peoples houses. What is the best solution for wireless and hacking proofing?
A competitor told me that my neighbors probably have the ability to close my camera off, come in and rob me, then go out with my belongings without arousing suspicion. I sustained a $7,000.00 loss last year and 2 wedding rings, a VERY expensive camera a great sewing machine, other nice pearl necklace, gifts from my grandchildren. The people who took my belongings are my next door neighbors AND the management of the small apartment complex I live in. This pilfering has been going on for about 5 years! I know, disgusting, isn't it? I rented a storage place to keep my personalized items in. However please don't think I step aside and allow these crimes, no I do not. I tried to follow steps of responsibility without support or response on their part. ( re: manager is actually one of the theives) Nothing was done as I expected so the next time there was a theft I went to request assistance from the next step management. Her advice is "Stay home. I don't have time for this." Seriously that was her way of helping stop these thieves. The theft rages on. A few of the older less strong neighbors have mentioned things they are missing. I encourage them to lock their doors at night and whenever they go somewhere. I had Blink. I have two cameras in use now. I had a nanny cam and they have been able to break through the cameras I had hoped they would be able to help me help myself catch these scoundrels. Please. Ah, I read that most in home burglaries take place between 10:00 am to 15:30. Truth? I wonder how they use a device to turn my cameras off, enter my apartment, steal and go out again. Can you help me with how I can protect my belongings? Please?
You just need the right equipment they can’t tamper with. It’s unfortunate, but I deal with the neighbor situation all the time with our customers. Sometimes it gets really nasty & out of hand. & yes, most of those types of crimes happen during the day.
Unfortunately, there’s currently not a very durable wireless camera. Wish there was. Nest is probably the closest to durable that we get, but then in the other hand they are very easily stolen. So you can’t win. 🙄
I am looking for a good security camera. My custom home almost done and wired up. I am now thinking Alibi like you mentioned. I need a four camera system. They will be installed on ceiling looking down. Any suggestions on particular models ??
Alibi isn’t available to the general public so you’d need to contact me. If you do, I could tell you about our system that we use daily for residential installs. Feel free to contact me during normal business hours. ovou.me/silverhammersurveillance
Thanks for the video which was helpful. I would be more interested in an outdoor camera that has a rechargeable battery, is very weatherproof including against heavy rain and has a good app that I cam use on my phone. I would also prefer a low key profile camera like in black as oppose to white. What options would you recommend?
@@GeorgeLangabeer Fair enough. What would your recommendations be then? Aiming for the least hassle but would like an effective and good surveillance camera, preferably with a built in storage of 512gb or more and with a rechargeable battery avoiding wires.
I would look at the EufyCam 2C Pro, but it comes with 16GB of rewritable storage. I don’t think you’re going to get to 512GB with your requirements. I think you’re going to have to design your own camera. Lol
@@GeorgeLangabeer The 16gb on the Eufy Cam 2C Pro wouldn't give much storage capacity for the videos. Some of the EZVIZ cameras have 32gb built in storage. I guess I was hoping you could suggest a few alternatives and not just one. Thanks anyway.
What could you recommend for seeing neighbors on your yard. We would like to put one on each of the front doors replacing the flood lights with the cameras with floodlights. Then we would like to put some in places that we can't really wire up so they would have to be wireless. Also would like to not have a subscription for each camera. But just 1 subscription for a couple of cameras. Would like to view the camera at work if we need to.
The new Nest Cams seem like a good fit for all the above. I have a few videos on them, if you want to check them out. They have the floodlight camera & battery powered cameras. One subscription fee for all the cameras you buy. $6 or $12 a month. They all have facial recognition to notify a person is in your yard.
I do, but before you buy one, here’s my view on 360 cameras…not enough detail for the money. They are great to capture general activity, but if you’re looking for any detail from your camera, go with more stationary cameras to get the result. They are great for small boutiques where you just want general surveillance, but they suck for pretty much everything else…plus, THEY ARE EXPENSIVE! Lol
@@GeorgeLangabeer is it very easy to set up. I can not do hard wiring. It’s gotta be wireless. Now will it still be connected to my router wit a earth cable (yellow wire) from my router to a DVR or will it be in the clouds instead of a dvr? I know some charges you but I heard that it your viewing of your came can be keep for thirty days then it’s deleted if you choose not to pay monthly service? Thank you
@@GeorgeLangabeer what about monthly fees? And the best I remember you said on video that a 2k and 4k are better? I also saw a video you said that has a spotlight with camera I have a hard wired spotlight on the back of my, so all I have to do is to replace it with a spotlight with camera, hard wired too on this correct? You said the other cameras could be battery operated, will it last 6ths or 1 year on a charge? Thank you once again taking time to answer all my questions

Exactly to all the above. I couldn’t of said it any better myself.
Hi good info. My Wired clarecontrols cameras are dead. Can you recommend a replacement that is both powered and connected with cat 5 cable. Txs!

