For people who want to get one, here's some tips: *Travel pillow! You will be able to sleep on that side without issues. *Tea tree oil for hypertrophic scaring (the bumps). Just apply a drop to the bump over a series of days and it'll dissipate. *Sea salt soaks twice a day for cleaning. Q-tip for crusties. *Don't twist or move the jewelry. *The healing process can be quite long, 6-12+ months. If you want it, get it!! They're awesome!
Heather Wright perfect advice. I followed the same with my conch piercing. My rook piercing refuses to cooperate though (had both for almost two years).
Everything she said is due to her own pain tolerance!!! Not everyone is the same. Mine hurt really bad too but I was able to easily change out piercings within a month and sleep on it so everyone is different!!
@@ellageorge4253 true :) mine stopped hurting on day 5 I'm so happy lol It only bothers me if I accidentally sleep on it or when I'm taking my shirt off and it gets tangled lol
Mine barely hurt at all. This is only my fourth day with my industrial piercing, and let me say it never hurts, I haven't had any crusties, it only swelled on the day it was pierced, and it only bled the first two days. That being said, I'm very thorough with my aftercare, and do it at the same time each day. I always have my hair up, and since I wear glasses I also clean the arms?? of my glasses just in case.
i got mine pierced recently and i can say that it doesnt hurt and all even when i bump into it or accidentally sleep on it. if you’re thinking about getting it DO IT!! pain and healing is different for everyone!
Spend the extra money to go to a good place. Mine hurt at about a 4 on the pain scale, and since the first 24 hours it doesn’t hurt anymore. Relax when you’re getting it done and you’ll be fine.
And for aftercare only use nielmed wound wash, which is sterial saline only. Don’t pick at the crusted blood, and clean it after a shower, which will make the crusties come off pretty well, but if they aren’t coming off don’t pick them. If you get any irritation bumps, go back to the piercer, because even if you fix the bump you haven’t fixed the reason for the bump. And DO NOT put crushed up aspirin on your fresh wound. Ever.
I'm pretty sure the second one hurt because it was the top part. My piercer did the top one first on mine and it hurt like hell but when she did the second one it didn't hurt much at all.
I’ve seen a lot of people say the top part closer to your head is really really painful. I honestly didn’t even feel it. The bottom part of it hurt worse but it wasn’t too bad.
i’ve got my industrial pierced and i’d say speaking from someone with and extremely high pain tolerance my pain was like a 1/10 i didn’t bleed and it was over in like 5 minutes tops, i would definitely recommend this piercing because it’s really not that bad and it’s worth it in the end
update I got mine pierced like 2 days after I commented and I love it. the top part was a 2/10 and the bottom part a 4-5/10. I think that the guy pierced it the wrong way and that's why it hurt that much. Highly recommend, I get so many compliments
I’ve had my industrial for a week and 1) didn’t hurt that bad when I got it pierced 2) stopped bleeding completely after two days 3) didn’t hurt to clean it after three days Instead of using just wound wash or salt water, antimicrobial soap works way better. My ear piercing stopped hurting after the first day
The salt solution is to help with healing the soap can be used for anti bacteria tho so they both can be used. You don't need to buy it u can make it yourself to
yall i just got mine today and for the pain: TOTALLY depends on your pain tolerance. it was my first ever cartilage piercing and also the first piercing i’ve had in over a year and i didn’t even flinch. If you frequently get headaches, have had blood taken in the last few months, get bad period cramps or literally have any reason you have high pain tolerance you will be absolutely FINE. as for bumps, pain etc. go to a good clean place and take care of your piercing well but sometimes no matter what your body just isn’t into it and will reject the piercing, there’s nothing you can do. also for bumps you don’t need to put anything on and ESPECIALLY no antiseptic or home remedies. tea tree oil is good i’ve heard. if i remember then i’ll update this when mine is healed :)
okay i have frequent migraines and have had 30 ankle sprains and a concussion i think im fine i also had bad period cramps before i had testosterone thanks :)
piercings are different for everyone. it depends on: 1) how you get it pierced 2) where you get it pierced (on your ear, as well as the piercer) 3) how you look after it
Whoever wants to get this done just do it I just got mine and it didn’t hurt much and obviously just gotta be careful is not that hard And u don’t need to spend money on solution sea salt with water will do the job And just don’t sleep on that side for a while believe me you will survive 🙄 lol
Okay so if you disagree fine but I’d like to address some things about this piercing and piercings in general. You know how it is when you’ve been craving that piercing so you go to find a helpful video and are bombarded with warnings about how life changing the piercing is. I’ve had a few and honestly it’s not that deep. The golden rule is too clean it twice a day. I’d recommend buying the solution at the piercing shop and NOT salt and water for a whole bunch of reasons. You can sleep on your industrial piercing, I did every night and it caused no issues because it was clean. If you knock it it’s really not the end of the world and yes you can have your hair down. Just try and tame your frizz and keep checking your hair isn’t stuck in it every so often.
