Wow! I am not a rainbow person, give me autumn or winter colors, but this shirt is beautiful. It is amazing and cheery. Thank you for the wonderful video.
I love this! My theory on geodes is the more colors the merrier! My max has been 12, but after seeing this, I might try for more. I love your tutorials and get some great tips. I never would have thought to tie up the center portion of the shirt when I was finished with the geodes. It makes a big difference. So thank you for all the work you put in to teach us!
Thank you! I agree - I love using a lot of colors on geodes. There are so many sections - I figure that I may as well fill them with something different. I'm really glad you enjoy the videos - thank you for watching!
This is gorgeous! I love all the colours together but especially the bottom left (while looking at it on screen) part of the front.. with the rusty oranges, greys and blues. Stunning. Hmm but it might be difficult to figure out which specific colours those are haha
Thank you so much! If I was guessing, I think the rusty orange color is probably either Golden Brown or Terracotta from Dharma Trading Company. I think the grey/blue color is probably Marine from Pro Chemical and Dye, and the lighter blueish color is probably Kingfisher Blue from Dharma.
@@FunEndeavors Oh absolutely, but it is a very good place to start and I really appreciate that. I was already thinking it could be Terracotta. And was hoping the Kingfisher Blue was in there somewhere because I have it but haven't used it yet haha. I don't have Marine from Pro Chem.. do you have any suggestions for possible substitutions from Dharma that might work?
Thank you so much - I'm really glad you love the videos! I got the wooden sinew puller from Nikolay Savin (you can reach him on facebook). The other one I bought from BoredomWithJennShop on Etsy.
Hello! I've been really interested in the geode tying style for a class project on tie dye, but don't think we'll have the time or resources to ice dye and that's all I've seen anyone do with geode style shirts...is ice dying necessary to achieve the look, or does it just add a bit more to the effect of color mixing/seeping under the ties?
You can liquid dye them. However, I think ice dyeing them gives them a more earthy look. The variations in color intensity along with the color splits makes each geode look really unique. If you liquid dyed them, they would be too "perfect" and most of the geodes would look alike.
The color combinations are amazing on this shirt. You are quite the artist, Angie! This one is sublime!
Thank you so much! 😀
This looks fantastic. I love the music you selected too, it’s lazy and dreamy.
Thank you! 🙂
Omg!! Phenomenal !!! Best geode tie dye ever!!!
Thank you - I really love this one too! 😊
This is the best geode tutorial! SO many colors and they are all beautiful! Now to find my lost sinew. 🤔
Thank you - I'm glad you like it! 🙂
I really love geode shirts. Especially when you tie them in that random chaotic way. The earthy tones with reds really is a standout for sure.
Thank you! My thoughts exactly! 😊
Those colours are amazing.
Thank you! 😊
Holy cow, Angie, what an incredible looking shirt!!! I simply love it. Gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤

Thank you! I really like this one too. I think the Southwest colors look really good in geode form. Kind of like a rainbow calsilica stone.
I always love your geodes and this one did not disappoint! I’m getting a wonderful Fall vibe from it as well. ❤️🧡💛
Thanks so much 😊
Amazing outcome! Very agate, natural. I love it.
Thank you so much!
Your geodes rock! Sorry, couldn't help myself. But seriously, they are the best! I like them much more than traditional tie dye (which I love).
Thank you - I'm glad you like them! I love making geodes, they are a lot of fun!
That’s fantastic all the colors worked out really cool together thank you Angie😁✌️
Thanks so much 😊

Love this one! It would also look good in summer beach colors - mermaid etc. I've done a few of those, must try earth tones next - and get some!
Thank you - that's a great idea!
You are the absolute best.
Thank you so much! 😊
Amazing and inspired!!!
Thanks so much!
I looooooove this one! I wish it was mine!!🥰🥰
Thank you! It has already found a new home.
Bad Ass !!!!!!!! Love it !!!!!!

@@throwinpebbles You're welcome! I can't guarantee those are the colors, but it's my best guess when I looked at the colors I used on the shirt.

Oh my goodness nevermind I DO have Marine! I recently made a big Pro Chemical purchase and apparently forgot what I bought haha Yay! 🎉
I love it!!!
Thank you so much! 😀
Love this! My geodes always turn out more like bullseye. I think I should go more random in how I tie them.
For sure - tying from the bottom really does help them not look like bullseyes.
@@FunEndeavors Yes! That was my mistake.
Thank you for being awesome. I absolutely love your videos…and your shirts are to dye for. Where do you get your handles for your string?

Lovely
Thank you so much! 😀
This is awesome, what are you using to wrap it with it looks like wire
I wrap it with a wax coated artificial sinew. Here is a link to what I use: amzn.to/2EF28Lu
hi angie, if you dont mind me asking, what do you mean by grabbing the top layer of the shirt?
Hi! I mean that I only grab one layer of shirt at a time. I don't grab the front and back together.
Do you wear your dust mask while adding dye to the shirt?
Yes, I wear a P100 respirator whenever I handle the dye or soda ash.
Dope
Thanks!