Thank you & thanks for watching! Here’s a video I did on my go to wired NVR system:

Excellent video. Watched the whole thing. I only wish you were in LA to install a system for my house. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching! We can ship you a system. Any local electrician can install it for you.
Your video has helped me make up my mind. I was trying to get a wired system that would work in HomeKit, but I see am going to have to do it separate.
I really wish there was a good wired system that was native to HomeKit, but there’s not.
Can you use different cellular sim card, from other mobile data provider?
It depends on which camera you’re talking about?
Very comprehensive video, thank you.
So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Interesting - buying a new setup for my home and this was the only video I really found!
I’m glad it helped & thanks for watching!
Outstanding Overview!!
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it.
So what would you recommend for an exterior Wi-fi camera with good resolution Facial recognition, durability, night vision, and a revolving memory?
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi camera you’re looking for does not exist. It SHOULD in 2023, but it doesn’t. To meet your needs, you’ll need a wired NVR system.
Sir. Im glad i came across your video. Im currently looking for a security system and have little to no clue what to look for. Thanks to you and this security installer i met i have better knowledge on these systems. I need to know what to look for and what i want out of one.
Glad I could help!

What do you think about the eufy cam 3 camera?
Since they aren’t HomeKit compatible, I haven’t been too excited to try them.
Great video, I have bought my first home and I don't know much about security surveillance, this videos has cleared so many doubts , THANK YOU !!
Awesome. So glad it helped!

Thanks for the great information

Great video! What is the best wired, DVR system that will not require a subscription? I have everything in my home using Apple ihome-compatible devices. I want to be able to view it on my phone. Thanks
Thanks! A good wired system will be available to see on your phone, but none of them support HomeKit natively. Our go to brand is Alibi. No subscription necessary. You can contact me if you want more info.
Do you recommend Google Nest indoor outdoor to be used as an indoor camera battery operated to avoid power outages? I just want to keep my neighbors and building maintenance out of my apartment when I'm not home.
It’s not a bad idea. Plus, the indoor model sucks.
Great info

I live in a pretty suculid area...I don't have electric where i could put a camera . what do you think about using a trail cam?
Never ideal, but unfortunately might be your only option.
Is it possible to have wired system stored to HDD and use a cloud as a back up of your footage ?
Yep!
I like the LOREX systems , you can add to it and upgrade , plus great 4K resolution with night color ... good informative video here thank you !

@SmartEman I am interested in a NVR and other security devices

Why are the wifi companies not required to be more secured?
Good question!
Really enjoyed the insight; just beginning our search for the right security camera system. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for that. Much appreciated. 🙏🏻
Good luck in your search!
What other brands are there ? That does the same as the Vivint cameras where you can view video on security panel ? Thanks
I don’t know of any other alarm system (that I could truly recommend anyway) that has the video on the panel. But there are systems that are compatible with Smart Displays and you can control your system & view your cameras on the display. You can do it with ADT Pulse, but their cameras suck.
What do you think about ADT security? Is there a service better than ADT?
I’m not a fan of ADT. They are overpriced & their cameras absolutely suck. As far as a better service, it depends on what exactly you’re looking for.
Nice. Sounds like a decent setup indeed.
You’re very welcome. Thanks for the comment & thanks for watching!
This is my go to wired system. Doesn’t require Wi-Fi.

What cameras do you recommend for a small business? Approx 5-7 cameras needed.
A wired NVR system. The brand we is is Alibi. You can contact me during business hours if you’re interested in discussing.
Lol
I’m sorry, you kind of went back & forth…where would you like a camera(s)? Inside? Outside? Both?
Hi, thanks for replying, and btw did finish video, anyway, just looking for outside, looking for wifi, and as economical as possible, but not junk.@@GeorgeLangabeer
Great video thank you, question so if I want to put some cameras on the back garage how would I put the cable to that?
Thank you & thanks for watching.
Is your garage attached or detached?
Detached