i'm getting mine in a couple of days and i see so many negative comments on it and how much it hurts and how easy it is to get an infection or scars. i'm rlly scared now 😫
It isn’t really that’s bad, I got an infection on my ear since I kept on touching it but I used the Advil liquid capsule and put it on once or twice a day for like a week and it was gone and it barely hurts when you sleep on it but I’ve had it for like 6-7 months tho aha
I just got mine done mid-september, and it's really not that bad. Just make sure to never touch it, and less you thoroughly washed your fingers and under your nails, and whatever you do don't twist and wiggle or try to move the bar in any way. That can cause the crusties on the bar to get inside the piercing and cause it to become inflamed, swollen, and can sometimes cause really bad infections. Other than that just make sure not to sleep directly on it, and keep up with the regular suggested cleaning procedures. The sea salt soaks are wonderful, and they really do help quite a bit if you do them a couple times a day.
Wow, I didn't know until now that I got these responses! I got it a couple of days after this comment, so 2 months ago. I made sure to take good care of it so I didn't have any problems so far. Thank you all for the kind words :)
I just got my Industrial done about two weeks ago , yes it does hurt. I’m able to sleep on it . Don’t get me wrong it’s days where I can’t because it bothers, but most of the time I can. Got to keep in mind everyone is going to have a different experience
You definitely need a donut-shaped travel pillow with a snap at the front! I had many sleepless nights until I did. You position it so your ear sits in the hole; don't know HOW I lived those first few weeks without it, until this girl on another video said to buy one of those BEFORE you get ANY piercings done, 'cause it'll be a lifesaver! 💞 😴😴😴😴😴😴 I thought: Well, better late than never! And got it! 💟 One of the best decisions I ever made.
Two holes are going to pierced your cartilage it's just a bit of pain and afterwards it's just heat in your ear,if you take care of It right like not sleeping on it or toaching it with dirty hands or not clean hands something like bumps would not happend, like I didn't even need to soak mine in salt water or had bumps, at first I clean it twice a day and now once, there's a chance that one hole heals first but keep taking care of the whole thing
I also recommend the travel pillow like others but if you sleep with your arm supporting your head or also use your arm as a pillow like me Than getting a travel pillow is not a problem
I agree but I guess it's because everyone has a different pain tolerance but if people want any piercing they should go for it not listen to other people's opinión like IT HURT SO BAD, I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT SINCE FOR ME HURT... Don't listen to other people just go for it since it may feel like a slight pinch for any other people but for others it's different
the only part about the piercing that hurt for me was the healing process and i mainly mean trying to sleep on that side. i got it on my left side because i really dont sleep on that side alot but its like i really wanted to sleep on that side once i got the piercing 😩 lol. when i was actually getting the piercing i really didnt feel him put the needle through my ear at all it was so quick. i do have a high pain tolerance though i actually like pain (lol im crazy i know. i have one tattoo also which definitely didnt hurt. i had my industrial for like 7 yrs now and i love it.
Girl u can make your own solution with boiling water and a pinch of salt let the salt dissolve then get a q-tip and clean ur piercing. I have mine done 2 weeks ago and its healing super fast and doesn't hurt at all
I had mine for 2 months before I had to take it out for school but my experience was: - the piercing was a sharp stabbing pain (mainly the top one) but was over within a few seconds and honestly didn’t hurt as bad as I expected it to - Sleeping on it is impossible. Expect no proper sleep on that side ever again or at least till a year after it’s healed 😅 - It’s very easy to keep clean and non infected. I soaked my ear 2x a day in a shallow container with warm sea salt water and used a Q-TIP dipped in salt water just to get in the creaks and it stayed unaffected and honestly stopped throbbing after the first couple days too - It’s painful while your body adjusts but in the long run looks bad ass so get it if you want - they’re cool!
Get it! If you know you have a high pain tolerance it will not hurt. I got an industrial piercing as my first non-lobe piercing and it was EASY. No bleeding, no crusties until a few weeks later, no lingering pain, no trouble sleeping. Everyone hypes this piercing up to be painful...it's not. If you're scared then just don't do it, you probably have a low pain tolerance and it'll hurt more for you. When my piercer did the first hole I remember saying, "...that was it?" Like HONESTLY it's not bad at all.
Idk .. why almost everyone is like industrial piercings hurt so much. Got mine on 27th of December 2020. Just hurted for 4 days. Like only for 4 days. All you have to do is to be careful and clean it properly 2-3 times a day. Oh, n submerging the piercing in clean warm water after cleaning helps a lot with the pain.~
I got mine done yesterday. It was so unplanned too and I wasn’t nervous at all which is unlike me as I’m a literal baby🤣 the pain wasn’t so bad at all, just sharp pinches but people are different. My bottom one hurts more than the top one(only if I hit it off something) I’m dreading washing my hair tomorrow in case I hit it 😂😩 But everything so far is good.
