Fantastic guide! Came our so nice..again awsome! Thank you for showing it in the bag aswell, I'm more of a visual learner so I appreciate that alot seeing the steps. At this end the sound was fine.
@@corkylorenz i used to presoak then tie and let them dry. sometimes theyd come out good but it was super inconsistent so i got frustrated and switched to paul kenneys liquid tech , but this makes me want to try ice again
@corkylorenz Your scientific approach and observation skill unmatched. Love your approach and your work is gorgeous! Question: I’ve been searching for that ice barrier you’re using and I can’t get it to come up in a google search. Please please tell me where to find those or what to search for?
Hey!! I just saw all of your wonderfully encouraging comments! I will be back later but just wanted to answer the black dye question. I do think it matters which black you use, if you want a softly blended shadow effect. Jet black by Jacquard is good for this because it seems to react slower to the fibers. So you can move it more before it’s stuck. You can accidentally wash it completely out with too much ice 😆 Raven black seems to react so fast that it’s blotchy. I haven’t tested many others yet.
Question: Does a lighter, lesser amount of colored dye yield slightly muted color and/or less color spread? Separately, I like how throwing in the black underneath and colors over the ice lends itself to a muted “ripple” background with the pops of color!
The colors do seem to be a little muted? But I wouldn’t say the shirt looks faded. I think more ice helps the dye to spread further. Getting reds to spread is quite a feat tho.
@@corkylorenz No, shirt def doesn't look faded! Did not at all mean anything negative by the term "muted." Perhaps less color saturated would be a better way to phrase it. Very new to this, but I find the more subtle blends far more appealing that say brilliant, super saturated primary colors. What I'm trying to figure out is the degree to which the amount of dye affects the varying levels of a color vs say the random dilution of the dye in water or the color choice in itself. Hard to say, since they are all variables. Love the way the shirt turned out though!
What do you mean? You want to see the shirt being tied? I have other videos showing that process. I don’t do it every video because it’s basically the same.
Fabulous tutorial❤️, what a gorgeous piece! You are awesome 😉
Thank you!! ♥️
Wow! It is gorgeous! I’m just learning ice dying and am so excited:-)
Best yet!! Love the black placement trick. Gorgeous! Sleeves, too!
Thank you so much!! ❤️
That one is amazing.

Awesome job! I am inspired!
OKay, after watching your process in several videos… this one is the sh*t!!!! ❤
Aww Thank you so much! I appreciate your comments on videos ❤️
love this!!!
hmmmm I never gave the soak with a baggie a thought... awesome idea
wow i wish i could get saturation like that on my ice dyes. came out awesome
Do you dye them starting off dry?

Thank you so much! This really helps!

Aww you comment really makes my day. 🥰 those are called “magic tracks” and I think you can get them online or in thrift stores if it’s your lucky day.
This looks great! What did you use for the barrier to contain the ice? I like that it's stackable.
I love the shirt!!!
Love your work Corky! Thanks for sharing your processes. Can you use any black under the ice? Do i need one that splits less?

Informative tutorial! Sound could be a bit louder.
Thank you for letting me know the sound is low. I’ll pay more attention to that next time
It is amazing. Favorite video eva
Thank you so much!! ❤️
Love what you use to keep your ice on the shirt, the multi colored boarder. Do you have a link for it?
Search for “magic tracks” :)
I love the thumbnail 😂
Thank you for noticing that detail in all of this. 😁
Between each section, I hold the string a little so it's not holding the layers so tight against each other.
That’s a good idea! Thank you
your results are great! did you tie this one using the wedge method you shared a few videos ago?
No, All of these ties were parallel to each other :)
Do you pre soak in soda ash?
Omg
‼️‼️HOLY SMOKES😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍‼️‼️💖‼️‼️‼️‼️this is AMAZING ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

while I appreciate a soft color palate I think this could have been a bit brighter. So maybe you wanting to be a bit heavier-handed was instinct?
no tiene gracia mostrar las camisetas amarradas, lo bonito seria ver como es el tutorial completo. no me gusto