What about WiFi jammers? Anyway to prevent it? Thanks.
People talk about Wi-Fi jammers, but the instances of them being used is extremely rare. It’s usually a case where it’s a professional thief and they are targeting you. But to answer your question, best way to prevent them, is a wired. NVR system that doesn’t require Wi-Fi.
Best explanation ever .thanks

Can’t you have a DVR system back up to the cloud??
Yes you can…

Great information, the motion detection is turned off on almost all my cameras because
of false alarms just like you said, If you drive up to my front gate you will see 4 wi-fi
security cameras that cost $65-$100 each including a PTZ, they are 1 to 8 years old
and today only one is still working. my point is a cheap camera will fail eventually.
You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to security cameras.
Would it be possible to use Microsoft OneDrive for cloud storage?
There are some iP cameras you could configure that way, but it wouldn’t be ideal or very beneficial.
Con number 1, can be slightly offset by a cloud or secondary storage space, in the event its some super high end stuff and its incredibly important to not have 1 storage area.
Yes it can. Just depends on the system.
@@GeorgeLangabeer you can back up any system out there.
If you’re talking wired systems, yes. Not all Wi-Fi systems can be.

Can you recommend a camera that has day/night human motion detection with no false alerts from bugs, sun movement, wind Ect ect with a loud alarm notification and reads motion 50-60ft away
I’m fine with it being wired and don’t really care about recording or much else i just need a reliable instant notification of someone in my yard
Please any help would be much appreciated I’ve spent endless hours Tryn to find a affordable way to do this and already have bought several EZVIZ cams and a q-see system that won’t do what I need
You’d need a higher end wired system, like one of our Alibi systems. With Alibi, we’ve got cameras with human detection, strobe lights & audible alarms.
Ok then what make do you recommend
For what?

What about it?
What do you think about the Lorex N4K3-168BB-1 NVR systems?
I won’t go near Lorex. Too many bad experiences.
Thanks
@@GeorgeLangabeer ????
So what about those of us that do not know how to set this stuff up. If we buy a self monitor system who would you call to set it up?
A local handyman or lower level electrician would be your best bet. But it’s not as hard as you think to try yourself.
Do you sell a complete home security system, i.e., NVR, security cameras, camera doorbell, etc? Website?
We do, but we’re more geared to sell locally. Our website is: silverhammersurveillance.com (the link is listed in the description of all our videos). We can ship equipment to you, as long as you feel comfortable installing it.

I've recently been looking for as much info on outdoor wifi cameras as I can to determine what may be best. I live in eastern Canada (Newfoundland) so weather is definately a factor (we get a fair bit of wind driven precipitation) Would you be able to reccommend a wifi camera (brand) that would be suitable? By the way, very interesting video.
Under those conditions there’s not a wifi camera out there, that I’d recommend (unfortunately). I’d go with a higher end wired system.
A wired NVR system. Like this one.
ruclips.net/video/uKrROE9WdmM/видео.html
Time to get a blicky 9mm and start blastin them fools. Street justice homie.
which wireless cameras, have better durability?
Unfortunately, there’s currently not a very durable wireless camera. Wish there was. Nest is probably the closest to durable that we get, but then in the other hand they are very easily stolen. So you can’t win. 🙄
If you want durability, you’ve got to go with a GOOD wired system.
The audio on this video is pretty good.

Thanks for the video which was helpful. I would be more interested in an outdoor camera that has a rechargeable battery, is very weatherproof including against heavy rain and has a good app that I cam use on my phone. I would also prefer a low key profile camera like in black as oppose to white. What options would you recommend?
I would have several suggestions for you, if it wasn’t for the black requirement. Not too many that fit your exact requests in black.
I could write a novel of options, but your mix of requirements makes it tough though.
I have eufy I love it. I think it’s great.
Awesome. I love Eufy.
@@GeorgeLangabeer ok awesome I will check out the videos thank you.

@@GeorgeLangabeer do you have any 360 camera suggestions??
I do, but before you buy one, here’s my view on 360 cameras…not enough detail for the money. They are great to capture general activity, but if you’re looking for any detail from your camera, go with more stationary cameras to get the result. They are great for small boutiques where you just want general surveillance, but they suck for pretty much everything else…plus, THEY ARE EXPENSIVE! Lol

Can wired cameras be viewed by cloud based services?
What cloud based services are you talking about?
@@GeorgeLangabeer like on the Google cloud
Most wired systems have their own cloud services & are proprietary.
Is this service only for Omaha?
We can ship equipment direct, but are installation services are 150 mile radius if Omaha.