i’ve had my industrial for about exactly a month now. 1. it really hurt getting it done 2. it actually stop bleeding after 1 day 3. i can kind of lie of it now and just chill but wouldn’t recommend sleeping on it if it’s still pretty tender 4. lol my hairs never gotten caught in it 5. my healing process has been pretty good :))
@@majomarin2210 just keep cleaning it with what the piercer gave you i got given hydren proxie and keep your hair out of it if you have long hair tie it in buns don’t lie on it for a while!! it will hurt like shit and try not to touch it much otherwise it will get infected they do get infected easily x
I dunno, I had a really amazing piercer... I got mine three days ago but I don’t wake up with crusted blood and it isn’t sore almost at all anymore. also I know most piercers recommend sea salt and warm water, but mine recommended antibacterial soap and contact solution. I know cleaning piercings is a very difficult topic, I’ve decided to just trust my piercer since I totally trust him 🤷♀️
I've had my industrial for 17 years. It took it 2 years to be 100% healed. Since I've had it so long, I can keep it out for 24 hours and it won't close. I don't think it can close now, but it hurt a lot, was my first major piercing (not including normal ear piercings in the lobe). But the industrial does take a long time to be 100% healed. It doesn't take a few weeks/months, it takes years. I'm talking full on healed where you can bump it, yank it, bend your ear, etc without soreness or pain.
Nobody ever talks about this, but I feel I should mention that upper ear piercings (industrial & helix) are REALLY HARD TO HEAL when you wear glasses! My glasses were always bumping them and that causes them to scar and take longer to heal. I'd advise sticking to lower or inner ear piercings (forward helix, rook, tragus, conch, daith or 2nd lobe) OR getting contacts 😅
When I got mine pierced he did the top first and it didn’t hurt and when he did the bottom it hurt so I consider if u get one done ask him to do the top one first👍🏻
I am getting one soon and I have glasses...Even tho I really need my glasses to read and stuff I would rather not wear them than hit the piercing every time I put them on or take them off
@@oc2944 Well if you really want one you should just go for it...you just have to be really careful...just bc we don't have 20/20 vision, doesn't mean we can't get something we really want lmao
I was told that if you go to the piercing shop wearing your glasses and you talk to your piercer about your worry, they should be able to pierce you at an angle that works w your glasses :)
Girl I know the feeling. I had to take mine out cus the gold jewelry I had ... I was allergic to. Which I never knew cus I had both of mine pierced but I guess my body rejected it 2x so I gotta wait til one of my ears heal to get it a 3rd time !
dude i watched this before i got my industrial piercing and i was freaking out like a lot and then i got mine and i’ve had it for 3 days and it does not hurt and i can sleep on it and when i got it was a 3 and the second piercing was a 6 for 2 seconds
I had the best experience with my industrial I got it done at the start of the year the healing process was a breeze anyone who wants to get it go for it!
Tell me why the next day after I got mine the pain was literally gone .. idk why I started moving my ear around to see if it would hurt and I felt no pain 💀.
It honestly doesn’t hurt as bad as she makes it seem. Mine healed very well in a month I use the non ionized sea salt water and it helps a ton! I experienced no bumps or blood. It’s how you take care of it. Don’t use solution and soap as much as you should use the sea salt water.
Just got mine pierced 4 days ago. It hasn’t bled since the day I got it and it doesn’t hurt much. Keep in mind everyone’s healing process is different. Some takes weeks, some 3-6 months and some take up to 2 years.
I’m on day 3 of my industrial piercing. So far no bleeding has happened (other then when I got pierced), it doesn’t hurt unless I bump it but even then it’s just a dull throbbing, when I got it pierced it hurt a lot but I have a super low pain tolerance, and because I decided to pierce the ear that I don’t sleep on I have no problems at night
I was expecting it to hurt like hell for the next couple months, and my piercer told me before giving me the industrial that it usually takes a year to heal. By two days after getting the piercing, all discoloration was gone, and it wasn’t swollen or anything. Just hurt a lil when touched. It’s now 5 days after the piercing and it doesn’t hurt whatsoever. It looks and feels just like my intact other ear, but it’s got an industrial piercing. I’m completely dumbfounded. Doesn’t hurt when touched or pressed on either. Like what 😂😂 I feel like I somehow cheated the system and I don’t even know how lmao
I’ve wanted this one for a few years. Im getting mine done in two days! I work at Spencer’s and there one with a small gravestone and a cross with a small patch of grass. I’ve wanted that since I started working there. I’m getting it in honor and memory of Jimmy ‘The Rev’ Sullivan and many more musicians and actors. I have foREVer tattooed on my chest for him. When I heard you mention about your piercing meaning something I felt a huge relief off my shoulders. I thought I was crazy or dumb for getting a piercing memorial for someone. I don’t care what people say, call me crazy, but I have a ‘weird’ way expressing my love and honor for my heroes.
They did the bar automatically, I wish they would have done two separate ones. I keep hitting it and getting the bar caught with my brush when I brush my hair because I forget it’s there. It’s only been 4 days 😂😭
you have to keep the bar in so that the piercing fits in together and is even, if you did separate ones they would’ve healed at different angles and the bar wouldn’t fit :) it’s okay once it’s healed you can change it into 2 separate ones
I will be honest. I got mine done around 6 months ago and I have been able to sleep on it. Just me I guess lol but yanno. It had healed in 2 months too
Im getting industrial on right side and helix on the left. I always sleep on my right side and I never sleep on my back which im gonna have to, so yeet.
If you get any type of Cartledge piercing get one of those travel neck pillows so you can sleep on that side after a bit. The hole in it is really nice to have especially if it ‘s one of the fancy ones that snapped together!
The reason the first one hurt and the second one isn’t as bad is because of your adrinaline. Your adrenaline stops majority of the pain. When your about to get the second one, you know the pain and your adrenaline wears off, making it more painful.
I've had many peircings including my tounge, snake bites, a medusa, my septum and I just got my industrial done. If you go to the right piercer than it doesnt hurt all that bad. Mine stopped hurting after a few hours. You just have to make sure you clean it before and after you go to bed, and make sure to not sleep on it fully. But if you do want to sleep on the side you have it then use a neck pillow on top of your normal pillow. You can fullly sleep on them about 6 weeks to about 3 months after getting it done, depends on the person. Also you have to be careful when taking of clothes. All in all it's a nice peircing you just need to be gentle with it. I was also told to stop using heavily scented shampoo or conditioner because it can affect the healing process.
I just got an industrial piercing yesterday without knowing any of this stuff lol. My piercer went through the top first and then to the bottom. It hurt pretty bad, and the weirdest sensation was the needle going through my ear. I had never experienced that feeling so during the pain I was like "Oh wow okay that's happening". Last night I almost went crazy because I couldn't get comfortable and so much as my piercing touching my pillow caused pain so I just suffered I guess lmao. My piercing cost $40 which was cool, and I bought some saline solution at Walgreens for $9. I think I was gonna get NeilMed, but I read some really bad reviews and decided to go with the Walgreens brand. Also!!! My piercer recommended Dial soap and Bactine which is a huge no-no!!! Both are very damaging and I didn't know that until I looked it up after buying the Bactine. Do not get those, they will make it harder for your piercing to heal. But yeah. I don't know if I would do it again, but it was an experience I had never had before sooo lol
I'm so lucky, mine didn't hurt at all. I don't know if any of this helped me but hours before hand I made sure to eat a sandwich and orange juice so I'm not light headed, and I did morning stretches for 30 mins to get blood flowing and digest the food. I also cleaned my ear with some alcohol packets (The piercer will do that anyway) but I wanted to be sure my ear was clean. I dont know if it changed anything but I feel like I should recommend these things. And I was super nervous about the pain, but it was over nothing. It was so easy.
IMAGINE if they actually made magnetic industrial piercings were you just had to stick the pole between your ear and then the top parts (which are like if you had an arrow style for example) just connected magnetically to the pole inside like - that would be MUCH better and safer than getting a pole though your ear 😂
I got mines and from my experience it didn't really hurt that bad ( for me ) to me it was like a 2/10 for the bottom part but for the top it was like 4/10. it was honestly like a little pinch .
I almost passed out getting mine! I sat in the piercing shop for literally an hour because I felt like ass. I ate and everything before hand so idk what happened. My healing process is pretty great though! I only get crusties and I've had it for four months. I've gotten a regular cartilage piercing and by far, it hurt way less tbh. I also get the wound wash for my ear and it's the best thing I ever used!
I feel like the editing is unnecessary, it distracts. You're so calm, it would suit you much better to just keep it "natural" so the visual is not dominating over you. The edits you're trying to do is for the hyperactive and comedy like RUclipsrs. You're someone I would like to listen to and hear what you say. Just be you without the mainstream editing, it makes you come through much better.
I just have to put my glasses on slowly and carefully. If I go too fast I’ll bump the top of my piercing. As long as you don’t take off/put on your glasses too quickly you’re good.
got it done 3 days ago, so far it has been bleeding really bad, i cant sleep without the fear of bleeding all over my pillows, it doesnt hurt at all, also everyone around me told that saline water is bad and i just should use water, cold or warm idk both work, also my piercer told me to use ice, i did and it still starts gushing blood out, im so jealous of those who got it and their bleeding stopped a day or two after it or it didnt bleed at all
Does anybody else just spray the saline solution on it? Cause I don't even use Q-tips. I just spray the solution on the piercing on all sides and it's been healing up fine. I barely know it's there until I accidentally hit it or I lay fully on it and I've only had it done a week and 1 day.
I had my Industrial done in September. And it HURT.....for weeks. Only just recently the pain has settled. I can clean it with not too much tenderness now. Yes and sleeping is horrible. But it is totally worth it. I can sleep on it now with a high soft pillow. Thanks for the informative video chick😊
I have my industrial done but when mine was pierced he did the top first and slid it down to the bottom but it was a breeze for me but all people take piercings different
few of my coworker had tongue piercings and I asked one to show me the jewelry, it looks like it would be very painful to get it pierced:( but she recommended I get it done too. Ur brave to get it
Just got mine two days ago! No pain at all when they were piercing it. Only pain for an hour afterwards. Pain free since I got it. Cleaning it also doesn’t hurt for me either.
My industrial is 16 years old. I still have the bar in. But I can bend my ear and such since it's 100% healed now. But I have a 3 week old labret and a week old double helix. The waiting sucks.
I know this is old but, YES I just got one today and I have had eyebrow, tattoo, dermals and none hurt compared to this x.x When they did mine I felt only one giant sting and throb. But like tense and even after it still hurts. Even though it felt like a hard pinch. Idk i can't describe it. Because my pain tolerance is high. All the stuff I've gotten so far always tuckled me if anything. But this was different. Also when i got borh my eyebrows a masquito was flyimg around my eye and when i went to slap it (forgetting about my piercing i ended up slapping my eyebrow piercing and rupping through an centimeter of skin. I froze like you said you did lol
i have a higher pain tolerance and i just got this piercing. in my opinion the lower piercing hurt more and i could sleep on mine with a bit of discomfort about a month after. not saying she’s wrong, just know everyone experiences pain in different ways so don’t let her scare you out of it. bear both opinions in mind.
Got mine done and they did the top first. It hurt but not as bad as I though. 5/10 TOPS for me and the bottom didn’t even hurt at all. Will see how healing goes.
I clean mine directly after my shower, and I use antibacterial soap, which you can get in those gallon refill bottles or whatever, also get pillows with holes in them, like an air plane travel pillow, or I have a pillow that is shaped like a donut, its comfortable and I can sleep on my side pain free.
@jas I shower like normal, but I also wash my hair once a week, so I tie it up, im still pretty careful with it since its only been a handful of months but I do find it easier to let it soak from the shower and get out and clean it that way.
When I got my industrial they did the top first and then the bottom. The top I could barely even feel it but when she did the bottom it нυят A LOT I was regretting all my life decisions leading up to that moment 😅 I’ve had it for 2 days now and my hair keeps getting tangled up in it and I can’t wait for it to heal. Although I think it’s worth it and if you want to get it done then go for it, but keep in mind that you have to have the right ear anatomy to get it done otherwise it’s too risky and a lot of piercers won’t do it if your ear isn’t the correct anatomy needed for this piercing.
I had my industrial piercing just a little bit over 5 weeks. It did hurt a little bit when I first got it done. I have been sleeping on my left side because it is on my right side. My pain level was a 3 out of 10. I still love it!!
When I got mine done, I would have to say pain wise, it didn't really hurt when getting it pierced. The sound of the cartilage popping scared me more then the pain. I bleed more than anything else, but I'm a bleeder. After it hurt more when I hit it on thing, or something tugs it on accident, however sleeping is pretty good for me.
All of you are saying don't sleep on that side but I got both of my sides done, just put a pillow around your neck and just lay up straight if you get both sides. I got mines at 13 I've had it for 2 1/2 years pain completely gone I pull on it I change the accessory and add hooks on it I even got another .
I have an industrial in both of my ears and i get healing bumps at the top of both. I feel your pain. Tea tree oil is what I use most. Its a headache to sleep tho.
got mine a little over 3 months ago and my bumps went away by themself recently and ive been able to sleep on it since 1-2 weeks after i got it done even if you shouldnt. i got a basketbal thrown on my ear a few days after i got my piercing done and i can tell you that ive had a helllllll with it until only recently
For people who want to get one, here's some tips:
*Travel pillow!
My rook piercing refuses to cooperate though (had both for almost two years).
what drop? a drop of what?
Kayla tea tree oil, it literally says it right beside
Thx so much for this😄
Heather Wright I really want to get one but don’t think I have the right ear shape 😥
ALSO DONT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON HEALING SOLUTIONS!!!!!! SEASALT AND WARM WATER 3 TIMES A DAY WILL BE YOUR BEST FRIEND
2 times a day. I just got mine done today and my piercer said twice a day
Who the hell has time for a sea salt soak 3x a day tho
My piercer has me use saline solution also
@@MissyWaagen lol me girl, 3 times a day until it gets more manageable, one every 8 hours.
@@BZ1610 I tip my hat to your dedication!
Everything she said is due to her own pain tolerance!!! Not everyone is the same. Mine hurt really bad too but I was able to easily change out piercings within a month and sleep on it so everyone is different!!
How long was it swollen? Mines red and swollen I'm on day 3
yeah because hers hurts really bad and mine is completely fine and i got 3days ago
Female Gaster everyone is different it can be swollen for a long time mine isn’t swollen anymore and i’m on day 3 too it just depends
I always have my hair up, and since I wear glasses I also clean the arms?? of my glasses just in case.
i got mine pierced recently and i can say that it doesnt hurt and all even when i bump into it or accidentally sleep on it. if you’re thinking about getting it DO IT!! pain and healing is different for everyone!
molly kate do you get the bumps she was talking bout too?
Same here! I was prepared for it to be extremely painful, but it doesn't hurt at all lol.
Mine hurt. ALOT
Mine hurt well the second one like she said baddddddd
same mine doesn’t hurt either and i’m on day 3
Im getting mine pierced and i am trying to learn more about them befor i get it and this video really helped me a LOT..
Rachelle Glover it’s not so bad or people wouldn’t do it. You’ll love it. Sleep with a neck pillow or towel rolled up like a donut
Ever.
Rachelle Glover you should really get i got mine 3 days ago and I promise you won’t regret it
I know I’m scared now lol😭
The second one also hurts more because your adrenaline is gone
Lol that would make hella sense
I'm pretty sure the second one hurt because it was the top part. My piercer did the top one first on mine and it hurt like hell but when she did the second one it didn't hurt much at all.
Mine weirdly hurt less and it surprised the piercer she was like “what how?”
it usually hurts more because it’s already inflamed for the second one
the second one hurt less for me, maybe it was because the piercer said it will hurt less, or maybe because i got used to the pain
So apparently, everybody says the industrial is really painful and I’m over here with like it was only a hard pinch for me 😂
Alyssa Anne the after care is what I’m really scared about and keloids I really don’t want keloids at all.
Ashley Pineda if keloids aren't in your genetics you won't get them. i've had keloids on both earlobes but it's till getting it done because yolo
Yeah it wasn't bad at all for me!
Just got mine last Thursday and honestly same, very low pain because it was so fast! If anything I had to grit my teeth a little but it was a-okay.
I’ve seen a lot of people say the top part closer to your head is really really painful. I honestly didn’t even feel it. The bottom part of it hurt worse but it wasn’t too bad.
i’ve got my industrial pierced and i’d say speaking from someone with and extremely high pain tolerance my pain was like a 1/10 i didn’t bleed and it was over in like 5 minutes tops, i would definitely recommend this piercing because it’s really not that bad and it’s worth it in the end
thank youu^_^
same here!
update I got mine pierced like 2 days after I commented and I love it. the top part was a 2/10 and the bottom part a 4-5/10. I think that the guy pierced it the wrong way and that's why it hurt that much. Highly recommend, I get so many compliments
Sameeee
same i didn’t even realise it was done
I’ve had my industrial for a week and
1) didn’t hurt that bad when I got it pierced
2) stopped bleeding completely after two days
3) didn’t hurt to clean it after three days
Instead of using just wound wash or salt water, antimicrobial soap works way better. My ear piercing stopped hurting after the first day
Flor.a_qqq Lmao bitch ur lying 😂 (not tryna be rude with the bitch part btw I just always say that)
The salt solution is to help with healing the soap can be used for anti bacteria tho so they both can be used. You don't need to buy it u can make it yourself to
Mine didn’t bleed
@@irissimmons7737 why are they lying??
How's it now ?
yall i just got mine today and for the pain: TOTALLY depends on your pain tolerance. it was my first ever cartilage piercing and also the first piercing i’ve had in over a year and i didn’t even flinch. If you frequently get headaches, have had blood taken in the last few months, get bad period cramps or literally have any reason you have high pain tolerance you will be absolutely FINE. as for bumps, pain etc. go to a good clean place and take care of your piercing well but sometimes no matter what your body just isn’t into it and will reject the piercing, there’s nothing you can do. also for bumps you don’t need to put anything on and ESPECIALLY no antiseptic or home remedies. tea tree oil is good i’ve heard. if i remember then i’ll update this when mine is healed :)
okay i have frequent migraines and have had 30 ankle sprains and a concussion i think im fine i also had bad period cramps before i had testosterone thanks :)
piercings are different for everyone. it depends on:
1) how you get it pierced
2) where you get it pierced (on your ear, as well as the piercer)
3) how you look after it
use a neck pillow it saved my life
Whoever wants to get this done just do it
I just got mine and it didn’t hurt much and obviously just gotta be careful is not that hard
And u don’t need to spend money on solution sea salt with water will do the job
And just don’t sleep on that side for a while believe me you will survive 🙄 lol
Exactly!! People are so over dramatic.
Charleen I know right, it’s like calm down it’s a piercing you’ve not had an arm amputated chill out.
Thank you 😭😭😭😭
This helps so much
Yess!! People can be so dramatic with it like I already have my nose pierced how bad can it really be
i'm getting mine in a couple of days and i see so many negative comments on it and how much it hurts and how easy it is to get an infection or scars. i'm rlly scared now 😫
nega tori don’t be sacred. You will be fine!
Did you get it?
The way you described how you sleep with your arm and your ear... I did the same exact thing 😭😭
I just got my Industrial done about two weeks ago , yes it does hurt. I’m able to sleep on it . Don’t get me wrong it’s days where I can’t because it bothers, but most of the time I can. Got to keep in mind everyone is going to have a different experience
Serenity Ortiz buy a travel pillow. You’ll always be able to sleep on that side if you get one.
I thought: Well, better late than never! And got it! 💟 One of the best decisions I ever made.
I hate needles so much I cry every time I get a shot but I want a industrial peircing soooooo...
@@MiniTonka417 She made it seem like it hurt sooo bad😭😭
I agree but I guess it's because everyone has a different pain tolerance but if people want any piercing they should go for it not listen to other people's opinión like IT HURT SO BAD, I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT SINCE FOR ME HURT... Don't listen to other people just go for it since it may feel like a slight pinch for any other people but for others it's different
@@MiniTonka417 Thanks for the advice 😊
the only part about the piercing that hurt for me was the healing process and i mainly mean trying to sleep on that side. i got it on my left side because i really dont sleep on that side alot but its like i really wanted to sleep on that side once i got the piercing 😩 lol. when i was actually getting the piercing i really didnt feel him put the needle through my ear at all it was so quick. i do have a high pain tolerance though i actually like pain (lol im crazy i know. i have one tattoo also which definitely didnt hurt. i had my industrial for like 7 yrs now and i love it.
Girl u can make your own solution with boiling water and a pinch of salt let the salt dissolve then get a q-tip and clean ur piercing. I have mine done 2 weeks ago and its healing super fast and doesn't hurt at all
Lee Roberts I’ve had mines for about two weeks now and I’m surprised on how fast it’s healing
UR SO DRAMATIC , it didn’t even hurt that much
People have different pain tolerances
When she said “dead ass dude, it hUrTs”. That’s when I knew she’s in NYC
I had mine for 2 months before I had to take it out for school but my experience was:
- the piercing was a sharp stabbing pain (mainly the top one) but was over within a few seconds and honestly didn’t hurt as bad as I expected it to
- Sleeping on it is impossible. Expect no proper sleep on that side ever again or at least till a year after it’s healed 😅
- It’s very easy to keep clean and non infected. I soaked my ear 2x a day in a shallow container with warm sea salt water and used a Q-TIP dipped in salt water just to get in the creaks and it stayed unaffected and honestly stopped throbbing after the first couple days too
- It’s painful while your body adjusts but in the long run looks bad ass so get it if you want - they’re cool!
1. it really hurt getting it done
2. it actually stop bleeding after 1 day
3. i can kind of lie of it now and just chill but wouldn’t recommend sleeping on it if it’s still pretty tender
4. lol my hairs never gotten caught in it
5. my healing process has been pretty good :))
Can you give me some tips on the healing process?:) I just got mine done yesterday
@@majomarin2210 just keep cleaning it with what the piercer gave you i got given
hydren proxie and keep your hair out of it if you have long hair tie it in buns don’t lie on it for a while!! it will hurt like shit and try not to touch it much otherwise it will get infected they do get infected easily x
I got mine pierced almost 6 months ago, and it’s finally starting to heal.
I dunno, I had a really amazing piercer... I got mine three days ago but I don’t wake up with crusted blood and it isn’t sore almost at all anymore. also I know most piercers recommend sea salt and warm water, but mine recommended antibacterial soap and contact solution. I know cleaning piercings is a very difficult topic, I’ve decided to just trust my piercer since I totally trust him 🤷♀️
Realest person to talk about this...everyone else was lying and saying it doesn’t hurt but it fucking hurts so bad.
I went in wearing my glasses, and the piercer pierced my ear so that my glasses don't bump into my piercing. But I also have very thin frames.
When I got mine pierced he did the top first and it didn’t hurt and when he did the bottom it hurt so I consider if u get one done ask him to do the top one first👍🏻
Ive had my cartlidge pierced over 5 yrs now, & I still get bumps when i sleep on it!!!
Yup nvm I’m not getting it ion want keloids. Even after 5 yrs you still get bumps nope no thank you.
Also if you wake up with blood all over your ear like covered in blood, don't worry it happens to the best of us, just clean it off and youre good
I didn’t know you could get an industrial piercing if you have glasses, I really want one but I think my glasses will get in the way
I am getting one soon and I have glasses...Even tho I really need my glasses to read and stuff I would rather not wear them than hit the piercing every time I put them on or take them off
Evelyn Trypis Yh I would get one but I’m worried that my glasses keep hitting the piercing will effect the healing time... I’m not sure
@@oc2944 Well if you really want one you should just go for it...you just have to be really careful...just bc we don't have 20/20 vision, doesn't mean we can't get something we really want lmao
They can put it in so glasses won’t hit it as much.
Sil Aco was it Gold or Gold plated?
Darlene Jordan I believe it was gold plated it was too late to save it tho 😭
what are signs of being allergic ?
dude i watched this before i got my industrial piercing and i was freaking out like a lot and then i got mine and i’ve had it for 3 days and it does not hurt and i can sleep on it and when i got it was a 3 and the second piercing was a 6 for 2 seconds
I had the best experience with my industrial I got it done at the start of the year the healing process was a breeze anyone who wants to get it go for it!
lilacKat how much would it be ??
What did u use to clean it?
To get an industrial piercing when you have specs, does it look good?
Tell me why the next day after I got mine the pain was literally gone .. idk why I started moving my ear around to see if it would hurt and I felt no pain 💀.
It honestly doesn’t hurt as bad as she makes it seem. Mine healed very well in a month I use the non ionized sea salt water and it helps a ton! I experienced no bumps or blood. It’s how you take care of it. Don’t use solution and soap as much as you should use the sea salt water.
Mine doesn't hurt at all. I watched her do it in a mirror lol. I love it so much.
Just got mine pierced 4 days ago. It hasn’t bled since the day I got it and it doesn’t hurt much. Keep in mind everyone’s healing process is different. Some takes weeks, some 3-6 months and some take up to 2 years.
Your honestly so funny hahaha I'm dying 😂
Also I'm on a roll of watching all sorts of videos on industrual piercing because I want one
Side note you are really pretty! Also don’t give up it will heal, and looks cute on you.
The travel pillow is such a game changer . I wish I knew that info before I got my vertical industrial 😫
K, so
Your content is good, u edit good, you’re a good speaker
*And u don’t have more subscribers?*
Like what 😂😂 I feel like I somehow cheated the system and I don’t even know how lmao
very late, when u go to clean the piercing do u move it up and down or just leave it still ?
My neck pillow is my best friend for my industrial peircing
It had healed in 2 months too
I just got mine done. My piercer said to clean it 3 times a week. He gave me a spray should I spray it everyday?
Krystal 89x saline solution 2-3x a day, no alcohol or anything else that’ll dry it out
@@nephswrld7930 yeah that's what I have been doing. Thank you!!
I'm glad I got my piercing before I watched this video... It does hurt but it looks so good... Worth it
The reason the first one hurt and the second one isn’t as bad is because of your adrinaline.
Those travel pillows that go around your neck...I use them to sleep on. Works like a charm.
Vincebae sea salt, cosmetic q tips from Walmart and 100% tea tree oil are your best friends! 🙂
It was so easy.
the fact that i enjoyed the needle going trough the top part and feeling it go trough my skin then the cartridge and then skin again
IMAGINE if they actually made magnetic industrial piercings were you just had to stick the pole between your ear and then the top parts (which are like if you had an arrow style for example) just connected magnetically to the pole inside like - that would be MUCH better and safer than getting a pole though your ear 😂
i had absolutely zero pain at all whatsoever and i have a very very low pain tolerance. it’s different for everybody
Get a U shaped neck pillow to put Around ur ear! Then u can sleep on ur side comfortably!
I felt every part of the sleeping part LMFAOOOO I’m so mad wtf
I feel like the editing is unnecessary, it distracts. You're so calm, it would suit you much better to just keep it "natural" so the visual is not dominating over you. The edits you're trying to do is for the hyperactive and comedy like RUclipsrs. You're someone I would like to listen to and hear what you say. Just be you without the mainstream editing, it makes you come through much better.
Christa O. I like it, y’all always mad about something 😂
I literally stopped watching because of it
Personally my industrial peircing really doesn’t hurt very much at all? Idk why.. I just got it too. I sleep on it sometimes too
Do you hit your piercings with your glasses 👓?
Darlene Jordan usually they pierce it far enough away from where your glasses sit
I hit mine and it was sore for the first couple weeks, now it isn't bad anymore.
When I first got mine pierced I couldn’t wear sunglasses normally 😩
it hurts so much when mine hit it omg
Tiffany Davis yeah lmao i do the same except i had a bit of crust today and did the qtip salt thing
Finally someone i can relate to lol.
I've went through exactly the same! The top one is hella painful for some reason
Abby Mckain same
few of my coworker had tongue piercings and I asked one to show me the jewelry, it looks like it would be very painful to get it pierced:( but she recommended I get it done too. Ur brave to get it
i'm getting my done soon for my birthday-
Did you get it done? How was the experience?
Just got mine two days ago! No pain at all when they were piercing it. Only pain for an hour afterwards. Pain free since I got it. Cleaning it also doesn’t hurt for me either.
I went out and got mine done by sheer coincidence with no preperation, man... this is gonna be a long ride
I’m sorry, but I got mines today and it didn’t hurt as much as everyone says. But I know it will tomorrow idk. Maybe ,I hope not lol.
your editing is lowkey amazing
yesss bro the top hurt SOO bad😭😭😭. but i love it now
right!! I got mine done yesterday and the top, hurt bad ash
I got mine pierced literally yesterday and there was no blood and it didn’t hurt, it really isn’t as bad as everyone says it is.
Ive got mine in july and i can sleep on my industrial
I had my industrial piercing just a little bit over 5 weeks. It did hurt a little bit when I first got it done. I have been sleeping on my left side because it is on my right side. My pain level was a 3 out of 10. I still love it!!
I didn't really experience much of these problems. Didn't hurt that much. Made my own solution.
I was lucky that with my tragus I didn’t get any bumps but surprisingly by belly button was hell to heal
